A hell lot more anti-vaxxers in Canada than China, so there's your reason.

China also devotes considerably more resources to prevention than Canada (see - Alberta which is at war with its medical providers in the middle of a pandemic) so no surprise there. Recently in August, they tested the whole city of Wuhan (10M people) just because of an outbreak of 300 cases.

And they have no hesitation in slamming the door to cut off spread.

"Viewed from the outside, the city might seem like a giant aquarium. Visible fish swim silently while not a drop of water leaks out. Police have welded doors shut in order to monitor who enters and leaves buildings. Roads out of the city are cut with deep trenches or blocked by walls. Even little paths that lead towards farmland have been destroyed. Swim down a river? There are nets to catch you."

"Swim down a river to escape lockdown and the nets will catch you" omg what a nightmare. If the China model is executed in Canada well like Trump said "We won't have a country anymore". Damn! Denmark has a very nice solution for the unvaccinated.

From France24 media: "The way we were: Denmark lifts all Covid curbs"

"We're aiming for free movement... What will happen now is that the virus will circulate and it will find the ones who are not vaccinated"

I like this type of "Science" hahaha. Viking science.

So you're saying you trust the Chinese numbers and vaccine over the Western equivalents ?
If the Chinese are lying or misinformation or have different protocols defining cases, hospitalization, cause of death AND at the same time run Apple and cloud computing maybe even QR code data I would say any rookie police detective would say something smells fishy. Be sure Canada cases will rise nonstop until we finally get stomped by the boot of insane authoritarianism. Just like the other Canada..Australia. It is scary. We have to trust China if they run our information networks now.

COVID cases are 300% higher than a year ago, while COVID deaths are 70% higher, and vaccination has stagnated in the United States, and the delta variant is extremely contagious.

[...]

When a young man, wearing a mask, whos grandma passed away from Covid, gets mocked while expressing his free speech, you know America is messed up.

More than 100,000 people in the country are hospitalized for the coronavirus, according to data from the Department of Health and Human Services. It's the highest number of hospitalizations seen since January, before the vaccine was widely available to the public.

The data also shows that 30% of intensive care unit beds in hospitals in the country are holding COVID-19 patients.

States in the South and Northwest are worse:

States in the South and Northwest are seeing worse rates than ever before. In Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oregon and Washington, new admissions of COVID-19 patients are at the highest levels since the start of the pandemic.

And in both Florida and Georgia, more than 25% of the inpatient hospital beds are being used for COVID-19 patients. In Mississippi, more than 61% of ICU beds have COVID-19 patients.

It was August 26, and 2 weeks later it's the same situation.

From Canada government website. This covid is so deadly You need a pre-existing disease or injury/accident to die from it. Impossible to find are the WHO instructions for vaccinated deaths. I guarantee you they will find a way NOT to label it as covid or vaccine injury. You have to read this a few times to fully realize the significance.

Selecting COVID-19 as Underlying Cause of Death

Deaths due to COVID-19, as displayed on Statistics Canada’s website, are those for which COVID-19 was found to be the underlying cause of death (UCOD), defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as (a) the disease or injury which initiated the train of events leading directly to death, or (b) the circumstances of the accident or violence which produced the fatal injury.

When a pre-existing condition is suspected of putting a person at higher risk of a severe course of COVID-19 resulting in death, the death is counted as a death due to COVID-19 rather than a death due to the pre-existing condition.

It is also possible that the death may have been influenced by COVID-19 but caused by another disease or an unintentional injury event. In these situations, COVID-19 should still be recorded on the medical certificates of cause of death, but would not be considered a death due to COVID-19.

A un moment donné, enough is enough.

So Covid exploding in super vaccinated Israel and now super vaccinated Singapore??.............

SINGAPORE, July 23 (Reuters) - Vaccinated individuals accounted for three-quarters of Singapore's COVID-19 infections in the last four weeks, but they were not falling seriously ill, government data showed, as a rapid ramp-up in inoculations leaves fewer people unvaccinated.

While the data shows that vaccines are highly effective in preventing severe cases, it also underscores the risk that even those inoculated could be contagious, so that inoculation alone may not suffice to halt transmission.

Of Singapore's 1,096 locally transmitted infections in the last 28 days, 484, or about 44%, were in fully vaccinated people, while 30% were partially vaccinated and just over 25% were unvaccinated, Thursday's data showed.

And now again???..........Even worst??!!......

SINGAPORE, Sept 13 (Reuters) - The rapid pace of new COVID-19 infections and a doubling of seriously ill patients in Singapore have raised unexpected hurdles to reopening plans for the vaccination frontrunner, where 81% of the population is fully vaccinated.

The same crap is happening in Quebec. They gonna push that Booster for sure.

You are right, same crap here in Quebec.

Non vaccinated are the overwhelming majority of severe cases that are putting the health care system at risk.

When 20% of the population ends up being 87% of the cases (Gaby's example above), what more do you need to see to understand ?

43 people in ICU. That number would be 7 if everyone was vaccinated. 7 isn't better than 43 ?

Yes, when the vaccine start to lose efficiency, we will get boosters.

What's your alternate suggestion ?
