Separating Trump and his rhetoric from an issue for a moment, there is no public support for illegal immigration or taking in economic "refugees". In fact, this thread has had a few Trump haters say they thought the Democrats immigration policy is absurd.
How did Trump lie about birthright citizenship? Honest question, I don't know what you are referring to. In this modern age, we have visitors both wealthy and poor coming to the U.S. for the sole purpose to birth their child in the U.S. That seems to be an accepted fact.
You can hate him for how he hijacks the news cycle with hyperbole, but it's a strategy that has worked well for him when dealing with a media that is 75-80% hostile to him. I find the whole NY Times thing of counting Trump's lies and defending Obama's lies quite silly. Yes, Trump has lied more than Obama. Does Trump lie about things that upset Republicans? Did Obama lie about more critical matters than Trump? It's all subjective at that point. But, counting lies, seriously?? It's fair to report that the President is not sending 15,000 troops and he's exaggerating, but let us all decide if that's a big problem for us.
Read my lips or in this case my bold print: I don't give a fuck how many people showed up at the inauguration for Obama or Trump. I don't give a fuck about what Trump says is the biggest, the greatest or the most. It's all rather silly stuff to pretend that Trump is the first politician to use hyperbole. I'm more interested in policy and results.
