With so many bad things going on in the world, these power hungry politicians just cannot let go of their power. They are too addicted to control. I been seeing articles of this sort in the past few weeks and these are usually signs of what is to come. They like to conduct polls to see how people will react. Well there is an update. They are prepping us for another lockdown and the return of covid mandates in September. The trucker protests gave us some freedom but it is temporary. More needs to be done to get these power hungry politicians in government to back off and to understand that we just want to be left alone and live our life the way we want to. Beware, I am afraid another one is coming. This will never end. I hope I am wrong.

According to this latest poll, freedom is top emerging concern for Canadians now. The government must listen, let people live their life the way they want to.

It will never end. Government will find ways to keep their authoritarian powers over the people.
So true, there is an uptick in cases in Europe and the politicians are already talking about masks here in the states.

You got it wrong. Governments, at least in the West are made up of people we the majority elected to represent our combined interests.
Don`t blame the government ......blame humanity and the virus that was unleashed by China`s carelessness. Mother nature is just doing her job.

Same thing happening in Canada (this is happening everywhere globally) although politicians have not said anything directly but I been seeing more and more articles of this type in recent weeks. These articles are usually a preview of things to come. The politicians like to conduct polls to see how people will react. For some reason the government does not want to let covid go. There must be some hidden agenda. I expect masks and vaccine passports to be reintroduced soon. Enjoy the freedom while you can because it will not last long.

Have you been in jail for the last two years ?
Your definition of freedom is no rules or restrictions at all.
When you drive, I suppose you pass on stop signs and red lights.
Drive at 100 m/h in school zones, etc.

Your post is moot. You are comparing Law and Order to Authoritarianism. And yes living under a curfew is similar to jail. But since you want to talk about traffic lights here is what I think, less is always better. Traffic lights are completely unnecessary. Traffic circles can replace all of them and do a far better job. Makes me think of the time when I used to frequent this stripclub called Aramis at Valleyfield, when leaving at 2am when there were almost no cars, at the intersection I was waiting ten minutes waiting for the red light to turn green. I had to wait even though there were no cars that at one point I started running that red light since it was such a waste of time. See how unnecessary this rule was just like forced masks and vaccine passports are unnecessary for a virus with a 99% survival rate and Omicron which caused less then 1% serious illness.

How is this got anything to do with covid restrictions?
If you want to talk about driving rules then that is another topic and there too our government is totally stupid.
Seems on the island of Montreal you can’t be trusted to turn right on a red light and off the island and throughout most of the world you can.

The fact is we are ALL governed by laws and rules......some we like...some we don't.....that's the way it is... ;) ...you can easily criticize when you don't...and we do a lot....BUT if at some point it's so unlivable....well...you know what to do....;).

In the UK, they've found that Covid, IN BOOSTED POPULATIONS, is less deadly than the flu

Uptade:

A rise in COVID-19 cases in Europe driven by the highly contagious omicron variant is fueling concerns that it will be followed by a new wave of cases in the U.S., which has typically lagged Europe by a matter of weeks.

Europe is seeing a fresh rise in cases that involves a subvariant of omicron dubbed BA.2, which is also spreading in the U.S., where it accounted for about 23.1% of all COVID cases in the latest week, according to the CDC, up from 13.7% of cases a week ago.

Eric Topol, founder and head of the Scripps Research Translational Institute, warned in a Guardian op-ed that the U.S. has repeatedly failed to heed the warnings from Europe that a new surge was occurring.

“When it comes to Covid, the United States specializes in denialism. Deny the human-to-human transmission of the virus when China’s first cases were publicized in late 2019.

Deny that the virus is airborne. Deny the need for boosters across all adult age groups. There are many more examples, but now one stands out — learning from other countries,” Topol wrote.
He noted that new
waves of cases have been identified in at least 12 European countries stretc.

QUÉBEC...DR.BOILEAU CE JOUR...toujours pertinent,

Good job DOC..and thanks.:)

I am not surprised at all. Pollution killed more ppl worldwide then covid did. Yet governments especially in Canada imposed covid mandates and lockdowns as if it were the deadliest virus in history and seem to not want to let it go. They politicized covid so much. I wonder what their hidden agenda is.
