It's all tied to the official guidance in place at any given point in time. When people said earlier not to assemble in crowds, that was at that time, not forever obviously. Now it's 2022 and most people are vaccinated. Do you have evidence that two weeks ago, someone said not to assemble in crowds but went to the event?
Dr. Fauci, which was the point of my initial post even though you continue to try to spin it in another direction. So now it's ok to gather in large groups indoors? I wish you would make up your mind and follow the science and not your political agenda.

Nothing interesting to post than naming individual? What is the point? Should we name the 1 million who died?

Here is an other one who got COVID. So what?

Bruins will be without Charlie McAvoy for Game 4 and perhaps beyond. COVID has returned to the Bruins — and at the worst possible time — with Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy ruled out of Sunday’s Game 4 at TD Garden by way of his landing in the league’s COVID protocol.

I didn't start this crap, I'm just joining in. That's my point. Yes, we should name the millions that have died, that's what many of you don't understand. Everyone that has died from this nasty disease has families, friends, and loved ones, regardless of your political affiliation. Understand that and you may finally start to get the big picture.

You posted "Do as I say not as I do"... implying some people (presumably the government or just Dems) were telling people to do one thing while doing something different themselves. Not much to spin there. But there is no prohibition on vaccinated people gathering in large groups, that I can find. In case you didn't realize, yes the guidance has changed over time. These are facts, not my political agenda. Please keep up with these developments which are based on science, before you make baseless statements.

Beijing is not immune to a new confinement. The Chinese city is tightening coronavirus restrictions after reporting 41 cases on Sunday.

Beijing officials have closed gyms and cinemas and raised Covid-19 testing requirements in a bid to avert the situation in Shanghai, where tens of millions of people have been confined to their apartments.

The new wave of health checks in Beijing marked the latest sign that Chinese leaders remained committed to implementing President Xi Jinping’s zero Covid policy.
This is despite indications that the policy is causing widespread economic damage within and beyond China’s borders and sparking domestic opposition to the government’s handling of the pandemic.

Beijing authorities ordered three rounds of PCR tests across the city last week after a cluster of cases was discovered in the Chaoyang business district.
The daily number of cases in the capital has remained in double digits for the past seven days.

This could mean that over two million people in England could have long COVID.

The findings come from the Real-time Assessment of Community Transmission (REACT) study, led by Imperial College.

Better understanding of long COVID needed

Professor Paul Elliot from Imperial College London’s School of Public Health, said:

Our findings do paint a concerning picture of the longer-term health consequences of COVID-19, which need to be accounted for in policy and planning.

Long COVID is still poorly understood but we hope through our research that we can contribute to better identification and management of this condition, which our data and M’ suggest may ultimately affect millions of people in the UK alone.

That's exactly what is happening, do as I say, not as I do. I made no no such baseless comment, you just decided to challenge my comment when you should have just left it alone and follow the science.

After holding to the widely doubted line for more than two years that it had a perfect record of keeping out the coronavirus, North Korea has imposed a nationwide lockdown to control its first acknowledged COVID-19 outbreak.

The outbreak forced leader Kim Jong-un to wear a mask in public likely for the first time since the start of the pandemic, but the scale of transmissions inside North Korea wasn't immediately known.

When a disease targets obese people, it must be scary being the only obese person in the whole country.

North Korea on Saturday reported 21 new deaths and 174,440 more people with fever symptoms as the country scrambles to slow the spread of COVID-19 across its unvaccinated population.

The new deaths and cases, which were from Friday, increased total numbers to 27 deaths and 524,440 illnesses amid a rapid spread of fever since late April.

North Korea said 243,630 people had recovered and 280,810 remained in quarantine. State media didn't specify how many of the fever cases and deaths were confirmed as COVID-19 infections.

The country imposed what it described as maximum preventive measures on Thursday after confirming its first COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.

It had previously held for more than two years to a widely doubted claim of a perfect record keeping out the virus that has spread to nearly every place in the world.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un during a meeting on anti-virus strategies on Saturday described the outbreak as a historically "great upheaval" and called for unity between the government and people to stabilize the outbreak as quickly as possible.
