So you think all the dead, all the people that were hospitalized, all the chronically ill people from covid of ALL ages is not a reality. Then there is nothing more to say.
Reality is more ppl died of pollution then of covid but no one is ready to have that conversation. So tell me something else.

Why is this bullshit, precautions and obligation to get treated or isolated apply to other diseases such as tuberculosis, polio, diphtheria, etc.. why is caring about others such a problem for you?
If you are currently suffering from it positively without a shadow of a doubt, then yes isolate for 2 weeks. The issue is this is a 2 weeks virus (in most cases for symptoms, and in all cases for contagion) yet they treat everybody as if they had it at all time. The concept of being asymptomatic being big enough of a deal to warrant this show that in most case this virus ain't even dangerous to most peoples.

Also my point of this post was that if you got vaccinated you are protected anyway, so stop acting like an anxious and fear everybody everywhere. When i see peoples who got vaccinated saying this like the pass concept because it make them feel safer... What the heck you fear? You GOT VACCINATED ! YOU are protected. You shouldn't be fearing someone who didn't.

YProblem is the government that is making it a big deal and a big problem out of something that is not so big. We get bombarded by government funded ads 24/7 about vaccines and covid. All they talk about is covid and keep reminding you how it is a pandemic. You are right we never faced this before but I mean we never faced so much government interference and this whole covid thing is so political.

Precisely. I think we all agreed to the initial (for at least 3-4 weeks) lockdown because we were in front of the unknown. Better safe than sorry. BUT after so many time passed, we are not in front of the unknown anymore. We know what is Covid and we know a vast majority of its panic is cause by media/governement fueling it. The fact that the media always call it "the pandemic" and not "the Covid" is because "Pandemic" has a more serious, fear indulcing tone.

I said it before and ill say it again... without the medias reminding us daily (on behaf of the governement) most of us would not even know we are in a "pandemic". We would live our lives normally, and a few of us would maybe get sick, most would see it as a flu and spend a few days in bed at home, a minority would go to the hospital and be tell they have Covid... still they would heal. A VERY VERY small portion would get in ICU and even less die.

And without governement being so controlling and abusing power, there would not had been so many peoples turning down vaccination and getting frustrated and just wanting to go against them.

1- If you are reading this thread from the beginning, you will realise you get this one wrong. Cloud made it clear in his own post that the only reason he got vaccinated was to get access to vaxi-code to get access to stripclubs. Good for him and for us. Any reason to get the vaccine is a good move. Not my words, his words. But there were others, not a bunch, fortunately, who continue to deny the gravity of COVID and then of Delta-variant which is worst in many aspect than the original virus. Fortunately, we got the vaccine fast, granted to a Turkish immigrant couple who went to Germany and founded BioNtech who made the mRNA vaccine. Pfizer than united to BioNtech to test the vaccine further and help to the massive production. We were also lucky that vaccination went fast and that this vaccine was still efficient against the delta-variant.

2- Each time the legitimate elected government put more pressure toward the not vaccinated one, being vaxi-code, obligation for health care workers or others, % population vaccinated increased. The same reaction was observed in other countries, USA, France, Germany, UK, etc... Pretending the opposite is just misinformation or trying to rewrite history. By the way, rewriting history was at the hearth of 1984, by George Orwell. The government is not abusing its power, it is just exercising with responsibility. To unusual problem, you need unusual solution.

I am afraid, the vaccine doesn't protect 100%, and even though I only have flu-like symptoms, I am really not interested in that.
Poor baby... lol. Sorry to tell you but having flu is part of life. Im not saying im looking forward to it either but everytime i got to a show or comiccon or whatever, i knew there was a risk of getting them. Its part of the acceptance. If you don't want them, stay at home...

Congratulations HM you are a top scientist.

You can predict which variant to watch for next.

Variants are overhyped. They may be more contagious but they are basically the same thing. Just another of our governements tool to keep the fear alive. Giving them fancy names on top of it. Oh no Omicron this, Omicron that... turn out Omicron is more a Starscream level of threat than an Unicron so far... :p

Exactly my point, you shouldn't feel forced to take it. THAT is wrong. Its not health base, its punishment to not follow the narrative and orders. Sure some peoples like Cloud may take it to go to the strip club, but others like me will say "whatever..." and too bad, i won't bend the knee. I wasn't totally closed to the vaccination (for myself i mean, as i never was against it, actually quite the opposite, for peoples at risk and peoples who willingly want it) at first. I examined the situation under many angles and eventually realized i didn't need it. But forcing it this way and governements being jerk about it, infringing birth rights... thats just the confirmation i took the right decision and now i won't trust those peoples ever again on anything.

How many people died from pollution in 2020 in Quebec?
Look it up yourself. You claim to be a scientist but 2020 probably would be atypical as pollution was greatly reduced due to government lockdowns. But here is an article to put things into perspective. Very interesting read you will appreciate it as a scientist. But you see the government has not made it political like they did with covid.

Direct quote from the article "We adopted unprecedented measures to protect people from COVID-19, yet we don’t do enough to avoid the millions of preventable deaths caused by air pollution every year,” says Yevgen Nazarenko, a Research Associate at McGill University who conducted the study with Devendra Pal under the supervision of Professor Ariya."

Or simply more and more fully vaccinated people are being infected as these newer variants are more capable of eluding the vaccines and as time passes between doses.
I don’t like making up theories as I am neither a scientist nor a statistician and that is exactly why I like to wait until there is enough evidence and agreement before jumping to conclusions.
This is why questioning is important and looking at both sides of the coin without having blinders on.
The only thing so far which seems to be convincing thankfully is that the vaccines do work well in preventing serious illness and death and let’s hope that remains like that.

I like this slide because it takes age groups into account which i was hinting at previously

It's efficacy of different vaccination status from the UKs data.

I love the term "Immunonaive". Naive is such a nice gentle way to describe it. I have to be less harsh and learn from the brits.

Giving them fancy names on top of it.

They did consider using comic book villain names but they figured only a select few would get it. I bet you would get vaccinated if DeathStroke was after you.

So they chose the greek alphabet. It just happens that "select few" don't get that.

Variants are overhyped. They may be more contagious but they are basically the same thing.

Little lesson in contagious diseases. Something more contagious, that is the "same thing" from a virulence perspective, kills more people. Just saying....

Rachel Maddow looks at the increasingly extreme and bizarre ideas being pursued by people who eschew Covid vaccines in favor of imaginary remedies, and shares reporting from Brandy Zadrozny of NBC News on an alarming number of people purchasing bags of dirt they've been convinced have medicinal value.
That Rachel Madcow's reporting of using dirt for primitive vaccination ain't new. This guy, George Carlin, was already on it 20+ years ago.

HM please find out before you say anything wrong.

And let me tell you, you are going to bend the knee if you have the Covid.
No its not wrong, just fact. Its overhyped. Its presented to spread the fear but right now all we know is that it is more contagious yet less virulent.

And the chances i would "bend the knee" to Covid itself is small. I could asymptomatic, i could have symptoms close to a cold. I could have flu like symptoms and have a few days of being in bed feeling ill. You don't even know. Base on my age and medical conditions my odds are good that it pass as not much if i ever get it. Then there is the chances of getting it itself, wich in my situation is unlikely...

Lol you are funny. Using the names they gave them is easier to keep the uninformed talking about them and all. I mean the boomer won't keep mentioning how variant B.1.1.529 is this or that, but will do using the fancy name he sees on TV.

Deathstroke sound pretty cool but i wouldn't be too worried. Talk about Darkseid and then maybe ill get nervous :p

And nah it does not since now peoples at risk are mostly vaccinated. We have much less hospitalizations and death than last year.

Darkseid got his ass kicked by Batman and Wonderwoman. Like really, Batman ? Wonderwoman I get, but Batman ?
He is the Omicron of super villans. Lots of hype. But he fell to a Radion bullet which is kind of like a third dose.

BTW, with the arrival of pediatric vaccines, they are giving Spiderman bandaids at the clinics. Admit it, you're tempted.

The boomers are afraid their cataract surgery may get delayed if you take their hospital bed, so be nice to your elders.

There are many top athletes who have tested positive, in short your age and even less your state of health, protects you.

As you had said that you were overweight, already there is a cause of this comorbidities.

I prefer not to take chances.

I would not bet on your chances if in addition you don't respect the sanitary instructions.

This talk of "Bending a knee" for covid reminds me of Tim Pool's experience. Tim Pool is a VERY sharp journalist and he lays out the story quite well. He was apparently NOT vaccinated. 35 years old and known to have an active healthy lifestyle.
This is very unlike Canadian news garbage showing HIV patients, drug overdose victims, 80+ year olds, etc with positive covid tests on ventilators pictured in the news to represent "covid" through association with provoking imagery.

I Tested Positive For COVID, Faced Hospitalization If Not For "The Kitchen Sink" Prescriptions
