Dance, almost no mask, many meetings, alcohol served after midnight. More than 200 people appeared to be completely unaware of the threat of COVID-19 during a party night at a Laval restaurant on Saturday night, Lordia.

The problem is alcohol. This is the reason why I drink alcohol right at home, because with my friends, my inhibitions, my rationality, disappear.

^^^^I clicked on the CDC link but wasn’t able to find the data/survival rates posted to the above Twitter link.

^^^^Got it. What the Twitter post did was convert it from an Infection Fatality Ratio to a survival percentage. Same info, just presented differently. With all the fake news happening I end up double checking everything. All good. Thx.

Yes it's true, but it still has 2 sides to a medal.

One is survival, and the other is the 200,000 dead.

If you had, like me, lost your mother in a CHSLD, the second side would be much heavier, no matter where in the world.

Thank God she died after only 4 1/2 weeks.

The decor is minimalist. We don't hear any music. All light is on a man in his 50s who is staring straight at the camera. Francis is a former entrepreneur who believed he was in great shape, until COVID-19 hit him hard and left him with the aftermath of a tracheostomy.

He was hospitalized for 45 days, 12 of which were in a coma.
Since then, he can no longer work. I was at a friend's house. We were chatting in the doorway, nothing more mundane than that, he explains before concluding by saying: Believe me, COVID-19 is serious.

It’s fake news. CNN has tendency to interview just any one. Today it just happened to be the White House chief physician.

I don’t wish this on anyone, not even politicians.
Hope he recovers just like anyone else who gets it and is in a vulnerable position or age.

If he is really sick and in trouble they will not let anyone know until it becomes impossible to hide it, like with Boris.

I don't wish that on anyone.

I didn't see (we could not enter) my mother die, it was surely very difficult, but she had finished her life.
If we hadn't thought of our elders as numbers. They have done everything to make our life easier.

Hatred breeds hatred, I tell myself every day we have to move on.

I think Trump is going to get away with it and become more empathetic, more human, less rough, and that he's going to learn a lesson from that.

Not sure. He’s getting world class treatment ie the possibility of getting remdesivir administered to him @ White House, treatment that wouldn’t be available to everyone ie the regeneron monoclonal cocktail, and treatment started on him before it would be on anyone else ie remdesivir, he has a privileged mentality where he can’t relate and feel empathy. I hope he does say start singing a different tune but doubt it.

The trump family has shown nothing but a “let them eat cake mentality” when it comes to covid

You can hate Trump all you want but the fact that he is getting preferential treatment is completely normal and the way it should be.
What country wouldn’t pull out all the stops to save the life of it‘s leader, how would it look to the rest of the world if they didn’t.
Boris didn't get told to go home and drink a pint of Guinness and hope for the best.

What he thinks and how he behaves or will if he pulls through we will see, hopefully it will have a humbling affect like it did on Boris.
