Which means that, thanks to your Red Wings being beaten by Pittsburgh (has Monster lost his touch??), the two teams are still only 2 points apart.

Yes:

Boston 46 (and playing now = possibly 48)
Montreal 43
Detroit, Tampa Bay 39 each

Toronto 37

Monster now 8-2-2.

Detroit is a very bad team....extremely over-achieving. The only guy with courage got knocked out for a couple of months last night. Abdelkader. His great-grandfather served under Hitler. Anyways, he'll be out for a while and that useless european team will miss his presence dearly!

Even though the Leafs have had a terrible month of November, i just noticed that they trail the team from crappytown by only 2 points. Two points!!

I believe that they're funk is now over, considering how great they've played in 2 of their last 3 games. The St-Louis game is a wash since they landed in St-Louis at 5am after playing the Kings a day earlier, and likely didn't go to sleep until 7 am or so. When Carlyle alluded to the fact that his team played like it was 'brain dead', he was partially correct considering how exhausted the players must have been. They played a terrible first period that night, but played much better in the next two periods. There was even a point late in the game where i wondered if they wouldn't pull a comeback.

The Leafs still miss Bozak and Bolland dearly, but Bozak should be back after the hollidays. Bolland will likely be back in February.

I also believe that Carlyle has finally realized that the Leafs are better with having JML in the lineup over Paul Ranger. Mark Fraser is decent and his value increases when playing against bigger and tougher teams. However, he doesn't have good mobility and doesn't have good hands, which is the strenght of Morgan Rielly, whom i now believe will remain with the team instead of being loaned to Team Canada at the world junior championships.

And in your sexually-confused "mind", teams AHEAD of you in the standings are weak. Where's the logic, junior? Sorry, I forgot: you don't even know the meaning of the word "logic". I guess they never use that word in your cowboy fantasies and it's probably also not on your Phil Kessel, Jimmy Howard, or John Wayne posters.

BTW, congrats on beating Chicago's third and fourth string goalies for only your third regulation win in the last 20 games and congrats on climbing all the way up to a 3-5-2 record in your last 10 games. Ask someone who KNOWS something about hockey (hint: it's probably better not to consider your many disco-loving "friends" as hockey experts) if that's good (second hint: it's not - in fact it sucks, just like your joke of a team).

No hard feelings - go play some of your Village People CDs and I'm sure you'll cheer up and forget all about how crappy the leafs are.

Congratulations to the leafs! By beating Chicago's farm team goalies the leafs have now "only" LOST 8 OF THEIR LAST 11 GAMES. Nothing on Earth has a smell as putrid as this wretched and rotting embarrassment to hockey.

JC always being his sarcastic, negative self again!

Crawford is injured, so he couldn't play. On top of that, he's not that highly regarded around the NHL. He's lucky to be on a packed team and would be a 2nd string goalie on most of the other teams around the league. Heck, he won't even get a sniff for Team Canada, who'll prefer the likes of Price, Luongo and Fleury ahead of this bum!

It's Chicago's fault for not upgrading their goaltending during the off-season, like many other teams did. Now their 2nd stringer will be some bum named Lebarbara, whom they acquired from the lowly Edmonton Oilers. He's also terrible!

That's what happens when you give all your cap money to superstars like Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa, Duncan Keith, Patrick Sharpe and Brent Seabrook. You have nothing left for goaltending!

p.s. Name the only team to lose twice to the Florida Panthers this season.

Former Ranger draft pick..highly regarded as our future

In 2003, was 34-9 in the minors ( Hartford )

In 2004 ( strike season ), he was 31-16 in Hartford

He elected to leave us ..we didn't know what to do..

Then Jesus sent us an unknown named Henrik Lundquist

Thanks for leaving Jason !! :cheer2:

Best Regards

Leafs and Dead Things 24/7 tonight, Boyz and Girls!

The leafs SUCK 24/7 and have done so for 46 YEARS. Not only is this joke of a team the biggest piece of crap in the NHL, but they prove over and over again that they have no guts and no class.

Talk about CONTRAST: The great, victorious Red Wings with their tradition of WINNING (4 Cups plus 2 Finals in the last decade and a half, multiple individual award winners, multiple Hall of Famers, best owner in the NHL, top-notch coach who of course was an automatic pick to hold the reins for Team Canada, best scouting, second best GM of all time, and nothing but CLASS, CLASS, CLASS).

Then, you have the exact opposite: the hopeless, pathetic maple losers with their tradition of FAILURE and HUMILIATION: not even a SINGLE Finals appearance in 46 YEARS of complete and utter failure, one lonely playoff appearance in the last DECADE which resulted in a cowardly loss with the most EPIC COLLAPSE in the HISTORY of Stanley Cup game sevens, virtually no individual achievements in the last HALF-CENTURY except for Little Dougie Gilmour in 1993 and Little Dave Keon in 1967, Harold Ballard and others comprising the worst ownership in professional sports, a history of weak and inept GMs and coaches INCLUDING the previous and present ones, pitiful drafts, laughable trades, and cowardly rulebreakers constantly being suspended. Let's not forget the braindead sexually confused fans (maybe not all, but at least ONE that all MERBites are aware of) who pay the highest prices in the NHL for the most inferior product there is, as the owners laugh all the way to the bank. Let's also not forget the infamous maple leaf garden sex scandals. Let's ALSO not forget that the half-witted fans predict victory every year - including this one - only to see their crapola bunch of unskilled cowards FOLD like a cheap accordion every single year...including this one!. And the REALLY funny thing is : these bozos NEVER learn.

I guess by "crappytown" you mean HOCKEYTOWN, as it is universally known for very good reason (as opposed to the ALSO appropriately-named hogtown, which of course is the universal nickname for that pissy place toronto). At least I must give you credit for being more original and creative than that illiterate little guy who idolizes you and follows you around like an adoring little sheepdog (although that`s not a huge compliment, since I`ve seen peanut butter that has more original thoughts than your little starry-eyed hero-worshipper).

The KEY part of your post, of course, is that the maple losers do, in fact, TRAIL Detroit.

Yes, by all means plan the parade! After all, the leafs are on a HUGE one-game winning streak after beating Chicago`s third and fourth string goalies. Not only that, but the leafs have now recorded THREE regulation wins in their last TWENTY games, so I guess NO ONE will be able to touch them in the playoffs. Their 3-5-2 record in the last 10 is SURELY a sign of greatness! And they`ve ONLY lost 8 of their last 11! By gosh, we MUST be talking about a squad the equivalent of the early 80s Islanders, the mid 80s Oilers, the Wings of the 90s and oughts, the Habs of the late 50s and late 70s!

OR.........

You know Doc, maybe - just maybe - PRESCRIPTIONS should be required for that KOOLAID that you and the little guy drink...because it is obviously hallucinogenic!

Once again: EXCUSES ARE FOR LOSERS. I guess that`s why the leafs and their fans are the ONLY team out of the 30 in the NHL that keeps using them.

Boo hoo hoo - the leafs were tired - poor babies. Yeah Doc, I guess they`re the only team that ever has back-to-back games. What a loser`s mentality! What absolute horseshit!

He wasn`t partially correct, he was entirely correct. And he wasn`t referring to ONE game, but to the SEASON. His quote: Our hockey club looked like we were brain-dead in a lot of areas. I don`t know any other way to describe it. Our concern has been high for a while now.

Glad to : it's the Detroit Red Wings.

And now, a trivia question for you: Name the only team to lose twice to the LAST-PLACE BUFFALO SABRES this season, including a SIX-NOTHING whitewash by the LAST PLACE BUFFALO SABRES.

JC always being his sarcastic, negative self again!

Not at all - just doing my JOB of posting FACTS to counter the total bullshit that you and the little guy put here on a regular basis.

If all leaf fans were as honest and knowledgeable as Reverdy, there would be no need for me to expose leafloving bullshit. Sadly however, of the 3 leaf fans on this board, it is ONLY Reverdy who is honest, willing to acknowledge the truth, and (usually) respectful. Thus, my JOB is NECESSARY. Besides, my many fans LOVE it!
