Could someone please explain what the hell is Carlos Pena who has 40 hr and 112 rbi's doing playing for the Devil Rays, wasn't he a Red Sucks player just last year? is this another blunder by jr (A.k.A Epstoned), I swear I really think that the only reason that jr is the GM is because he is gay and is doing a good job of blowing his gay lover(Henry), Lugo, Matsuzaka, Crisp, Drew, Gagne, Pena, how many fuck ups can the man make and he still has the top job, I am very suspicious.
Nice work, Joe, you fucking moron. Actually, Pena spent most of 2006 playing for the Columbus Clippers, the top farm club of the NY Yankees. After the Yankees released Pena, the Sox picked him up for September.

Meanwhile, Brian Cashman has burned over 1 BILLION of George's dollars since the turn of the century and still has absolutely nothing but failure to show for it. I guess he's been sucking Steve Swindal off on a routing basis, giving further explanation to the failure of his marriage.

Good morning Dead Sox fans, a big hug and a huge kiss goes out from Joe.t to the Boston bullpen who are peaking just at the right time and to Terry "fucked up" Francona who gets my vote for dumb ass manager of the year award.

PS- Papelbon i love ya man!!!:D

1978 all over again!!![/SIZE].
Actually, Joe, you fucking moron, the Red Sox are busily trying to set their roster for the playoffs, resting the regulars, setting the rotation, piecing together the bullpen.

Meanwhile, the Yankees are trying to win the division. Cano hasn't had a day off since May, A-Rod since early August.

While all this is going on, the corpse of Johnny Damon is running out of time to catch Coco Crisp. With the difference now at .012 and barely a week left in the season, I think it's just about time for me to make my appointment with Aimy.

First round pick of the Texas Rangers, has been in the following organizations:
Oakland,Detroit,NYY, Boston,now TB. Having a career year.

No need for the language you seem to favour.

Certainly a career year for the Haverhill, MA native, though he's had good ones before. While he's always hit for low average, he's walked enough to keep his OBP almost respectable and his slugging has always been above par. I'm not quite sure why Detroit gave up on him.

This is a fucking escort review board, not a stopover for Mormon missionaries. Fucking is what this board is all about. Well, fucking and sucking.

Hello Eastender,

Come on EE, you aren't telling the mighty Joe. t in his arrogant attitude that the Yankers actually had their chance with Carlos Pena and this was another "blunder" by Steinboner??? Are you trying to make Josey eat his own words or his foot? Oh say it ain't so. Josey is never WRONG AGAIN!

Cheers Josey,

Carlos Pena

Carlos Pena is an interesting player in that many organizations gave up on him, including the Yankees and Red Sox. He was a highly touted prospect when he originally came to the majors. I recall reading at least one publication that said he was the top rookie prospect at the time he first came up. Usually with talented guys like this that have bounced around, there are behind the scenes reasons why they have bounced around: drinking problem, attitude/maturity problem, conditioning issues, fragility, etc. I don't know which, if any, apply to Pena. In his younger days, he did have holes in his swing, a la his namesake Willy Mo Pena. I do know that when the Yankees recently lost two of three to TB at home, Pena was a big reason why. He crushed every mistake pitch that was made to him. Perhaps he is just a late bloomer.

Carlos Pena was born in Santo Domingo,D.R. Guess that is a suburb of Haverhill,Ma. He did move to the USA at an early age and as a result qualified for the baseball draft.

Yes it is an escort review board but out of well over 10,000 members you and the aforementionned poster are the only ones who seem to delight in using vulgarities. This keeps many potential posters from participating in this thread.
This may be your objective since you have issues with posters who question your points or favour other teams or simply enjoy the game and the numbers.

The board features many political or controversial threads BUT the vulgarities that you and another poster favour are never part of the discussion be it in English or French.

Using such language would have resulted in a very quick exit from a strip club and a quicker hang-up or delete when trying to communicate with escorts.

The use of vulgarities comes down to the old adage that "If you had nothing to say at least you said it poorly."

I personally don't go to strip clubs; they're quite a bit too seedy for my taste. And, for the most part, I reserve my looser tongue for locker rooms, such as this one.

I don't have an Aunt Beatrice, but if I did, she'd be the Yankees best defensive first baseman.

Watch your fucking language, Sonny. This shit absolutely has to stop. I've been looking at some other threads and I've noticed that one guy used the word "pussy" more than once and from the context it was quite obvious that he wasn't talking about the tabby next door. Not only that, but it's been brought to my attention that the acronym "BJ" stands for blow job, referring directly to the act of sucking cock. This is a fucking public forum, people. Don't you know that Lenny Bruce went to jail for saying that!!!

What a great year Posada is having. If it weren't for A Rod, he could be named this year's AL MVP.
He'd certainly be 3rd or 4th on my ballot. Ordonez would be number 2. It will be quite interesting to see the contract Posada gets this winter. He's a catcher and 36. Quite dangerous to give him a long term contract, but he's really having an unprecedented year for a catcher of his years.

Posada

I must admit I am really surprised at the career Posada has had. When he first came up I figured he would be a low average hitter with some power. He has turned out to be a better hitter than what I ever imagined he would be. If you look at him physically though, he has very large, popeye type forearms, so it is not a total surprise in terms of his physical gifts. If you look at his games played since 1998, he has been as durable as any catcher in the game. No numerous trips to the DL, no nagging injuries like the much younger Joe Mauer has had this year. In fact I don't even recall him ever being on the DL, although it has probably happened a few times.

I think he has also improved as a catcher. He is a very hard worker. Earlier in his career he had a very good throwing arm, but he had a very bad problem with passed balls, did not block the plate well on plays at home and also did not call a good game. He still has a good throwing arm, does not allow as many passed balls (even catching the likes of Joba Chamberlain whose atomic-powered slider must be as hard to catch as it is to hit) and calls a much better game. As far as blocking the plate, he took Eric Hinske full speed and keeps on ticking. Now that the Yankees have a competent backup in Molina, Posada can be rested judiciously, although for him to be putting up the numbers he has put up at age 36 is quite amazing. I agree he is top 5 in MVP voting.

Hello all,

Good lord...Gagne with an 8-1 lead. His second pitch went straight into the dirt a good 5-10 ft in front and to the right of Varitek. Damn. But two quick outs. Time to worry? Geeez, 1-2-3 and game over...Beckett goes to 20-6.

Hallelujah!

My condolences rumples on your loss as I am sure she was a very delusional Red Sox fan as well as a good person just like her nephew, but the good thing is that she will not witness the inevitable horrendous collapse of the Red Sox, your concern now should be with your poor Aunt Gertrude.:)

Actually, Joe, dear Aunt Gertrude is a Yankee fan. And a sad one to boot, as her 7 year old grandson, Derek, does not know what it's like to root for a winner.

Hello Joe. t,

Great pitching game between the Blue Jays and the Yankers tonight. Damn, you almost stole one...oooops...should not use that phrase too often around Steingrabber...but you almost stole one due to some poor fielding by the Jays. Too bad it didn't quite work out.

As for the Sox...strange game. They get struck out 17 times and still win going away. Beckett was super after the 1st inning and should now be the leading Cy Young contender at 20-6, 3.19 ERA.

Cheerio,

Korbel

The Season in Review

My prediction for the AL East-

1. Yankees-Too much fire power, Jeter(Batting title?),WRONG, Arod(40 plus hr?) No credit, too easy, Cano(Batting title?) WRONG, Abrehu, Giambi, Matsui(over 100 rbi?), Wang(CY Young ?) WRONG, Rivera(best reliever of all time?), Clemens(in pinstripes?) all realistic possibilities, need i go on?

2. Blue Jays(Frank Thomas is my MVP pick if he stays healthy, i look for him to club close to 50 hr with well over 100 rbi, also look for them to make some major pitching aquisitions during the season as Rogers has given Riccardi his cheque book)WRONG

3. Red Sox(Boy it sure took a loooooooooonnng time to get that Drew contract signed, what could possibly have been the hold up:rolleyes: , injuries and lack of depth will do them in again and look for big Papi to regress this year which is the likely scenario after someone signs a huge contract which he did last year)WRONG

One more prediction, Igawa will win more games then D-MatWRONG and maybe even Rookie of the yearWRONG, care to make some bold predictions Reggy my boy or is your tail still stuck between your legs?:)
This rates a 10 on the fucking moron scale. Nice job getting 2 of 3 right in the RBI column.
