And Cam Ward of the Canes just went out after a collision with Eric Staal...... Luongo to FL or Carolina???
Doubt it. Luongo would never agree to be traded to Carolina, and i doubt Carolina would even want to take on such a monstruous contract. As for Florida, Luongo would agree to go there next season, but not this season since they'll likely finish close to last place. Same reason why Florida wouldn't want him this season, nor will they want to take on such a monstruous contract.

Ironic, Leafs winning makes me limp :( but that doesn't affect my abilities :p

You can get limp??

The habs winning also makes me limp, but thank god i still have my mouth. :eyebrows:

On another note, the Leafs are now tied with the Habs (14 wins each) and only 3 teams in the entire NHL have more wins than they do! Not too shabby!! Go Leafs Go!! :D

Yes Sir the Leafs, Bruins, and Canadiens (the three teams most represented in here) are all doing well. As a true hockey fan, i want the habs and Leafs to have a playoff series, the atmosphere at both barns would be out of this world.

With Matt Frattin likely back tomorrow night against Ottawa, and Joffery Lupul a couple weeks away, i see a trade coming and that likely will mean a dman leaving, namely John-Michael Liles or Mike Komiserak. They also have to make room for Jake Gardiners return. Wow, that is like getting 3 studs at the trade deadline, Frattin and Lupul are ppg players and Gardiner is one of the best young PMD in the league. If everyone else stays healthy, this team is dangerous as it stands. Lets give credit where it us due, Merci Burke/Nonis.... and a real thanks to Randy Carlyle and his coaching staff.

That was dubbed into the video. Jack used that call on another Montreal player and the video creator planted it in this vid. Also, Jon Stewart's video's are completely dubbed/photoshopped.

This is the real video of Jack Edwards "GET UP!" call on Hamrlik. 25 second mark.

Hey Real Hockey Fans,

That's right. Bruins 4 leafs 2. There's nothing like having the Leafs visit to receive their usual ass-kicking from the Bruins. This makes it 8 straight going back to April 2011, yes, that's 23 months when the leafs have not been able to beat the Bostonians. The Toronto Maple leafs, hockey's cure for a losing streak

http://bigbadblog.weei.com/sports/b...07/bruins-beat-maple-leafs-to-snap-mini-skid/

The Bruins stopped their two-game skid Thursday night with a 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs at TD Garden.

The B’s got goals from Patrice Bergeron, Tyler Seguin (one even strength and one empty netter) and David Krejci to improve their record to 15-3-3. With 33 points through 21 games, the B’s temporarily jumped to the top of the Eastern Conference, though the Canadiens (32 points) were leading the Hurricanes as Boston’s contest wound down.

Here’s what went right and wrong for the B’s in the win.:

WHAT WENT RIGHT FOR THE BRUINS

- Bergeron and his line remain hot, as No. 37′s multi-point night means he now has 14 points over his last nine contests. Seguin made a heads up play in picking off a pass at the blue line in the final minute of the period and racing to the net. With Dion Phaneuf hot on his trail, Seguin was denied by Scrivens before the trailing Bergeron buried the rebound for his sixth goal of the season. In assisting both of Seguin’s goals, Bergeron made it four goals and 10 assists over his last nine games.

- You can’t mention the Bergeron line without mentioning Brad Marchand, who leads the team in goals but has been piling up assists of late. After notching only one helper over his first 12 games of the season, Marchand now has seven assists over the last eight contests. As for Seguin, he has 16 points in 15 career games against the Maple Leafs.

- Khudobin had a strong night for the B’s, frustrating Phil Kessel in particular. Boston’s backup netminder made a great kick-save early on against Kessel and stopped him on the rebound as well. Later in the period, with the B’s shorthanded, Khudobin came across in time to get a leg on Kessel’s bid after Kessel tried to tap in a puck that had bounced off the end boards and in front following a shot from the point. Kessel was kept off the scoresheet Thursday and had a minus-1 rating.

Cheers,

Merlot

Ah well !

Habs won, Bruins won, Pens won... I'm happy !
I was betting on those 3 tonight.

The fun part this year is that I'm making a lot of $$$$ while never watching a freakin' game.
Shit que ca m'demange en es... par exemple !

The other fun part is to see all those 'soit disant experts' have been owned big time with the results so far.
Specially for Habs.

GO HABS GO !

Ducks re-sign Getzlaf to big 8-year contract

The Anaheim Ducks have re-signed captain Ryan Getzlaf to an eight-year contract.

The deal is worth $66 million for an average of $8.25 million per season, league sources told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun.

The Ducks announced the deal Friday with Getzlaf, the former Canadian Olympic center who has spent his entire NHL career with Anaheim. His new contract runs through the 2020-21 season.

Getzlaf would have been an unrestricted free agent this summer along with Corey Perry, the former NHL MVP and his longtime teammate. Perry remains signed to his current deal.

Getzlaf, 27, has scored 499 points in 534 games with Anaheim, establishing himself as one of the NHL's top playmakers. He won the Stanley Cup in 2007 and became Anaheim's captain in 2010.

"This is a wonderful day for my family, as Anaheim has become our home," said Getzlaf, a native of Saskatchewan. "The fans here have treated me very well, and I look forward to being part of a winning hockey team and contributing to the Orange County community for years to come."

After struggling last year to his lowest-scoring performance in a full NHL season, Getzlaf is in the midst of an outstanding season for the Ducks (16-3-3), who have the NHL's second-best record behind Chicago.

Getzlaf has nine goals and 18 assists with a plus-10 rating in just 22 games this season, tying with Chicago's Patrick Kane for the Western Conference scoring lead.

Perry has seemed more interested than Getzlaf in exploring free agency. The gold-medal-winning Canadian Olympians have spent their entire careers with Anaheim, which drafted them together in the first round in 2003.

Ducks general manager Bob Murray has been eager to re-sign both Getzlaf and Perry, even though Anaheim has won just one playoff round in the five seasons since the franchise's only Stanley Cup title. After several years of slow starts, the duo have justified Murray's faith in them this season with strong play, leading the Ducks to a significant lead in the Pacific Division near the midway point of the lockout-shortened season.

"We are very happy to have Ryan committed to this franchise long-term," Murray said. "He has often expressed his interest to stay in Anaheim for his entire career, a goal we share. He is a leader, a proven winner, and possesses a skill set that's hard to find. This is a great day for the Ducks."

Ducks sign Corey Perry to 8-year extension

ANAHEIM, CALIF.—The Anaheim Ducks have locked up another forward with a long-term extension.

Corey Perry has agreed to an eight-year contract extension worth a reported $8.625 (U.S.) million per year.

“Staying in Anaheim has always been my first choice,” said Perry. “This is a great place to play, and I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to remain here.”

The announcement — made Monday while the Ducks were taking on the San Jose Sharks at home — comes just over a week after Anaheim signed captain Ryan Getzlaf to an eight-year, $66-million extensioncaptain Ryan Getzlaf to an eight-year, $66-million extension.

“We are excited that Corey has committed to us for the next eight years,” said Ducks GM Bob Murray. “Similar to the case with Ryan Getzlaf, Corey wanted to stay in Anaheim and be part of our organization long term. He is an exceptional player who competes with heart and soul and has won at every level.

The 27-year-old Perry scored 50 goals in the 2010-11 season to win the Hart Trophy and the Maurice (Rocket) Richard Trophy as the league’s top goal-scorer. He has nine goals and 24 points in 25 games this season — his eighth with the club, which drafted him in the first round (28th overall) in 2003. The three-time all-star won a Stanley Cup with Anaheim in 2007.

Great deal by the Ducks! One of the team's cornerstone players gets to remain with the team & no more talk about him bolting for unrestricted free agency once the season ends, which had become a distraction around the team.
