Where I belong.
BTW, your statement about how you "help others" in PMs is not only ridiculously self-serving and totally without evidence.
Actually, JC, I'll give you some evidence as Junior regularly fills my PM box with the workings of his imagination. You wouldn't believe some of what the chubby little guy sends my way. It runs the gamut from A ((The agency for which he's no longer allowed to shill) screens its clients carefully.) to Z ("Agency girls fuck me for free 'cause I'm such a nice guy.") I kid you not. (Note that these are transliterations as you probably would have a hard time with the original gibberish.) I'm thinking of collecting them all and publishing them in a book entitled, "Tall Tales from a Short Man."

You can decide for yourself whether or not this rubbish falls into the category of "helping others."

I guess when your favorite team hasn't won dogshit in half a century, the imagination begins to get the best of you.

Rumps, I'm amazed that you question his veracity. Just because he has a severe allergy to the truth is no reason to doubt him. ;) After all, we know all the hot girls go for short habitually disturbing butterballs who are obsessed with free-for-all nonsense.

I see he hasn't changed. It's been bliss putting him on ignore the last two years or so if only to block his manic PM ravings.

Hello everyone,

Some people are getting very close to crossing a line that will end up in a long suspension. If I continue seeing personal insults being posted, you will not enjoy the results. There is a limit to my tolerance.

One post has been deleted. If I have to delete any others, it will be accompanied by a 1 month suspension.

Back to discussing hockey.

Wow, i think the DEAD THINGS should just retire Datysuk as they play better w/o him! Then again Tukka Rask really sucked tonight. On the other hand sooooooooooooooooooo happy to get a point vs the Best Team in All of the NHL, in Pitt tonight, not easy to win there and Bernier once again stole us a point which was huge! GLG!

btw is Jimmy Howard hurt? Why was he not in vs the bruins? I will have to give him a call.........;)

Tough night for the B's against a Datsyuk free Detroit team and they looked good!! B's suffering their first blowout of the season but at least it wasn't a shut out to the lowly CBJ's AT HOME!! Hahahaha. Bernier was fabulous wasn't he? Only giving up a 5 spot and 2 in the S/O! As usual the Leafs were outshot / ouplayed to the tune of a 2-1 margin, stellar!! Hahaha.

Who's the best team in All of the NHL? The same Pitt team that lost to Montreal and BOSTON this week yet completely blew the doors off the Leafs who luckily by the skin of their teeth escaped with 1 point? Hmmm...I'll have to check the standings again....Yep, just as I thought. Tied for 2nd in the East and barely a playoff contender in the West. How that equates to best in the NHL is pretty much how everything is on Planet Iggy, whatever suits his feeble mindedness. Kinda like the way Mr. Cairo continually humors the masses on Merb decimating poor Igster while he and only he sees it as he wins these little skirmishes. Damn, what it must be like to live on Planet Iggy, even for just a day?

Gee, you are antagonistic. Your post has no sense of logic what so ever.
The Detroit RED WINGS won 6 to 1 and with Pavel Datsyuk, it could had been 7 to 1, 8 to 1 or even 9 to 1. That's how I see it.
Retire? There isn't a player on the leafs team that comes even close to his skills and determination as a hockey player, YOUNG or old.
Being out shoot 19 to NOTHING in both the 3rd and OT is something to be proud of, is...... I don't know what to say, really. Oh yes, That ONE POINT. Forgot.
I guess, I would have to be a leafs fan to understand that mediocrity and or failure is the road to success.
Your team is in trouble and you are afraid to address it. Then again, you do address it by saying, Carlyle will put them through a tough practice and they will learn from this loss. It is a loss, by the way.
On another note, Montreal Canadians, Canada's team, won 3 to 1. Shots on goal 31 to 25 for the HABS.

First, congratulations to SK and Ballsamic on their excellent posts. It's nice to see such intelligence from both these posters in this thread.

It is also always nice to see the intelligent posts of others such as Gentle, Rumples, Merlot, Anon Vlad, and even leaf-loving Reverdy. Apologies if I left out any others deserving of praise (I'm thinking, for example, that I might have missed GIGBallday and GHG).

Yeah, maybe you have a point - maybe Detroit should retire the most skilled hockey player in the world!

Then again, on reflection, maybe it's wiser to keep the most skilled hockey player in the world on your roster IF you're fortunate enough to have him.

And maybe, just maybe, your brilliant suggestion indicates: 1) why you are NOT a GM, 2) that maybe, just maybe, you know SQUAT about hockey, and 3) why you are a leaf fan. "Thinking" like yours is what has led to your feeble franchise exhibiting 46 YEARS of complete and utter failure and becoming the laughingstock not just of the NHL, but of the entire world of professional sports.

Wow, i think the DEAD THINGS should just retire Datysuk as they play better w/o him! Then again Tukka Rask really sucked tonight.

"DEAD THINGS"? Are you aware that the "DEAD THINGS" are ahead of the leafs in the standings? Are you aware that the "DEAD THINGS" just beat one of the best teams in the league in a decisive manner? (True, their 6-1 win was not as DOMINATING as the 6-NOTHING beating that the 26th place Blue Jackets inflicted on your woeful and inept maple losers the other night, but a victory over a top-notch squad like the Bruins is still a cause for some satisfaction.)

Are you aware that your sad sack misfits BLEW a 4-1 lead and LOST 6-5? Are you aware that this reminds THE WORLD of the historic and epic collapse by the leafs against the Bs in game 7? True, the COLLAPSE against the Pens was not as dramatic as that game 7 classic laughfest, but it shows that your boys are as hopeless and gutless as ever.

Are you aware that your pathetic maple losers tied an all-time record by having ZERO SHOTS in the third period? We are ALL aware of how hopeless the leafs have been for 46 YEARS, but to get ZERO SHOTS in an entire period is UNBELIEVABLY comical even for the leafs!

And yet, in spite of the above FACTS, you have the balls to call DETROIT "DEAD THINGS". If you want to see "dead things", junior, just look at a team portrait of the freakin' leafs!

On the other hand sooooooooooooooooooo happy to get a point vs the Best Team in All of the NHL, in Pitt tonight, not easy to win there and Bernier once again stole us a point which was huge!

As SK has already explained, Pitt is NOT "the Best Team in All of the NHL", but why would you let FACTS get in the way? You have made it clear in well over 7000 posts that you have no use for FACTS.

So "Tie Game" Bernier "stole...a point", did he? Well, I guess he did...IF you think his .896 save percentage in this game was good, and IF you think allowing "only" 2 goals on 3 shootout shots was good.

In fairness to Bernier and Reimer, however, it IS true that they HAVE stolen MANY points this season, as - until recently - both played WAY beyond their actual skill levels. That was needed, because the leafs have been badly outshot and badly outplayed in just about every game this season. As I've been saying since day one, as soon as Reimer and "Tie Game" go back to their ACTUAL skill levels, the leafs will be toast - and NOW it is taking place. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of stiffs!

By the way, speaking of being badly outshot and badly outplayed, the leafs "only" lost 6-5 because Fleury was not exactly the second coming of Dominik Hasek - he let in 3 goals on 11 shots before being pulled. The Pens outshot the woeful leafs by a WHOPPING 48-24...yet another embarrassment for hogtown's biggest losers. And - it bears repeating, because it's SO funny: the stinkin' leafs actually had ZERO SHOTS in the third period!!!!!!Hilarious!

Yet (undoubtedly after drinking GALLONS of Koolaid), you are thrilled that your collection of misfits picked up a point. HILARIOUS again! Then again, I guess if a team as bad as the leafs loses by a closer score than 6-0 it's considered a giant achievement!

btw is Jimmy Howard hurt? Why was he not in vs the bruins? I will have to give him a call.........;)

No, your favorite non-leaf player is not hurt, but he's been struggling lately while EX-LEAF "the Monster" (formerly known as "the Monstrosity" during his leaf days, obviously the low point of the poor guy's life) has been dynamite. The Monster is now 6-1 and had a .941 save percentage against the Bs.

When Detroit picked up the Monster, I questioned the move: why would any team want someone who had been corrupted by the leaf culture of failure? Yet I retained some optimism, figuring that if the great Kenny Holland wanted the Monster, there had to be a good reason. Needless to say, the 2nd best GM of all time is again showing just how smart he is! Of course, the fact that he has a great coaching staff led by Doctor Mike Babcock certainly hasn't hurt, as that staff has been able to restore the confidence that the leafs had destroyed in hogtown and has also been able to undo many of the bad habits that the Monster picked up in hogtown playing on a team of losers with a VERY questionable coaching staff (the SAME coaching staff that totally misused the talents of Mikhail Grabovski, for starters).

PS: I don't think Jimmy wants you to call him. People in the public eye do not usually appreciate stalkers.

Glad you're happy. I thought you might have been UNhappy, considering that the leafs lost (in yet another hopeless, miserable, humiliating showing), the Wings won, and the Habs won. After all, you spend most of your time bragging about the leafs and insulting the Wings and Habs. Then again, after 46 YEARS of complete and utter failure, you're obviously very accustomed to losing - maybe it only hurts the first few thousand times and after that you're so used to it that it's painless.

Agreed, nobody plays well every game and all good teams have a few stinkers in 82. The boys are gonna pay in practice tomorrow but am sure a much better effort will be there in Pitt on Wed night. And i bet you Bernier is in goal.

You made the post above in reference to the humiliating 6-0 blowout you suffered against the 26th place Blue Jackets a couple of nights ago.

Congratulations on your accurate prediction about "Tie Game" Bernier! Different goalie, same result: another JOKE of a game from Toronto - unless, that is, that you think blowing a 4-1 lead and having ZERO SHOTS (!!!!!!!) in the entire third period means that there was, as you ALSO predicted, "a much better effort...in Pitt on Wed (sic) night"

Wow, you really are fukked! lol..........please continue! Bwhahahahaahahaha..............

Is that all you've got? Your repartee is about successful as the play of your favorite team. Apart from being the absolute KING of "bwahaha", you bring NOTHING to the table. Oh, and if you're going to swear and toss insults, maybe you should try spelling them correctly. Clue: the word is not "fukked" (sic).

Now for your HOCKEY lesson of the day. (You know what HOCKEY is, don't you? It's that thing you never bother to write about in the HOCKEY threads.) The Vezina Trophy is an annual award given to the NHL goaltender who is considered by all the GMs to be the best in the league. The last time it was won by a toronto maple leaf was in....wait for it...drum roll, please...1965! That's right: 48 YEARS AGO, which is even further back than the recent leaf "hot streak" of 46 YEARS of complete and utter failure. The winner (s) in 1965: the tandem of Hall of Famers Terry Sawchuk and Johnny Bower. But this HOCKEY lesson is probably of no interest to you, for the simple reason that it's about HOCKEY and not about "bwahaha".

Sorry for repeating myself, but is that REALLY all you've got? Talk about LAME! And, as usual from you, NOTHING about HOCKEY.

Here's some more free HOCKEY info for you. Let's look at a few teams and list their obvious superstars.

Detroit: Datsyuk, Zetterberg
Boston: Chara, Bergeron, Rask
Pittsburgh: Crosby, Malkin
Tampa Bay: St. Louis, Stamkos
Chicago: Toews, Kane, Hossa
Anaheim: Getzlaff, Perry
Washington: Ovi, Backstrom

It's getting late, so I won't do all 30 teams, but since you're a leaf fan, I will do you the favor of listing the obvious superstars there also.

Toronto: NO ONE

Are you aware that the Leafs have one game in hand over the Wings? Are you aware that the Wings are just one point ahead of the Leafs in the standings? Not exactly what I would call a scintillating performance so far from the "legendary" Wings. Even the Bruins are easily within striking distance. You can all hate the Leafs all you want, but this is a lot tighter race than you and the others are portraying it to be.

You obviously don't know or understand what an honoris causa degree is. It's an honorary degree; not a doctorate "earned" through academic work. Do you know who else has earned a Doctorate honoris causa? Former Leafs coach and GM, Pat Quinn. Better yet, former Leafs president, Ken Dryden has nine of them! In other words, the Leafs are crushing the Wings in wisdom! :thumb:

Yeah, we get it: the Leafs haven't won the cup in 46 years. All déjà-vu. We've seen the same posts over and over, and over, and over, and over, and ....from you; always the same thing. A real broken record.

To your credit Rev you at least talk about HOCKEY and you at least insert some facts, logic, and intelligence. Well done as usual - and without even a single "bwahaha".

As for Doctor Babcock, of course it's an honorary degree, but by that very definition it is (quite obviously!) still an honor! And that honor is worth pointing out to people like Doc and ig who frequently waste bandwidth insulting one of the league's best and most successful coaches. As for Ken Dryden, he may have been a leaf exec during the team's 46 YEARS of failure (sorry for the repetition, but it's just so much fun to say it!), but I think he's in the Hall of Fame for his work with the HABS, not the leafs, and I think any honors he has won are due to his HABS successes, his political efforts, his writing ("The Game"), and a myriad of other things TOTALLY unconnected to his FAILURES with the leafs.

Yes, the Wings are only a point ahead of the leafs at the moment and the leafs have a game in hand - can't argue. But 1) a game in hand is only useful if that game later turns into a win, 2)in the ongoing sparring match here, you know as well as I that the next time the leafs win and/or the Wings lose, there will be braying and bwa-ha-ha-ing from the other side, so I'm just adhering to the rules of the game in this particular thread, and 3) the MAIN thing is that your buddy ig seems to think that the term "dead things" is the greatest, most creative, and most accurate saying of all time...so it's important to CONTINUALLY remind him of how fatuous it is to keep repeating it. You see, even if the Wings are "only" one point ahead of the leafs, it sure as HELL doesn't say much for Toronto if they are "only" one point behind "DEAD things", does it?

Wow, where did you get that pic of Mrs. C , Reverdy? Priceless! HAHA! (but where is his homer dead thing sippy cup and rattle?) So so true! Merci for the  and gnite! :thumb:

"Mrs. C." ? Take a quick look in the mirror ig, because I think you're again exposing your sexual confusion. Maybe you should try to cover it up.

Oh, and by the way, I'm still waiting for some HOCKEY talk from you, if you can put aside your fantasies for a minute or two.

PS: "Dead things" is neither original, nor witty, nor correct. In case you're unaware, the Wings have been in the playoffs for 22 consecutive years and this season they are also currently ahead of the leafs - who have made the playoffs only once in the past decade. The Wings have 4 Cups and 2 other finals in the last decade and a half, while the leafs have FAILED to make it to the finals in 46 YEARS (sorry Rev!). Which of those teams looks more like a corpse? Sorry, I realize that might be a tough question for you. After all, I guess someone who can't tell a man from a woman might also have difficulty telling a living team from a dead one.
