As I said above I think Ohlendorf is also going to make the playoff roster. He would make it if I was managing the team, anyway.

Putting a player with 6.1 innings of MLB experience on a playoff roster is the clearest admission that the Yankees pen sucks that I have seen in all my years of watching baseball. What utter desperation.

I imagine young Ross Ohlendorf is a fine young man. My heart goes out to him and his family. Joe Torre and Brian Cashman should be ashamed of themselves for the embarrassment they're subjecting him to.

Here's a couple of numbers to chew on:

32-17, the Indians record against left-handed pitchers this year, most considerably better than the mediocre Pettitte

.198, Carmona's ERA in 5 starts this September.

Frankly, I don't know why I'm rooting for Cleveland in this series, other than my visceral, lifelong dislike for the Yankees. As a Sox fan, I'm much more afraid of facing the Tribe in the ALCS.
