STN, it doesn't matter how the fires started, because that doesn't change. But the temperature in Australia is 42-43 degrees C; once these fires start, the firefighter can no longer control them. The size and carnage of this year's fires are shockingly unprecedented

You changed this post. Initially you asked me to show you the evidence that the current global warming is just part of the usual cycle established by the last 3 ice ages. You specifically requested evidence. So I searched and found that superb summary article in Post #365 titled "How We Know Today's Climate Change Is Not Natural" (Renee Cho, Earth Institute, Columbia University. It provided charts and graphs and clear eyed scientific research outlining the various lines of evidence leading 97-98% of scientists to conclude that climate change is human induced. When I returned to Merb the next day, you had changed your post, but I thought this article still relevant to your request.

The scientific evidence is that the ice ages have rapidly changed.
I am not and have never denied climate change and have said this many times.... We all know that if every human on earth died the climate would still change, do we not...
Also find it weird that you think I do not agree the climate is changing when I stated so many times I do yet you give me stuff to read. Comprehension.....

You obviously did not read Cho's article that shows the current global warming is far more rapid than that of the ice ages, so your statement is false. Many climate change deniers, now faced with the overwhelming evidence around them of global warming realize they look foolish as the earth experiences increasingly frequent examples of catastrophe (wild fires, coral reefs dying, horrific weather extremes, water shortages, melting glaciers, etc. So now many like you decide to stubbornly ignore the science and hide behind the "okay it's obviously getting warmer, but you can't prove it's mankind that's responsible." So analogous to Republican Senators who first claimed Trump's impeachment was a witch hunt based on lies, but when faced with overwhelming evidence from so many of Trump's staff, associates, intelligence officials, and diplomats....they now say okay Trump was wrong, but it's not bad enough to impeach. In both cases, you guys keep moving the goal posts in order to achieve the desired effect of denial. So I lump STN in with the climate change deniers because you are cut from the same cloth on the same issue, and would be happy to entertain your suggestions for a new name you can fly under.

Just recently I quoted -- with respectful admiration -- quite a few of your posts. Or perhaps consider this one, among the more recent portion:

I bet no scientist currently alive would be brave enough to dispute this highly scientific argument.

The first article you cite says nothing about global ice levels, as you implied. Instead it says a single glacier in Greenland is growing the past 2 years, after retreating in earlier years.

The reporter's point is that human chemical pollution is also a factor in killing the coral reefs, in addition to climate change. ^^^^ I read the articles, I did not intend the Greenland article to show the global increase just that Greenland ( Northern part of earth ) has seen ice improvements. Second part about the coral reefs, yes I did read it... the point was to show it was not just global warming harming the reefs as it is NOT in alarmists articles. Your scope is quite narrow, try and expand it a little.
Also your " Human induced global warming "... You make it sound like it is all caused by humans, do you realize that if we all died the trend would still continue? Do you actually think that us humans can live without emitting some GHG's... Serious!!

I don't firmly believe in climate change. I feel that there might be something happening but not sure yet. At least, not today

There is something i can't stand. Whenever you challenge a little bit a true believer in climate change, they start to panic.

And then i realized that they are talking about this at school and the kids come back home to sing that song.

Then you feel that everyone around you is agreeing or seems to agree to pay more taxes like the carbon tax and other taxes to help fight the climate change.

What do you think we can do here in Canada? Don't you realize that in China and India to name a few, they just don't care about the problem, assuming there is a problem. I travelled extensively all around the world and i can assure you that in the middle east (Dubai, Doha, Oman, ...) they don't talk about this. They look at you and still drive their big SUV and other gaz guzzling vehicules wiith a smile.

So, for myself, i'm starting to hate the people talking about the need to fight climate change.

The more they try to convince me, the more i'm driving my big chevrolet suburban with it's monster V8. I'm lucky, money is no object and i put the gaz bill into my business expenses.

It's our over population, crazy extraction of resource and downright pollution that is fucking the planet.

Have you been to the Caribbeans in the last 5 years? Chances are there was 1 feet of 'sargasse' sea weeds when you wake up first morning. These sea weeds used to filter the ocean. But now because of amazon deforestation they get detach and pollution all Caribbeans beaches.. That is just one example of mankind action that fucked it up.

China and India are and will make big changes and they have no choice they are dying from air pollution's...

It will soon be the same in Dubai, Doha, Oman as it's getting so hot down there in periods of the year you can barely survive..

Plenty of other examples...

I have 2 kids and I can assure you they are, a least where my kids goes, really well explaining it to them. Real changes will only come from future generations and definitely not from stuck up old fart like us who thinks everything was great back in our days
