Get used to this on a nightly basis now that you are in the big (besides mtl) tough (besides mtl) nasty (besides mtl) Eastern Conference.

Welcome to the Jungle, Detroit!

In a weird way, i am glad that happened, we were not gonna win it all last season anyways and like i said then and will say now... It was a learning experience and the young Leafs will be better off having gone thru that, in the long run. Added leadership and playoff experience in Clarkson and Bolland along with stud pedigree in goal wiht fellow Quebec Boy, Jonathan Bernier and the Leafs are better now than that last game, no doubt.

They showed heart coming back from being down 3 games to 1 against the runners up for the cup, thats what they will take moving forward. Sure beats the way Ottawa bitch slapped and pushed the soft montreal team around, who all they added was a guy in Parros that nobody is scared of and a 35 yr old Danny Briere who is the 35 yr old Danny Briere, not the 25 yr old Danny Briere..... opening night is gonna be fuuuuuuuuuuun :D

You'll notice that Datsyuk got up IMMEDIATELY even though Doughty is much tougher than any of the gutless wimps on the stinkin' leafs. The East will be a piece of cake for the Wings.

Great stuff JLB - It NEVER gets old reliving that EPIC COLLAPSE by the leafs.

Great, classic stuff that always brings a smile to my face - and the faces of true hockey fans everywhere - to watch that hilariously cowardly performance as 46 YEARS of failure continued. And it's priceless watching the braindead leaf fans in that clip slowly coming to the realization that their sad sack franchise has found yet another way to blow it!

No wonder the leafs are known far and wide as Canada's National Embarrassment and are considered a huge laughingstock everywhere hockey is played!

Hey I'm glad it happened too: first, it was freakin' HILARIOUS, and second, it made HISTORY as the biggest, most gutless collapse ever in a game 7!

And you're right when you say you weren't "gonna win it all last season" - you're NEVER "gonna win it all"! Hey, for YOUR bunch of losers it was a huge achievement just GETTING to the playoffs for the first time in a decade - of course they couldn't even make it out of the first round. You'll be lucky if you make the playoffs again before ANOTHER decade passes. What a hopeless team!

I never said Datsuk did not get back up, kudos to him, he is not used to playing in a big, tough, and nasty division (minus the scabs) night in night out like he will be this season and from now on so it is no wonder he got back up so quick (not used to physicality against him, but thats gonna change very soon)....good luck! Dec 21 cant come soon enuf :thumb:

Btw, you should of waited and signed Grabo instead of soft and oft injured Stevie Weiss.

Surprise, surprise - NOT! The latest boneheaded move by the leafs is giving Dave Nonis a 5 year extension.

Gotta say though, that as a leaf-hater I love it!

I don't really get what this is about, but I'll bow to your far more extensive knowledge of the Village People and your vast worldwide collection of memorabilia on disco and cowboys. But for the love of God please stop fantasizing about me - stick to your TRUE cowboy (you know who!).

From the Gazette's Jack Todd -

You read it here first: In about five years time, MLSE boss Tim Leiweke, the original bull in a china shop, is going to go down as the worst executive in the history of Canadian team sports. From planning the route for the Leafs Stanley Cup parade to taking down photographs of former Leaf greats (hey, they don’t have that many) to signing Dave Nonis to a five-year extension, Leiweke has set himself up for a spectacular fall

Feeling sad or depressed? Here is the solution to all your problems: read something...ANYTHING....about the Toronto maple leafs and your depression will be cured. You will laugh for DAYS at the stupidities and failures of this joke of a franchise.

Disclaimer: If you are unfortunate enough to be a leaf fan, learn to live with the sadness. For leaf fans, the situation is far from funny and there is no relief in sight!

Congratulations to the Toronto maple leafs on their recent Stanley Cup victory - that is, if you consider 1967 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to be recent! (Rather than an absolutely pathetic and dismal 46 YEARS AGO for this laughingstock of a franchise.)

It's not just that the Leafs haven't won a Cup or been to the finals since 1967, but: The leafs have never won a third round in the playoffs - EVER !!!

The last time the Leafs won a Cup was in a 6 team league when you only needed two rounds !!!

Well said GHG.

And now some trivia questions: 1. How many leafs have won the Art Ross since 1967?
2. How many leafs have won the Hart since 1967?
3. How many leafs have won the Lindsay...EVER?
4. How many leafs have won the Conn Smythe since 1967?
5. How many Stanley Cups will the leafs win in the next hundred years?

If you answered ZERO to each and every question, you are 100% correct!
