Now which category does Trudeau fit into, either way giving him the boot seems like a hell of a good idea and long overdue.
It is all good and well to give Junior the boot, he deserves a swift boot to the arse, among other places. He knows he has no replacement within the current cabinet and elected party members.
All his best Ministers left while they still had a relatively untainted name. This includes Jody Wilson Raybould, Jane Philpot, Marc Garneau and Bill Morneau. They were the heir apparent and realized the rot and corruption was so deep that only a fool would want the Liberal leadership after Trudeau is gone. These were smart politicians.
On the other hand, see what happened to Brian Mulroney and the Progressive Conservative Party in the early 1990s. The rot and corruption from the Airbus scandal were sinking the PC ship. Brian Mulroney resigned knowing full well that the heir apparent, Kim Campbell, would bear the brunt of the scandal and the decimation of the PC Party to the dustbin of history.
Kim Campbell was vain. She was interested in bearing the brunt of the scandal and collapse of the PC Party because she wanted to be the first female Prime Minister of Canada. She was, unelected, and governed for a full three months before a general election was called. She was unfit for leadership. Sure she made the rounds in Hollywood on the Tonight Show with David Letterman and elsewhere, where she was touted as the first female PM. That is her achievement, chalk one up for the history books.
I would dare say that the imminent collapse of the Liberal Party under Justin Trudeau's leadership is on the horizon. They face the same fate as the PC Party and if not decimated, will be relegated to the sidelines of power for 10-15 years. The damage they have done is devastating. He will be remembered as the worst PM of all time. It is astounding that he could cling to power for this long.
I cannot understand how anyone could have voted for this juvenile, pompous prick and clown. Good riddance to him and the Liberal Party.
