...? I don't understand..

We are all lonely and fighting battles that nobody knows nothing about. It's not an excuse to abuse people. This isn't about you, unless you are harassing women, saying racist things to them, pressuring them to do certain things etc.

People like this are cruel and sadistic, they are not ''lonely''. I understand that not receiving the friendship, love and tenderness we need and feeling ostracized can create feelings of anger, but taking them out on other people is unacceptable.
I totally agree. Completely unacceptable. There are many times to not pass judgement... the person asking for change at the metro station, the person walking down the street shouting nonsense, the person having a pee behind the dumpster in the alley... This is not one of those. Harassing, intimidating, threatening others is never acceptable regardless of what that person is going through. Full stop.

But hold on, I should feel bad for the man randomly insulting me on a beautiful Saturday morning? I should be empathic and say: poor dude he probably had a rough day I’ll be his punching bag ❤️

What’s next? I should give him the N word pass to make his day better?

I will judge because that’s completely ridiculous. It didn’t make me cry or hurt my feelings because unfortunately with this job I’m used to receiving spiteful messages

I’ve shared it because I think a few of you truly don’t know what it’s like to handle our phone and why so many girls retire without any warning

This thread definitely makes me think and get more awareness about many situations SPs have to deal with.

Recently one SP shared with me a story about a client that was refusing to take a shower as he already took one, killing completely the connection and turning off the mood in the rest of the encounter.

I think from a human perspective, we cannot expect good chemistry with a SP if we don't put at least some effort from our side to create a win-win situation.

Now I cannot imagine how anxiety, frustrations and disrespect and insults can lead to a positive outcome while texting a SP.

Remember that first impressions are important and even though we make businesses there's still a human factor involved between customer-SP.

Let's make love, not war.

Hello Luna,
Recently I mentioned that I am not from here. This unique life experience allows me to divide important from unimportant things. Based on what I saw in the past and what I see now, trust me here in North America nobody should complain for nothing.
It's really up to you would you allow this to abuse you. When it's absolutely clear that it's not on your level to answer such a person and to accept his behavior as an insult, you just simply allow him to abuse you. Life is too short to allow yourself to be disappointed by people who simply couldn't be anyone else.

Your life, your decisions. However, life's too short to invest time into should you ignore or answer him. As a man, I can tell you that the greatest punishment for a man is silence.

I understand where you're coming from, we are lucky in North America and privileged, but I don't think your experience is an excuse to be dismissive of people telling you they are getting harassed and degraded and insulted. Would you say the same thing if one of us was physically attacked? "Don't let him his punch in the face abuse you"

That however is the truth. That's why posting about it here doesn't get us any sympathy.

What is being shared here is the tip of the iceberg only. I was a victim of domestic violence & other things I won't mention before and it really breaks my heart to see someone tell me that if someone is verbally, physically or sexually abusive it's my choice to let it affect me or not. I'm probably going to delete my comment here but I kinda hope someone will remember to be careful. We are not spoiled princesses complaining for no reason. But honestly I don't really have any reason to believe anyone cares really.
Hello Luna,
When I was young I was sexually abused by a man for a long time. These days I have the opportunity to choose whether to live in happiness or with the burden of the past. Everything in this life is a matter of choice.

Life is what happens while we are thinking about it. I wish you don't have time to be sad. Only the opinion of your loved ones is important, everyone else is just temporary in your life.

But also not an event that could potentially destroy your internal world.
This is a very judgmental comment. None of us know that. This woman who was involved in rescuing foxes committed suicide due to online bullying. It turns out she was on the autism spectrum and hypersensitive to criticism.
If her husband read your comment he would likely want to punch you in the face.

There is something very special here in North America. People are trying to create problemens from nothing.
I am still young (40+) but I was part of the army and I saw how people are dying. A real, real problem.
Please - nobody outside your friendly circle can hurt you. Nobody.

So we are all sensitive weaklings in NA and those of us that consult psychologists, psychiatrists etc have no backbone or life experiences?

Please my friend, think before you write such things. You don't have to go to war to see hardship and despair. With a little empathy we can see it almost anywhere.

A smile will not stop bullets but it may just give the person you just crossed the boost to go through their day.

And with all respect, for your country, thank you for your service.
