That is what I think as well.
I'm just refering to Hypotetics
Let's say i'm a high profile criminal but also like to indulge in seing escorts.
Yes they could use it to squeeze me, if it's all they can get.
Like we said yesterday.
Most of the stuff that got thrown at Diddy didn't stick. (Probably the baby oil...)
In the end, it was an old law from 1910 that stuck and got him.

But like you said, I dont think it's their purposes to go after clients.
Agree. LeDodo just said what I was thinking. If you’re the mark in this investigation, if you’re the guy they want, they’ll come and get you, burner phone or no burner phone. Chances are you had been under surveillance for weeks.

I would go as far as to say if a regular Joe calls up police to turn himself in for being an XO client, the police will laugh and hang up on him and tell him to call back only when he has an emergency. They don’t give a shit.

If you look at criminal prosecution cases for any criminal cases against clients, the number of people prosecuted is very low year to year, and in almost every case, some level of human trafficking, or abuse to the sex worker is involved. Arrests for the purchase for consideration is low on most LE’s radar for enforcement unless minors are involved or some form of human trafficking is involved.

I have the official data on arrests. These are police statistics from Statistics Canada.

  • In Quebec, in 2024, there were 153 arrests and 133 people were accused of buying sexual services, or communicating for the purposes of buying such services, from an adult. The numbers are rapidly trending upwards: in 2023, it was 66, in 2022: 33, in 2020: 6, for accusations. (1)
  • Regarding the same infraction for the sexual services of a minor. There were 25 arrests in 2024, but only 9 were accused. (2)
  • To put things in perspective, there were 45,736 arrests for assault in Quebec in 2024. (3)
Analysis: These are very small numbers. The strong upward trend in arrests is notable and likely signals a shift in priorities for law enforcement more than a corresponding increase in the volume of infractions. The even smaller number of arrests for people targeting minors, on the surface, contradicts the usual MERB narrative. However, based on media reports, it is likely that most, if not nearly all of these arrests resulted from rare (and mediatized) sting operations (i.e. they were really targeted). These operations actually do not involve any minors, but rather suspects communicating for the purposes of buying sex from minors in response to decoy ads posted by police. The volume of actual minors engaged in the exchange of sexual services for money is almost certain to be much, much smaller than the volume of adults offering the same services, which would contribute to explain why more people are arrested for buying sexual services from an adult. In addition, as pointed out above, accusations of buying sexual services can arise alongside several other infractions, such as assault or sex assault, that are more often reported to the police.

Edit: to clarify sting operations.

Disclaimer: I am not a criminologist and I may have made mistakes in my interpretation of the data. Please consult the sources below. In addition, the corresponding infractions in the Criminal Code can be found here: https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/c-46/section-286.1.html

From my experience, owners like James at Euphoria and even the folks at Vogue when I used them were incredible, and their girls spoke highly of them.

I've had positive experiences with Euphoria as well. And XO too. But there are a lot of smoke and mirrors in this business. Heck, we pay for those smoke and mirrors to believe a pretty girl wants to give their love to us.

Is it only me who thinks that to run an agency in Montreal, you need to have a cut for the mob? I wrote earlier about the meaning that agencies have to buy 'security'.

I don't think what she said contradicts what you said. She just said that our rates (for those who pay sales taxes) are inclusive of GST/QST. But you don't know since I don't write it on my website.

I thought it was obvious that was what I meant lol. Just the average guy being dumb and projecting his lack of basic understanding on someone else

you obviously do not understand what the sale tax is (GST/QST). You charge it on behalf of the government. It has nothing to do with your personal income.

Are you slow, perhaps? You obviously didn't understand what I said. Lmao

Edit : and to be clear, each paragraph was a separate statement. I made a statement about escorts paying income taxes. Then I made an entirely separate statement about the sales tax being factored into our rates. Not my fault you see two paragraphs and assume they're a part of the same point.

One thing I find interesting is XO's site is still active. That does not make sense to me. Would LE not shut down the website?

LE does not give a crap about that. They won't mingle with the client lists. Especially since many of their own names will be in them haha

Alright lets break this down…

For starters, how many 18-25 year old men have the money to access this service? Given today’s rates, i don’t see many active particpants, so lets say this was true, the government/police crack down to take away maybe 0.5% of that age group from accessing sex work? It’s bonkers to me.

They are in a position to pick and choose a subset they believe is easier to criminate which may or may not include the most frequent "loyal" visitors.

As for phone number owners, while cellular companies may not keep the old text and call logs, they do keep the owner information as far as back to eternity these days.

When I was 18-25 I absolutely couldn't afford it, plus I was still involved in traditional dating. The best job I had ages 18-25 between college and starting law school was making $8 an hour managing a pizzeria back in the 1980s. I did make cash tips delivering the pies, on a good night I made maybe $60-$75 in tips on top of the $8/hour. Even then I really couldn't do anything with that money, plus I was still actively dating. It wasn't on my radar to even think about escorts, even though I was very horny.

Never say never. They can if they wanted to. Time to consider using a burner phone for all future bookings. Agencies should be deleting all texts and phone numbers from their phones. Canada is becoming more and more like the US. Better safe then sorry.

I swear they aren't deleting the texts. I don't do this activity often but agencies' responses tell me they have my old texts from months prior. I can bet this can be easily tested.

I know and that is a bad practise. They are not doing clients any favors. I hardly use escorts either way and I will just skip it for a long time till they get their act together and delete the texts and numbers.

Especially since you mentioned “young, horny, underemployed, underpaid and undersexed young men”. These men arent affording sex work services
They would have a better chance with shutting down TikTok and Instagram.
