For now as Patron has stated Covid is nothing more than a more severe and dangerous cold which likely won’t kill you.
This however can change with a new variant if vaccination isn’t continued in third world countries.

Did the world over react. That is debatable, it did cause an economic catastrophe with which we will be living with for quite sometime.
Were all the lockdowns curfews mask mandates vaccine passports businesses lost forever loss of freedoms worth the lives it my have saved, time will tell.
Hopefully we have learned and will be better prepared for the next one.

Well said. Baby boomers were the ones wanting these lockdowns the most because they were usually the most scared of covid and the least affected by the damage caused by covid mandates and lockdowns. They are retired and their house is already paid for, they already have their family. The inflation caused by these lockdowns does not affect them much. The young were the most affected by this. They want to socialize and go out they are starting new to life and have their own family. They need to secure a future and also one day would like to be the owner of a detached house. And to add the way conjugal violence has greatly increased due to these lockdowns. These pro-lockdown individuals like to use wokeness to manipulate people to think their way just as the poster above you did. There is many other collateral damage to the exaggerated covid mandates like all the elective surgeries that got delayed especially cancer treatment. Like you said narcissistic is the route cause. Only those that expect everyone to surrender their freedoms for some that are so afraid is selfish to the core. These people best reexamine how selfish they are. Freedom is based on love and altruistism. Pro-government people follow whatever the government says, government says covid is dangerous then they think it is the almighty truth. But of course only covid matters because the government politically hijacked this issue for their own political gain. Of course you follow what they say. Is the government supposed to be everyones parents? About covid it is the people to choose what they want for themselves, if they want to wear a mask and get ten booster shots all the power to them. The point is mask mandates vaccinations were necessary in the beginning up to the Delta variant.
With Omicron it is totally useless as you are just as likely to get infected, now if you are smart you will do the vaccinations as it still works well to prevent serious illness and death.
Yes there are still many becoming infected and some dying but it has reached the point where it should be your choice to get vaccinated and mask mandates and lockdowns are totally useless. It is time to treat this the way most countries are treating it a more serious flu virus.
By all means have vaccination available free to anyone that wants it and have the viral drugs now available to treat it that are 90% effective against death and serious illness.
Time to open up and get back to a normal life 2 1/2 years of this has destroyed the economy and many businesses and has caused enough turmoil and hardship for people, time to move on and rebuild.
