Speaking of cowboys:

I guess this means ig's bedroom wall will soon be covered with posters of Charlie Brown. Here's hoping Phil Kessel and John Wayne don't get jealous.

Man, i haven't laughed so hard in years!!!

Poor guy!

Here's a suggestion: Whenever I need a good laugh, I just play my tape of the last 10 or 15 minutes of the EPIC LEAF COLLAPSE against the Bruins in game 7. Before long, I'm exploding in laughter. Sorry Mr. Jerry Seinfeld, Mr. Steve Martin, Mr. Larry David, Mr. George Carlin (R.I.P.), and all you other giants of comedy, but there is NOTHING as funny as watching the leafs self-destruct in their most classic, cowardly, and absolutely HILARIOUS fashion!

Try it Doc and you'll never again have the misfortune of going without laughter.

Datsyuk out with concussion

JC's favorite hockey player is out with a concussion. He won't play in their next game against the Sabres. His future status is currently undetermined.

Sorry JC.

Yes, it's a great loss for the entire sport of hockey when the true giants of the game (Stamkos, Pav, Ovi, plus Sid in the past) are sidelined.

Pav's concussion came about because of a Kadri-like cheap shot elbow from Jared Cowen. There's no place in hockey for sneaky COWards like COWen and "COWdri".

As for me, i replay the final 5 minutes of the last game between Boston & Chicago in last season's Stanley Cup finals. Priceless! :thumb:

This guy must be made of glass, as the video in your link looks like Cowen barely touched him.

Oh, are you talking about Joffrey Lupul? The rest of us were discussing Pavel Datsyuk.

BTW, given your comment about the video, you might STRONGLY consider getting a new pair of glasses.

No, clearly it was Pavel "made of glass" Datysuk in the video. If you think it was Lupul dressed in those horrible red and white jerseys then you may want to invest in the new pair of glasses you speak of.

Datysuk looked a little dazed but likely just for effect to try to get a call on the play from the refs, but since it was a good clean hockey hit (refs and "shanny" all agree) there was nothing to call.

Go blue jackets go!!!!
Now, as you likely know, I'm don't follow hockey closely so I really only know, by osmosis, a little more about the game than, say, iggy, but I can only guess that the Columbus Blue Jackets must be a really, really good team to put such a total beatdown on the Maple Leafs tonight on Toronto ice.

Here's hoping they fare a little better next time out against the Buzzard's Bay Brown Jerseys.

Hey BOYZZZ!

Was that Blue Jackets 6 Leafs 0 a real game, or did Columbus just setup some cardboard dummies to skate around for practice...if you can tell the difference. At least we won't have to hear from Pete (Iggy), Repeat (Doc), and Ad Naseum (Rev).

Funny thing how the Toronto Star assessed the Blue Jackets before the game:

Weary Blue Jackets set to face Leafs

http://www.thestar.com/sports/leafs/2013/11/25/weary_blue_jackets_set_to_face_leafs.html

The Blue Jackets are a little weary as they complete a five-game road trip against the Maple Leafs tonight at the Air Canada Centre.

The Blue Jackets, mired in 13th place in the Eastern Conference with an 8-12-3 record, had victories against the Ottawa Senators and Calgary Flames, but suffered blowout losses7-0 to the Edmonton Oilers last Tuesday and 6-2 to the Vancouver Canucks on Friday.

They began the road trip last Sunday with a 4-1 victory over the Senators, were pummelled by the Oilers, nosed out the Calgary Flames 2-1 and then fell to the Canucks.

Against the Canucks on Friday, Matt Calvert opened the scoring, but the Blue Jackets surrerended the next five goals in the 6-2 defeat. They were outshot 35-16.

The Blue Jackets are both tired and fighting the injury bug, with Marian Gaborik (knee), Dalton Prout (back) and Nathan Horton (shoulder) out of the lineup.

Calvert, 23, a native of Brandon, Man., who is playing in his fourth season with Columbus, is looking forward to giving the Blue Jackets a chance to finish their road trip on an upswing.

continued...

So let's get this straight. The same team that is tired...with several injuries...in 13th place in the East...and has been getting blasted by other teams just WRECKED the Leafs. Maaaaan, that's HUMILIATING and HILARIOUS!

oooooooohh Iggy, Doc, Rev...yohooo.

Here's hoping they fare a little better next time out against the Buzzard's Bay Brown Jerseys.
By coincidence I have family in a nice little town of that name just on the northwest corner of the Cape Cod Canal near the Bourne Bridge. Yup, they would have definitely kicked Leaf ass tonight.

BTW: the Bruins defeated the top notch Penguins to stay in 1st place in the East. GOBRUINSGO!!! :thumb:

Cheers,

As it happened, Buzzards Bay Brown Jerseys just happened to be the first BBBJ that came to mind. :thumb:

Agreed, nobody plays well every game and all good teams have a few stinkers in 82. The boys are gonna pay in practice tomorrow but am sure a much better effort will be there in Pitt on Wed night. And i bet you Bernier is in goal.
Just got back from work, and watched the replays. I am sure that Iggy and Doc are just as disappointed as I am by how they played. There is no sugar-coating it, the boys were pretty dismal. I am sure they got and they'll be getting an earful from Randy Carlyle after this one, and deservedly so.

A good kick in the butt ahead of their game against the Pens!

Yes, the Jackets are an excellent team. (You'll see just HOW excellent later in this post.) Do you think just ANY team could totally ANNIHILATE the toronto maple losers? Wait - scratch that last sentence, because come to think of it, BUFFALO recently beat the maple losers, and BUFFALO was the last-place team in the entire NHL going into the game where they beat the maple losers.

Thus, the maple losers might actually be getting BETTER. Sure, they got their asses whipped in a HUMILIATING way, but hey - they didn't lose to a LAST-place team tonight: Columbus was WAY UP in the standings (at 26th out of 30 teams, ha ha ha) going into tonight's game.

Moral of the story: the leafs are as crappy as ever! GREAT to see them destroyed again!
