Well it's sure as hell better than Bunker Boy's.

Actually Fauci is much more at fault than Bunker Boy.
Bunker Boy can claim ignorance as he is not a highly regarded medical professional, just an arrogant egotistical prick like most politicians.

Fauci on the other hand has been a spineless yes man downplaying this whole shit show from early February and only recently since it is obvious that it is getting completely out of control has he suddenly grown a bit of balls to speak like a medical professional instead of a brown nose.

Coronavirus: Upward of 8,000 state prison inmates to be released in wake of San Quentin outbreak.

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s administration on Friday green-lighted the early release of more than 8,000 state prison inmates in response to surging COVID-19 infections in California prisons, in essence conceding their inability to control the virus among the incarcerated.

The releases, set to occur on a “rolling basis” between now and the end of August, will involve low-level offenders and older inmates who officials say pose less risk to public safety.

An as-yet-uncertain number of those may actually have the virus at the time of release and will be moved into quarantine; others will be infection-free but are being released because the state cannot guarantee their safety while in prison.

Criminals are being turned loose on society in all States, not just California, although that is a very significant release. We are getting into every man for himself mode.

It seems like trumps inner circle has this “I can get away and do what ever I want.” Dude went to jail. Got lucky and was released to home and wow, now this..

Look behind you.
Just to point out, the states with ultra high infection rates in the beginning are now the ones being the better state for infections, makes you wonder about herd immunity as some people dismiss.

Spain did an extensive study involving 60,000 people and estimate that only 5% of the Spanish population had antibodies against the coronavirus.

It’s not heard immunity. Eager beavers state Ct has a low as F rate of infections, no ones died and hospitalizations are low. It’s because they are following the CdC’s Guidelines to the tee. It’s not heard immunity, it that the virus isn’t really circulating in the community. Not heard immunity. CityMd, a franchise priority care facility is stating that in the area of queens NYC which got hit like a bitch they are finding close to 60-70% + antibodies in people who are requesting antibody testing. This is the area where they had fridge trucks to pack bodies outside the hospital. The are of queens where trump grew up. Maybe they hit herd? Who knows? However if you take all of NYC, highly unlikely, and especially the whole state of NY has not achieved heard immunity.

From what I have observed here in CT that is correct. Local businesses in my community have been very aggressive applying the CDC guidelines. My liquor store down the road has a sign in front that says "DO NOT ENTER WITHOUT MASK", and the supermarkets are doing the same. It's because the Governor threatened their asses with shutdown if they did not obey CDC guidelines. The governments of the States have to take the lead, and lead. That is why the Sensational 6 are the Sensational 6. Maine was the strictest State of all 50 States and look at their actual case rates. Very low. They did not actually reopen until well into June. All of the Sensational 6 states had later reopening and more rigid guidelines than the other States.

And I hate to say I told you so to our friends down in Texas, but they all were behaving like "its a NY and CT problem" back in April, and acting like things would return to normal there because it was not really an issue. And that attitude got their whole state in trouble and now all of us have quarantined against Texas.

SolT there is no herd immunity against the coronavirus anywhere in the world....and it won`t happen till there is an effective vaccine that is given to 95% of the world in a relatively short window of time.
There is mounting evidence that CV antibodies fade after several months .

Same in NJ, they got the former CDC director advising Murphy. But they got the shore. @ beginning of whole pandemic Murphy tried to be nice and was telling all the bars down there to act wisely but....nope, everyone was packin’ in the bars, shoulder to shoulder, this was in March when weather showed point of getting nice and Murphy was like “I was nice, tried letting you guys be responsible” didn’t work and shit down. They got decent #’s now.

I still think Cuomo is gettin more hype than he deserves. A lot of governors have done well and better than him. Especially EB’s boy Lamont. I would still take cuomo over trump. Cuomo asked for the field hospitals the navy ship and army core of engineers, no way trump woulda sent that on his own. Hes having rally’s putting true self made entrepreneurs like Herman in the hospital.

Kinda think they should not completely forget about doin more trials with hydroxychloroquine as prophylactic against covid or giving it early on and see what results are. Prob is in Brazil testing is shitty. You would need to have a quick turn around time and not limit testing to set criteria. Someone feels sick, they get tested, get results back quick, and if positive can start med. provided they get baseline ecg to make sure nothing shaky goin on there

The flu vaccine is only good for 70% of the population, what makes you think this one will be better. The covid-19 does not even effect 30% of the population.
As for herd immunity, I was using NY & NJ as an example to their drastic reduction in cases because a majority of those to catch it ( it you are meant to catch this you will be it now or in 6 months ) have caught it.
I would like to see a study of people who had the virus catching it again and then dying, my guess is no one or an ultra low number.

How effective a vaccine is , is based mostly how fast a virus mutates. Most flu and cold viruses mutate pretty fast......but we don`t know much yet about our novel friend..

Dr. David Kaiser, a Montreal public health official, is concerned about the transmission of COVID-19 in bars and is recommending patrons get tested for the virus.

“There are at least five bars in Montreal which have reported cases of COVID-19 among patrons or staff and we’ve identified eight people who have been infected,” Kaiser said. “We know there are probably more cases out and we want to get out in front of this before we find ourselves dealing with a second wave.”

Kaiser said bars pose more problems than restaurants. He noted the layout of most bars allows for mingling and people might be less likely to follow the rules on social distancing after a few drinks.

The city has the power to intervene if there are continuing problems with an individual bar, but Kaiser said if there was a wide-scale problem in the industry, the city would have to take its concerns to the province for action.

The coronavirus prowls and waits for its prey, and there it's full.
