He did not provide proof. He regurgitated the OPINION of a professor. That opinion is contradicted by other professors. At the end, all politics aside, there isn't consensus on gain of function research. In the worst case they will find there was a difference of opinion. Fauci is no idiot. He is not going to lie to Congress. He knows exactly what he is saying. Were they dangerously close to the line on this one. I wouldn't be surprised.
He is asking the DOJ to investigate which is fine. Sending it to the court of public opinion is "typical". You expect that people who take horse medication over vaccination will understand this stuff ?
BTW, if you want to make it absolute political BS, just say it was most recently funded under the Trump admin.

C'mon P, bus driver/Indianapolis 500? Not sure what your even talking about. The senator is accusing Dr. Fauci of lying. He is elected by his constituents to do exactly this. Rand Paul is perfectly in the right to make these accusations. The fact that he has nothing to do with Fauci's field of expertise is irrelevant. You just dislike the accuser. Had it been someone from the left side of the aisle you would have fallen right in line with the other sheep.

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has a total Ivermectin (drug against coronavirus) meltdown, appearing to take the drug on air, although it's not actually clear he did.
The scary part is people would rather take medical advice from someone like that, than believe a renowned doctor who specializes in viruses.
Alex Jones straight up lied. He said Ivermectin won a Nobel Prize for being an antiviral. False. It won a Nobel Prize in 2015, NOT 2005, for being a novel treatment against roundworm parasites. Ivermectin isn’t approved for ANY antiviral “stuff.”
Just so I understand because this is complex :
People that take the vaccines are sheep. Right ?
People that take livestock medication are ......?

They have more hospitalizations than Quebec/Ontario/Maritimes combined.
Lower vaccination rate, getting rid of restrictions......what could go wrong ?

Most all mainstream is reporting this situation in Israel. Either they are genetically more vulnerable or we are being lied to here in Canada.
a) while they were ahead of vaccination, they aren't anymore. They have their share of nutcakes. Like SERIOUS nutcakes.
b) they opened up too quickly
c) while the number of cases is up, hospitalizations are on a downward trend.
If you're expecting the vaccine to put an end to it, you will be disappointed.
Set your expectation that it will reduce serious disease and death and you'll be happier than a blind mind at Cleos.
Over 70% of the population is fully vaccinated yet cases are rising faster then they did last year at the same time of the year. They will of course blame the Delta variant. I am not buying it. I am even suspicious in the numbers. Are they now working on a Delta vaccine? They might have the Omega or Episilon variant by then.
Last year no one was vaccinated and cases are rising faster this year even though the majority got the vaccine this year... Just saying.Just note 900.000 are still non-vaccinated...just saying.
Take the Ontario numbers. 800 cases. 178 were fully vaccinated. So do the math, if the other 25% was fully vaccinated they would contribute 60 rather than 622, for a total of 238 instead of 800, which would be substantially less than last year with a more dangerous variant.
On top of that, while cases are there, hospitalizations in the vaccinated is very low.
What is it going to take for the unvaccinated to see how much useless risk they are putting themselves at.
BTW, of the 198 in hospital 14% are under 40. That's till 1 in 7.
Almost as many in the 30-39 category as 80-89. In Delta times, 30 is the new 80
