Thanks for the clarification...I hadn't looked at who their wins were against but they still look pretty good this season. Budaj has been serviceable in his starts though.

In the last two he has for sure, not so much before that but he is a quality backup and in a good defensive system that the habs play he would be ok for short term if Price ever went down for a week or 2.
The one thing with the habs is they for once in the last few years have not had any major injuries. They do not have much depth so if their key guys stay healthy, they should make the playoffs.

Yup, good coach, he will find work again no doubt. Rumor has it one team has asked the Leafs for permission to talk to Brian Burke.... could Darcy R be next to get canned in Buffalo?... Imagine the media if BB did end up in Buffalo with those 2 cities so close to each other and the hatred by each fan base for the other.
Looks like that rumor i spoke of above was the Anaheim Ducks as Brian Burke is heading back to them as a part time scout.

Even though a legendary goalie already, Brodeur is fortunate that he played in a New Jersey Devil DEFENSIVE SYSTEM for his entire career. Not taking anything away from Brodeur, but that system tends to make any average goalie look much better than he actually is. An above-average goalie looks great in that system.
Back on the west side of Canada the Oilers are looking at making it 4 years for a first round draft pick. Looks like Toronto & Montreal are both playing well.
The fun part with Habs is not so much where they are now and how they will finish it... it's the fact everyone said they'd be in the gutter all year long !

Watching the Habs/ Leafs stream tonight and it sure looked like the Habs were playing at the Bell Centre! Think they had more fans there than the Leafs. Awful game for Toronto for sure!!
Yep, with 4 games in hand over Boston.
It's ridiculous how little the Bruins have played so far this year. I don't think they have more than one day off in a row once we get to April. That's a hell of a way to end the season because they're gonna be tired when the playoffs start.
The Habs are impressive this year in the way they rebound from loses. They're finally playing for the entire game also for a change instead of falling apart in the 3rd period like they were doing the last couple of years. The standings are incredibly tight so far with only 5 points separating 1st and 7th place and the Southeast division is totally up for grabs. But chances are that only the 1st place team in that division will make the playoffs.
Any guesses as to how far Chicago can go before they lose a game in regulation? Can they make it 20 tomorrow or will Halak take them down?
The Florida Panthers have announced that goalie Jose Theodore is out with a torn groin muscle. His season is likely over.
And Cam Ward of the Canes just went out after a collision with Eric Staal...... Luongo to FL or Carolina???
