Joe understands that "fucking moron" is a term of endearment in this case.

As I see it before the Red Sox are competitive again because as history shows they will tank during the second half they'll need:

1. a catcher- I burst out laughing when i saw his salary(11 million), also injury prone and will be 36 next year
2. a first baseman- Youkilis is average at best,
3. a third baseman- The way this guy tanks during the second half of the season year after year is pathetic, definitley a upgrade is needed here.
4. a center fielder- What a complete bust this guy has turned out to be, is having a fluke run of late but how long will that last, why do you think the Indians got rid of this bum.
5. a right fielder- Another complete bust and his injury prone body could go anytime, gee i wonder what took the Red Sox so long to sign him to a contract.
6. a designated hitter- Okay okay i will admit they have one solid position solidified
7. a left fielder- Ramirez is a joke in the field and will be 36 next year and is always in constant trade talks, is he really going to be worth the 20 million that they are paying him.
8. a shortstop- They are paying this sack of shit 8 million, another brilliant move by Epstoned.
9. pitching rotation- Who's combined age is i think aroung 3 million years old, give or take a million.

Wow!! what a job the Red Sox have a head of them.

Hello Josey,

What an assessment. DAMN! The Red Sox must truly be horrendous according to your astute perceptions. Just doesn't figure then that they would be up over the perfect Yankees by 10 games. Geeeeez...maybe...you should try looking at the world with your head out of the toilet.

Wake up,

Korbel

Hello Korbel my delusional friend.:)

Let me paint the big picture for you and tell why the Yankees will win the division

1.The Yankees have a much weaker 2nd half schedule then the Red Sox.
2.The Yankees always play better in the 2nd half while the Red Sox always tank(remember last year, who can forget the Boston massacre).
3.The trade deadline is July 31 and i am expecting a big move by Cashman.
4.Hughes the hottest baseball pitching prospect in all of baseball along with Giambi will hopefully be back.
5.Clemens is starting to hit his stride and i am expecting him to pitch the lights out the rest of year, is there a better 1-2 punch than Clemens and CY Wang?,need i say more my dear korbel.
6.Ahh!! 1978, that year is forever etched in my memory, i am sure you remember it as well as i do.

Let me repaint the big picture for you, if I may.
1. The Red Sox have the easiest remaining schedule of any team in the AL. 39 of the Sox remaining 75 games are at home; the Yanks have 40 of 77 on the road. The Red Sox have 20 games remaining against teams with .500 records or better; the Yankees 23.
2. The Yankees are not usually as old and brittle as they are now.
3. You are the only one on the face of the earth expecting a big move by Cashman. If he does make a big move, it will be to dump Abreu and Pettitte and toss in the towel for 2007. They have nothing to trade other than prospects and they aren't trading them. Overall, the "smart guys" are expecting a very quiet trading season.
4. Yes, Hughes will be back. Anybody placing all their eggs in the basket of a 20 year old rookie is in big fucking trouble. Oooh, Giambi. The rest of the league is quaking.
5. Yes, several. Lackey and Weaver. Verlander and Bonderman. Haren and Gaudin. Beckett and Matsuzaka. Just to name a few.
6. 1978. Keep it well etched in your memory, Joe. It's about all you have left to hang your pathetic pinstriped hat on.

Once again, Joe, you fucking moron, please forgive me for confusing you with the facts.

Hello Josey,

I remember 1978. I think Rumpleforeskiin and Doc Holiday covered that situation abundantly. Do you remember every year since 2000, including 2004 with the greatest choke in baseball history...maybe all of sports. No wonder the back of every Yankem ticket and wrapping or container of every product sold at the ballpark comes with instructions for the Heimlich Maneuver. Is it "Yankee Pride" these days when a team where the contracts of the top nine players salaries adds up to over $1,000,000,000 and they still can't win the World Series. This monster bucks team has blown two World Series and folded like no other team with a 3-0 lead in the ALCS. DAMN! Come on Josey...tell David Ortiz who your "DADDY" is...LOL!

As for Clemens, no doubt he will have great days at times. But don't get deluded. He was never a big game pitcher. Clemens has been fabulous overall in his career. I saw him pitch once against the Yankees when you could hear his pitches snap like a firecracker into the catchers glove from the seats well behind third base near the Green Monster. But he has tightened and folded more often than not in the playoffs. I was there at the park when it happened in the ALCS in 1986 during his glory year as a young and strong pitcher when he was unquestionably the best in the league. Now that he is in his mid 40s I don't see him doing any better than 8-5 for the rest of the year. Given the rest of the pitching staff, that doesn't add up to much of a playoff run. Your best and only chance will be key Red Sox injuries just like last year during the alleged massacre. Speaking of injuries, How is Damon's shoulder these days...hmmmm? Nice steal huh. But no championship yet.

Face it Josey. The Sox simply do not have a stupid manager who would let pettiness get in the way as they did in 1978. And the Yankees simply do not have the pitching staff or the team to make a serious run at a healthy Red Sox team. Pray for more injuries or reserve some golf time now.

Bronx cheers, :D

Korbel

Heimlich Maneuver for all Yankee fans

PS

I'm going to the game on Saturday. Watch for me to throw a big kiss from me to you buddy.

Here's a little quize for the math inclined:

You have $200,000,000 and 162 days to flush that sum down the toilet. How big a toilet do you need?

Here's another one for extra credit: How big a toilet do you need to flush $1,000,000,000 given 7 years to accomplish the task?

Actually, the Crisp signing is looking pretty good at the moment. And to think, he's costing the Sox about 1/3 of what the Yanks are paying for the corpse of Johnny Damon.

Whatever you like, my man. You know, one only has to sit around a little while before you come up with yet another stupid bet. What kind of stakes you looking for, pal?

And, by the way, YOU are not giving me a .020 lead right off the bat. Coco is.:D

No answers? Quite simple actually. You would need a toilet bowl the size of Yankee Stadium. Same answer to both questions.

Well, I wonder if Clemens is big enough to refuse his $850,000 check for his miserable performance tonight.

You got it, m'man. I'll make my appointment with Maria Divina now, in fact. I must say that Coco's got a huge advantage since Damon doesn't get any cracks at those Clemens meatballs.

Margarito won't even go through Cotto, I'm putting a $200 wager on this one. Clottey was outboxing Margarito BIG TIME before he broke his left hand.

Hello Rumpleforeskiin,

Shhhhhhhhh...don't tell Joe t what happened tonight with Clemens. Joe's a genius who never makes mistakes. Don't you know that. Joe t said: "i am expecting him to pitch the lights out the rest of year"...so the results for the Yankems tonight must have been a mistake. It was me who implied Clemens is only mortal, and of course the great legend could never lose to Tampa Bay, one of the worse teams in the league which the Sox just swept. It must have been me who was wrong. My goodness Joe t. Please excuse Rumples for being a non-believer. I'm with YOU buddy. Surely the umpires must have gotten the calls wrong and the real results will be posted soon. Hey...yu da grate est maaaaaan.

Who's you daddy,

Korbel

It's game 7 of the 2004 ALCS between the Red Sox and the Yankees...........Damon comes to the plate here in the second with the bases loaded..........it's a long fly ball...back....back...back...it's a grand slam by Johnny Damon and the Red Sox now lead 6-0 here in game 7 of the ALCS to determine who will go on to the World Series..............Yankee fans are in a total state of shock here in the second inning......
