Why odd? When ppl have something in common, it is also common to meet sometimes. When i first came to merb tho, i felt exactly like you, but then Special K told me he was going to be in town the same time i was and invited me for a drink... i was still not sure i wanted to meet anyone from here at the time so i made up an excuse (sorry K) , but we continued to chat some and the next trip i said, screw it, it is no big deal, i meet ppl everyday in my life, so what, at least i have things in common with him, so i met up with him and a few others from merb the same day, in a casual setting (irish pub) for drinks and food and had a great afternoon sharing stories, both about the hobby and non hobby related stuff as well. I have met others from here also and in fact a couple of guys i consider great friends. People are people, there is good and bad everywhere.
Your stories are so unbelievable as usual DH, did you ever try to apply for any writer position at those magazines usually sold only in sex shops?
Why is it an unbelieveable story? Did you ever hear the phrase "Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction"? If Alex K has the bucks and found appreciation in a reviewer's review, then why not?
The only thing I don't understand in Doc's story is, if Doc did not want to meet Alex, how did Alex find Doc's address and name to send him the letter? Why would Doc give his name and actually mailing address to another hobbyist who he did not want to meet? That part of the story I do not understand.

I'm not sure why you feel this way, but my one of my best friends in Montreal used to meet Alex K whenever he made a trip. Alex loved staying at the Omni often and would call my friend to go out to dinner then usually insist on paying. His SP habits included seeing HDHs for several hours up to over-nighters and weekenders. According to the stories the guy was generous and quite a character. From stories of his hobbying habits and trip frequency he was a lavish spender on his hobby career. So $300, nice...but a mere trifle to Alex. It's the sort of thing he would do just to be generous. I see nothing odd about the story except the idea that he was concerned about expenses at all.
There's nothing wrong with meeting others in the hobby in general. I just had several lunches and dinners with five guys at different times and it was all fun. Still one does have to be careful. The best situation for meeting people in this hobby is with those who have no connection to the area you live in or your personal life. Also, it's wiser not to give out key personal details to any but the very closest you know you can trust, otherwise there could be issues. Some of those who have started out as friends, and gotten close and comfortable with as such, have become antagonists and personal information has been used in threatening or coercive ways. Some of the old board feuds were prime examples. But it's great to sit back and share experiences and laughs with others in a hobby most usually can't or won't risk sharing with those back home.

If you think this story was unbelievable, i have a whole bunch to tell you, including the time a McGill student had written to me (via email) to tell me he was a huge fan of my reviews (can't remember if they were on Canbest or TBD) and needed a favor from me: he wanted me to f### his gf while he watched. Then it makes sense. I was going to say he trusted the SP very much, if he was a frequent customer, she would not risk peeking inside and taking some of the $.
I post for some reasons... one, because I've been victim once of B&S so after that I decided to check any review before getting some new girl, or at least the reviews about the agency, and because I don't want only to get, I also share my experiences.

I think all your posts are right on the money. I cut my teeth on Montreal pussy and I put it up there with the best in the world. Like you guys I love to record my encounters in forums like this. I do go back and read my reviews from time to time. Without them I would forget half of the details of my encounters. This hobby is so surreal. If these things did not happen to me personally I do not think I would believe half of what I write. Reading them also jogs my memory of the things that I haven't written...the smells, the sounds, the sense of touch, the passion, the buzz from the wine, the small talk and laughter in between...learning french phrases and words from French-Canadian girls in their late teens, the showers after, saying goodnight with french kisses, going out to eat after and walking the streets of Montreal bar hopping with an ear-to-ear smile that you couldn't pry off my face with a crow bar and a glow like a firefly. I have had so much fun with this Hobby and this lifestyle that I want to share the details with the rest of the hobby world! You are right Manapart, the hobby is different than the mainstream sterotype. I truely enjoy the company of these woman and I treat them as kindly and as tenderly as I would any non-pro lovers I have ever had. I have made a few friends and pen pals as well. The passion at times has been real or close enough to fool all parties involved. I will see my retired Monte Carlo Termas GF again. We write each other every other week.
Yes, I believe that when you post a few reviews you should be able to start a new thread to ask for help for everything from A-Z. Don't worry, I have been berated by a few veterns. I have never let this discourage me. The love of this hobby is why I participate. Most of the vetern poster are very helpful. A few of the posters that seemed not so nice at the beggining have turned out to be pretty good guys. They have helped provide information by PM's etc. that has maximized my hobbying pleasure.
Lastly, I would say there is a big hobby world out there beyond Montreal. If you love Montreal You will love some of these other places like the FKKs of Germany the Termas and Privy girls of Rio and Brasil, the Carry out bars of Thailand, the Massage parlors of Asia . The world is your pussy! Go out there and stick your dick in it!!!
