For me a poutine with all type of trimmings and toppings, such as the ones from like La Banquise or La Poule Mouillée (just to name a few), is not a poutine. Nothing wrong, on the contrary, can be very delicious. but I just love a classique poutine. In my books it’s the one from La Belle Province (called something else now) on St-Jacques street in NDG. Maybe it’s the association I made with that place and my hobbying days.
I can’t remember the countless times I would go there after one of my many encounters with the ladies at the infamous, Le Chablis, now called Le Chabrol, on St-Jacques. I would remember after a wild hour or two with some of my favourites. I would be drained and hungry. What would I see on my way out the driveway of the Le Chablis, La Belle Province. Once after a meeting, who did I bump into at this place, the escort I had just been with a few minutes ago. We smiled and she told me: « salut! ». Guess what she had ordered… a pogo! She was sucking my dick a few moments ago and she wanted some more! Lol.
Of course, I ended up ordering my poutine!

Greenspot is okay, but I remember AA across the street had better poutine when I lived in St-Henri. (I was usually not sober when I went so who knows) I still like Chez Claudette's poutine a lot, although I haven't been there in a while.

I think Greenspot is still the best spot for a poutine! It's not BBQ sauce, more like a beef sauce which is better and the potatoes are brown and fresh, not frozen. My type!

What bbq sauce? for their poutines? you mean their gravy? Very deep dark beef based gravy. potatoes are very earthy... like chalet bbq's... i wouldnt be surprised if their oil has a certain portion of beef fat in it.

- Dilallo Burger on Allard used to be amazing… the one on Notre Dame was by far the best (but they shut down during the pandemic) now they (the one on Allard) hold back on the cheese like a frightened turtle…

Green spot has 2 types of gravy. A brown gravy (default for poutines there) and a BBQ sauce (which you can request).

oh yea, Dillalo's poutine is pretty good too. but i never had it sober lol
