Plus Ovie got his bell wrung when he accidently collided with TJ Oshie. He stayed down for a few seconds and struggled to the bench, only to be forced to undergo concussion protocol in the dark room. We'll be keeping an eye on this since we know concussion symptoms often show up later.

On a different note William Nylander picked up three assists last night. The Nylander-Kadri-Brown line was possibly the top line out there last night. Auston Matthews also picked up a much-needed goal earlier in the game to tie it up.

GEO looking for a new GM, any takers?

What a Mickey Mouse outfit!! I really feel bad for the fans who've had to put up with this nonsense for way too many years! Connor McDavid's patience seems to growing shorter & it wouldn't surprise me if he demanded a trade. He'd love to play for his hometown team (Leafs) and i wonder if the Leafs couldn't put up a nice package for the Oilers to agree to accomodate McDavid (if he indeeds does request a trade)?

Here's one offer if i put on my Leafs GM hat:

McDavid for Nylander, Kadri, Kapanen & a first-round pick. Any takers?

Look behind you.
^^^^^^ The Leafs can not afford him, they need to trade sme of the players they have now to meet the cap next season. The Nylander deal fucked them as Marnier and Matthews will want huge money.
The Oilers will get into the playoffs as they are in a weak division.

Yesterday i watched All Star Skills and what a performance by Lundquist ...very impressive...he stops 12 in row:yo:...the record is 14 by Fleury. Will watch the games tonight and cheer for the Pacific Division.....enjoy.....

......et vraiment dommage que les Habs--une aussi prestigieuse organisation--n'aient pas de représentant. Évidemment Price avait été désigné mais il a refusé d'y participer...sûrement que Weber y aurait eu sa place....my two cents.

You are right Gaby, too bad Habs dont have anyone there especially since they are doing well this season.

Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Jake Muzzin from the LA Kings for a 1rst round draft pick, Grundstrom and Durzi. Leafs needed help back there so Dubas moved quickly

This is a very good trade for the Leafs, acquiring a top 4 defenceman who will likely play next to Norris trophy candidate Morgan Rielly.

Jake Muzzin is signed through next year & this season will only cost the Leafs 1,483,871 in cap space.

The players the Leafs gave up are not currently on their roster and who knows if they ever would have played for the Leafs. As for the first-round pick they gave up he would have been a low first round pick, which often fail to find regular NHL employment.

It's a very good trade for both teams & Muzzin likely would have ended up costing more had the Leafs waited until the trade deadline to acquire him. And had this happened some other team would have likely scooped him up.

^Yes i agree. I think the Leafs got a pretty good deal and LA got the assets they were looking for as they rebuild

What the hell is wrong with Patrick Laine?

Three goals in December & only one goal in January. One goal!!!!!!

In last night's game he had 0 goals, 0 assists & 0 shots on goal in under 11 minutes of ice-time. 0 shots on goal!!!!!

Rumours are that he's been so unproductive since his great month of November that coach Paul Maurice is considering sending him to the press box to reflect on his game.

What the hell is wrong with Patrick Laine? This is coming at the worse time of his career since he'll be a restricted free agent once the current season ends.

Yes that's true, he is still stuck at 25 goals. He was right behind Ovechkin at a point but Ovie is now up to 37 goals.

Pens traded Brassard and Sheahan to Panthers for Bjugstad and McCann and three draft picks.....il était devenu évident que les jours de Brassard avec les Pens étaient comptés....pas sûr que cela va relancer les Panthers.....bonne chance avec les draft picks.....
