I agree.

I think we try proportional representation style voting in the next election.
I like the idea of my vote counting, so I would generally like proportional representation; however, it has many flaws and the flaws alone are enough for me to reconsider.

The first and most important is that a majority government is needed for significant policy changes and transformational change at the federal level.

Have you ever heard of the term' pizza parliament'? With proportional representation, while more democratic, change is extremely difficult because of the fractured, splintered nature of parliament. There is a tendency to stifle and not move forward with change.

Member the time PP voted against a womans right to chose 5 times? I member

I wonder what Merb members would do if the Conservatives had full reigns on womans rights or this particular industry.

Cause it certainly doesn't flow with their values, oh the irony of the votes on this forum
What you should ask yourself is the way the Liberals forced vaccines. I guess my body my choice only applies selectively.

Do you believe in science or do you believe in religion?

Would you be against the ideas of vaccines of children for the spread of measles?

It is not about what you believe in, it is about your right to freedom of choice.
I am on my 8 covid vaccine ( maybe I get a free pizza with the 9) but I would not want government to force me and certainly not to have the curfew hours we had which were a total fucking joke as if Covid plays by a curfew is that science for you lol or government control freaks in action.

This has nothing to do with science or religion. This is about wokeness and ideology. So I ask you again, you Liberals make a big issue of abortions, say that is her body. I agree. But why the double standard when it comes to vaccines Liberals were forcing it on everyone with vaccine passports? What happened to my body my choice? Why not my body my choice for everyone??

FYI: I am an atheist in case you were wondering.

So according to the MERB poll as of this date, Carney has the slightest of leads -25-24 over Polieivier, or 43.1% to 41.4% of the votes cast. Can we count on this MERB poll as being more or less representative of the Canadian population at large?
The short answer is no. MERB community is a skeptical bunch. They normally do not believe in sex trafficking and good government.

I believe the argument would suggest that the difference is that a virus is a danger to public safety, whereas a woman having a baby or not... is not. While I think some of the covid stuff went overboard, would you apply the same line of thinking to a pandemic that really, truly was very serious - that, say, had a mortality rate of... 20-30%? 50%? At what point does one say "yes, everyone should get the vaccine" (particularly if the vaccine is effective) for the good of mankind. Abortions are not a pandemic. So it's not apples to apples.

Yes but it was not 20 to 30%. This is not the Black Plague. And as for abortions, one can say it should not even be a major point when there are so many forms of contraception, I understand that in some cases it is needed. But I never said abortions should be illegal, that could not be further from the truth. I was calling out the OP on his double standard like many other Liberals have. From what I seen, it did not seem like the vaccine was particularly effective, I heard of many cases of triple vaxxed people getting infected with covid. I stopped at two vaccines and had no more plans to get anymore. Covid for the most part had the effect of a flu, most people did okay but a few people did poorly, usually the ones with comorbidities. I read how African countries had a low death rate even though, 4 fold less compared to Europe and North America even though they had very little to no covid mandates and much less access to vaccines. Apparently their population was much younger.
