BOYZZZ!!!!

The game tonight in the Boogie Down Bronx was this years (and last years, haha) version of a World Series game for The Rouge Hosers, as in all they have left to play for, a win against the NYY in yet another lost season in what was supposed to be one for the ages lol, ahhhh sabermetrics rule, dont they? Bwhahahahaahahaahahahahahahaah. One win for them is a huge moral victory while one loss for the Bombers is simply one loss sandwiched inbetween another winning streak starting soon

As I predicted in spring training, they would be out of the race by Mid May, again. I am going to go on record and ahead of Mr.T and predict another cellar dweller finish in 2016 for the "hose" :D

Very impressive start for young gun Luis Severino. The kid was as advertised in his first big league start. :thumb:

GO YANKEES!

Rouge Hose BLOW!

PS... did anyone see that shot by dAvid ortiz *

Stoops,

Says day disturber too cowardly to name his own team. At least Hungry 101 is man enough to stand up for a team alone.

haha, Merlot, you're such an angry man. Such a hater. I like the Yankees, chowder man.

Seriously, by then it will be 132 years since the Leafs, worst team on the North American continent, won a title. Hell...a title? BWAHAHAHA! The Red Sox have 3 World Series Championships in 9 years. That just baseball. What has any team in Toronto had in 9 years. Oh Yeah, a blown game 7 after being up 4-1 with 10:00 left. Try putting that in your trophy case captain No Prisoners.

Back to the Red Sox. Henry Owens did okay last night, then the roof caved in after he left. How about Steven Wright tonight manhandling the vaunted Yankees with the ease of a knuckle-balling artist. He gave up just 4 hits with 9 strikeouts, none of the Yankees first 4 hitters got a hit. Then there's KABOOOOOM!!! Hey did anyone get the flight number of that ball Ortiz hit out of the house Ruth didn't build. A free "Yankees Suck" t-shirt to anyone who can guess the time that shot will actually land. Yeah we know how much Yankees and their fans love being beaten by ORTIZ...right in front of their faces! :thumb: Can you say...The CHOKE of ALL TIME 2004!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers haters,

Merlot

You're projecting your venom on us, Merlot. Hope you can find a good therapist after the Yankees win the 2015 World Series. :thumb:

Boyzzzzzz and Real and Honest Fans,

Geez, beating the red sox is like taking candy from a baby. CC was LIGHTS OUT tonight and about time, then again he was pitching against a minor league team but lights out is still Lights Out!

Rouge Hose Killer, Jacoby Ellsbury with the game winning homer. Another series win for the Empire :thumb:

Honest fans,

Nice game by Eduardo giving up only 6 hits tonight. Just turned 22 at the start of the season. When he gets a little more experience and baseball maturity he could be extremely tough on anyone.

Interesting to see fat boy Sabathia actually pitch in the Bronx like he's being paid to. This bloated porker has a 6.80 ERA at home giving up hits at a .318 avg clip. $22 Million for THIS!!!

Honest fans,

The Yankees beat the Red Sox last night and Sabathia pitched in that 2 to 1 victory. And the Red Sucks are in LAST PLACE, 14 games behind the New York Yankees (my team). Please someone tell Merlot ... gently please. We don't want him to have a ...

How bout those Jays :) beat the Yanks 2-1 in extra innings (10). Now just 3.5 back.

OK, I am jumping on the bandwagon. I always go to a few Jays games every year. And will watch them on TV.

But honestly, this is the first time they have genuine team confidence since

The Yanks better be careful. They won 2 of 3 from the Sox at home but scored only 3 runs in the last 2 games against Sox pitching that had been terrible. With the Jays picking up Price and Tulowitzki the Yanks had better deal with their weaknesses.

Meanwhile to Red Sox beat the Tigers. Not such a surprise with badly underachieving Detroit, but Kelly was on the mound for Boston. That's Kelly who often gets whacked hard an inning or two despite some decent pitching. Then there's the tension among the Tigers. Their catcher didn't like the way Iglesias didn't seem to leg out enough effort on a hit and a dugout argument nearly resulted in a fist fight.

David Ortiz got his 488th home run. By the end of the year he'll be around 495 if he doesn't get hurt. That will put him with in easy range of 500 for next year, then the haters can scream all they want about the Hall of Fame.

Whos YOUR PAPI! :D,

Merlot

Ortiz has 20 Homers in Comerica Park. That is 2 more than Koderko and more than any other visiting player of any team...and he doesn't play in the east. What was the famous line? Big Poppi's my daddy.

And I didn't expect a world series out of the Tigers with the pitching moves that DD made and the hiring a rookie manager with no previous managerial experience.

The problem is that the Tigers have been too good for too long. What I mean is that the league is part socialist. The worse that you do the better the draft picks you get. The Tigers have won the Central the last 4 years. You wind up with the lower draft picks. You end up trading prospects for guys that can help you win that year and raid your system.... So we go up against the Royals that had been horrible for 25 years. Everyone they bring out of the pen throws 100 mph! The Tigers do not have this luxury. Go back to the playoffs last year when the Tigers lost 3 in a row to Baltimore. Remember the pictures of the jerseys of the three Tiger starter Cy Young winners? Scherzer, Price, and Verlander? The Orioles drew ghost buster circle on each jersey after each win. But here is the bold truth: The Tigers were leading after each starter was pulled. They had turned the game over to the bullpen. And "shit-for-brains" Assmunch/Ausmus went to the pen and out jogs Joba Chamberlain. The Baltimore crowd was cheering! Chmberlain had a good first half but couldn't get anyone out in the second half but Brad Ausmus did not want to show panic.

I would like to see a ceremony in Comerica Park and commemerate Brad's two years of service to the team. For the celebtration and recognize Ausmus, I would propose that we bring a vat of hot tar and two supersacks of feathers and a skidish horse dragging a rail that we could tie brad too. We could point the horse toward the Ambassador Bridge over to Windsor Canada and someone could shoot a revolver in the air.

Konerko. I have a habit of calling the ex-1B of the Whitesox Koderko for some reason. But that is an amazing stat.

The trades the Jays made are paying off. Price looked good today. Price was tagged pretty badly by the Yankees in April, but not today. He was in his grove today.

It's going to be an interesting race. All we know for sure is that the Boston Red Sox will not be participating. :thumb: :D

Interesting Topic - Pick your 4 years - The Detroit Tigers or the Boston Red Sox?

http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/pick-your-four-years/

This article was forwraded on to me by a good friend who happens to cheer for the Sox. The question is would you rather be a Tigers or Red Sox fan the past 4 years? The Tigers have won four straight Central div titles and have the most wins in the MLB I believe over the past 4 years. The Red Sox have been absolutly horrible for 3 of the 4 years but happened to win a World Series one year. As a fan would you rather have a team that is in the hunt every year and maybe gets to the WS and loses or would you rather root for a team that is mathmatically eliminated in April for 3 years but wins the World Series one year? I could argue both ways. I voted for the team that wins the most games and is in the hunt but maybe that is not the correct answer? It may be a little of my Tigers bias showing through.

Hungry, i think most knowledgeable fans would pick the Tigers over the terrible Red Sox. We all knew they were plain lucky in winning their last World Series. Most Red Sox fans i know are either invisible these days or walking around with a paper bag on their heads. They are ashamed of the Red Sox and finally agree with me that John 'The Robot' Farrell is by far the worst manager in all of baseball. And this includes the minor leagues!
