Seriously tho i always liked Radulov since his days playing for the Rampart in Quebec City. He was amazing to watch live back then in the pepsi colisee.

Radulov's problems have always been between his ears. Skill-wise, never a problem. But attitude-wise? Many teams have preferred to stay away from him because of his attitude. Hopefully for the habs and himself, he's matured. A productive season without incidents will earn him a big NHL contract next season.

McDavid is tied with 3 other guys for the NHL scoring lead, but none of the 3 are remotely serious threats to even be in the top 5 at the end of the year. I mean Richie Panik is not going to lead the NHL in goals. It's not happening. McDavid is going to lead the NHL in scoring.

The GEO have been playing some pretty weak teams so far, the test comes when they play some real contenders.

Auston Matthews of the Maple Leafs is now leading the lead in scoring and is tied for goals. I'm very surprised the prized rookie would be so dominant this early in his young career.

I know someone who told me that it's the only meaningful stat in hockey- plus minus.

Well then he doesn't know shit. Dave Semenko probably had a +100 when he played alongside Gretzky. If Morgan Rielly played in front of Carey Price his plus/minus numbers would be much better. Anyone playing on Mario Lemieux's line probably had great plus/minus numbers also. And the players playing against Lemieux or Gretzky's line likely had low plus/minus numbers whenever they played against them.

The plus/minus numbers are all relative to who you play with, who you play in front of, who you play against and on which team you play for. Trust me, Shea Webber's numbers would likely be in the minuses if he played for a team like the Leafs or Sabres.

That's great!

Hopefully there'll be more Canadian teams in the playoffs this season. Last year not a single Canadian team!

The habs should be a lock for the playoffs. Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto and Ottawa are playing well right now and are a possibility. Calgary should improve and so will Winnipeg.

Toronto playing well? You have been drinking too many bud light doc ;) But anyhow, I do admit that Toronto is on the right direction and will be a contender in a year or 2. Which is great because Toronto deserve a winning team!! I fucking love Toronto, it's a hockey town that deserve to win the cup!

Cheers,

The GEO won again, Talbot stood on his head doing very well again. Detroit looks very good this year also, perhaps some life left in them still. Habs off to a great start also.

You don't think the Leafs have been playing well? Have you watched them this season? They're one of the top puck-possession teams in the league and playing very exciting hockey. But they've once again been a victim of bad goaltending which has led to playing catch-up hockey and losing leads in the third period. They should have beat the Blackawks in Chicago, leading 4-0 at one point. They lost a couple of games in the shootout. With good goaltending, they may have lost only one game so far. But kudos to the Viking for bouncing back and playing a strong game in their last game.

Edmonton won last night, which is great since the NHL is a better league when the Oilers are playing good hockey. The Canucks? An aging team with aging superstars. The Flames? The jury is out but i think they were a better team with Bob Hartley coaching. The Jets? They should be an improved team with Patrick Laine, but they did lose Andrew Ladd and Jacob Truba's absence isn't helping. The Sens will be like last season, a team on the fence. The habs? They always do well in October, so wait until they start dealing with injuries like most teams do. But the NHL is a better league when the habs play well, just like the Red Wings.

It should be an interesting and exciting season!

Hum your right, I have not seen them much, missed that they were playing well. Then they will most probably start winning. Which is great. But wait, not tonight! Go Habs!

Nice win for the Habs last night in a close game. I noticed that the Habs treated Austin Matthews very roughly when he skated down the middle into the net, at one point being violently tripped into the net, and at another being roughed right into the net. I think the Habs coaches encouraged their defensemen to introduce themselves to Matthews. Matthews does look like a very tough kid but he has to be careful.

I have been impressed with Nylander every time I have seen him play. This kid is legit. He and Matthews form a nice tandem and could develop like Joe Sakic and Peter Forsberg did for Colorado around 20 years ago. Their talents have to be developed but they could be a dynamic duo down the road.

Mitch Marner may one day turn out to be the best of that trio. He very well may have been the Leafs' best player this season. I doubt the Leafs will be sending him back to the juniors later this week.

The Oilers had those issues with their young picks and no one to defend them, until now. Toronto needs someone to defend the kids.
