I looked at the hotel pictures and of course they all give the impression of a nice hotel and its certainly nicer than the Chablis. However, see the attached daytime picture from the parking entrance view and not quite as glamorous - really a converted 2-story motel. Quite possible her room was at the far-end for privacy purposes.

I know what you mean. Some years ago I traveled to Key West and stayed at the Almond Tree Inn, which at that time was the #1 rated hotel on Key West on Trip Advisor. The website photos (I posted the website below) show what looks like an amazing property. In fact it is a remodeled motel, but it's at least a 4 star property and the rooms are really nice. I stayed there for a week, would stay there again in a heartbeat, but it's truthfully more of a real high end motel than a hotel. Certainly the nicest motel I have stayed at, or seen, in my life, and just Google the reviews and you will see why it's so high rated:

Murdering a criminal is not a punishment. A real punishment would be life ***without*** parole

Way too expensive.

Death penalty.

No reason to pay 100,000$ a year to keep this guy in jail while we need more money for the elderly in the CHSLD and at la Direction de la protection de la jeunesse.

We already spent a lot of money the first time he killed. With his life expectancy, he's going to cost us close to 3 millions dollars. We can put him on the electric chair. It's cheap and efficient. Without pollution. Every bpdy will be happy and safer.

Exactly. Executions are more costly in the end. Maybe if we stopped arresting people for petty reasons we’d have plenty of space in prisons for murderers and rapists. To me, prison should be used as a last resort in cases of violent crimes. Anything else should be dealt with differently. There are too many people in prison who aren’t a threat to anyone and shouldn’t be taking space and ressources in prisons. Home confinement is a good alternative, for example. And there are many other possibilities.

I think that you're wrong.

Execution are very cheap to carry on.

What is costly is the appeal process that the guy might launch. The attorneys are making a lot of money. It doesn't cost much to the State because the judge and the legal system is paid for anyway. And the legal cost of the process is supported by the criminal.

To keep in jail a dangerous criminal cost at least 100,000$ a year (rapport annuel du vérificateur général du Canada, édition 2009). That is a lot of money and bear in mind that we do not spend as much on the elderly who worked and paid taxes all their life.

Ok love, I actually don't care that you'd rather we spend that money on more decorations like the lights on the bridge. That's on you. If you think the money we'd save by killing people would be spent intelligently you have so much to learn about this country & province lol.

At the end of the day my opinion isn't going to change. I'm not (and have never been) one of the delusional people who think their tax money is spent intelligently. Nor have I ever been one to complain ''BUT MUH TAXES, BLEH GRRR''. I don't care. I live my life, they can do whatever they want with my tax money, at the end of the day I'm still eating the same breakfast and going to the same places and making the same money regardless. I honestly couldn't care less that my tax money goes to prisons or schools or bridges.

So, my opinion is not changing, no matter how much you want to disagree with me. Let's agree to disagree, that is all. I am against murder and you are pro-murder and none of us is going to change their minds sooo... End of discussion.
