I've actually grown to tolerate you some recently but this statement is downright asinine!! Merb was fantastic before you came on the scene and Merb will be just as fantastic when you decide to leave (for another 11 seconds..Lol). :D

Actually, that's 11 Minutes!:D:D:D BTW, Merb will be around long after I am gone but the fact still remains that I contributed an inordinate amount on this board over the past nine months. For some it was too much and I am definetely not everyone's cup of tea, but the fact remains that a good chunk of the threads that I started were a hell of a lot deeper than baseball or acronyms.

I am putting a good chunk of money to bet on the high probability that the Great General will reach and hit his 2000th post in this thread.

Don't let me down stud.

I don't think it needs to be closed Maxima, everyone's being civil for the most part and there has been some very interesting posts.

Baseball died in my soul when we lost the Expos. I have never recovered!

Speaking of baseball...

If it wasn't for John Henry the great master trend follower of JWH & Co. of Boca Raton, the Red Sox does suck.

Maxima.. there is no need to lock this thread. I need to win my bet.

One of the best trend followers in the biz and I believe he started trading at the tender age of 21.;)

Actually the best one is Bill Dunn of Dunn Capital of Stuart, Florida.

Yes John Henry is one of the best. His ability to apply the quantitative approach of Sabermetrics into baseball was about time since baseball is such a statiscally rich game. Way long overdue.

Now we probably have something new to argue about!

I beg to differ. Have you ever heard of a young chap called Monroe Trout?

Monroe Trout retired from the game....

Bill Dunn is still going strong. You would be bored out of your mind working for him since his office is like walking into a sleepy accountant's little hideout.
