I am not seeing a lot of risk. Some unknown, but 4Billion doses have been given world wide. I wonder if any drug had so much testing ? You will never get more data on the safety of a drug than the vaccine.
I do get the "makes more sense to vaccinate the 50 y/o in the south American country than the 12 y/o in Utah". There is still a limited amount of supply.
If all able adults had the courage to be vaccinated that would greatly reduce the need to vaccinate the young.
If I had a 12yo, I would do what his/her paediatrician would recommend.
