I don’t wish this on anyone, not even politicians.
Hope he recovers just like anyone else who gets it and is in a vulnerable position or age.

If he is really sick and in trouble they will not let anyone know until it becomes impossible to hide it, like with Boris.

I don't wish that on anyone.

I didn't see (we could not enter) my mother die, it was surely very difficult, but she had finished her life.
If we hadn't thought of our elders as numbers. They have done everything to make our life easier.

Hatred breeds hatred, I tell myself every day we have to move on.

I think Trump is going to get away with it and become more empathetic, more human, less rough, and that he's going to learn a lesson from that.

Not sure. He’s getting world class treatment ie the possibility of getting remdesivir administered to him @ White House, treatment that wouldn’t be available to everyone ie the regeneron monoclonal cocktail, and treatment started on him before it would be on anyone else ie remdesivir, he has a privileged mentality where he can’t relate and feel empathy. I hope he does say start singing a different tune but doubt it.

The trump family has shown nothing but a “let them eat cake mentality” when it comes to covid

You can hate Trump all you want but the fact that he is getting preferential treatment is completely normal and the way it should be.
What country wouldn’t pull out all the stops to save the life of it‘s leader, how would it look to the rest of the world if they didn’t.
Boris didn't get told to go home and drink a pint of Guinness and hope for the best.

What he thinks and how he behaves or will if he pulls through we will see, hopefully it will have a humbling affect like it did on Boris.

I’m not arguing that, lol. Not faulting anyone for doing everything to give him the best chance possible. He is POTUS, lol? But I’m not sure he’s gonna be singing a significantly different covid song, that’s for sure, and you would have to be a fucking idiot not too. if people can’t see him getting covid, others getting it, the whole Scotus party @ White House for what it is? Well..

How is Chris Christie holding up btw?

His family has enjoyed near daily testing. Contact tracing if they need it, and all for themselves! U think Christie got a call about trump being +, lol! But I bet that crazy bitch who’s dating his Dumb Dumb Jr. woulda gotten a call. They walked into debate and then took the masks off and when offered masks as a hint to wear them, said “we’ve all been tested and are negative.” Again, let them eat cake mentality”

Trump may have went to a fund raiser in NJ while infected!?! It sounds like he heard Hope was infected and still went to the jersey fund raiser. No ones reporting how many people ended up + from that. It’s all the SCOTUS ceremony that is being reported. He’s never given a shit about anyone but himself, this is being shown in real time for the entire world to see

Ok so his family enjoys all the benefits of being POTUS when it comes to being tested and getting the best medical attention possible.
WTF wouldn’t you or anybody do the same for your own children if you had the chance.
I sure as hell wouldn’t tell my kids to go stand at the back of the line in some football field parking lot and then wait two weeks on pins and needles while they end up on a ventilator if I had other options.
If this is being entitled so be it.
If he survives he is a lucky SOB and hopefully he will have learned from it and change his whole approach and start listening and taking his medical experts advice seriously.

I saw these three eminent scientists and doctors (from Oxford, Stanford and Harvard) on Laura Ingraham's show tonight. I agree with their main points.

In sum, their argument is to protect the vulnerable (older folks and some others) and everyone else should go back to normal life while taking reasonable precautions.

Covid experts: there is another way
Three eminent epidemiologists met in Massachusetts to plan a better response to the pandemic

As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical, and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection.

Coming from both the left and right, and around the world, we have devoted our careers to protecting people. Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health. The results (to name a few) include lower childhood vaccination rates, worsening cardiovascular disease outcomes, fewer cancer screenings and deteriorating mental health – leading to greater excess mortality in years to come, with the working class and younger members of society carrying the heaviest burden. Keeping students out of school is a grave injustice.

Keeping these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed.

Fortunately, our understanding of the virus is growing. We know that vulnerability to death from COVID-19 is more than a thousand-fold higher in the old and infirm than the young. Indeed, for children, COVID-19 is less dangerous than many other harms, including influenza.

As immunity builds in the population, the risk of infection to all – including the vulnerable – falls. We know that all populations will eventually reach herd immunity – i.e. the point at which the rate of new infections is stable – and that this can be assisted by (but is not dependent upon) a vaccine. Our goal should therefore be to minimize mortality and social harm until we reach herd immunity.

The most compassionate approach that balances the risks and benefits of reaching herd immunity, is to allow those who are at minimal risk of death to live their lives normally to build up immunity to the virus through natural infection, while better protecting those who are at highest risk. We call this Focused Protection.

Adopting measures to protect the vulnerable should be the central aim of public health responses to COVID-19. By way of example, nursing homes should use staff with acquired immunity and perform frequent PCR testing of other staff and all visitors. Staff rotation should be minimized. Retired people living at home should have groceries and other essentials delivered to their home. When possible, they should meet family members outside rather than inside. A comprehensive and detailed list of measures, including approaches to multi-generational households, can be implemented, and is well within the scope and capability of public health professionals.

Those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal. Simple hygiene measures, such as hand washing and staying home when sick should be practiced by everyone to reduce the herd immunity threshold. Schools and universities should be open for in-person teaching. Extracurricular activities, such as sports, should be resumed. Young low-risk adults should work normally, rather than from home. Restaurants and other businesses should open. Arts, music, sport and other cultural activities should resume. People who are more at risk may participate if they wish, while society as a whole enjoys the protection conferred upon the vulnerable by those who have built up herd immunity.

The post above is the text from the "Great Barrington Declaration." It was signed by the three eminent doctors and scientists named in the above post and a number of other prominent co-signers from the medical and scientific community in the U.S. and around the world (including epidemiologists). See the declaration site for their names and affiliations.
