Can someone recommend a good delicatessen? I want to pick up some turkey and smoked meat. I have a small fridge where I am staying and I am getting tired of having to go out to restaurants everyday.

If you're staying downtown, you can't go wrong with my favorite place to eat, Reuben's Deli. They make a great Super Smoked Meat & also a great Smoked Turkey Sandwich. Check it out:

Reuben's Deli Restaurant, 1116 rue Ste-Catherine O, Montréal, QC (514) 866-1029‎

It would help if we knew where you are located, I am sure that you do not want to spend an hour or more in travel time to pick up a meal. Do you have a microwave oven. If you do than this would expand your choices of food you can keep in the fridge and prepare for yourself. Here are my suggestions.

- Find a supermarket that has a deli counter, they can slice you up some cold cuts. The cold cuts in the cryo-vac bags never seem to taste as good.

- If you are close to Pine and St. Laurent ( close to Swarzts smoked meat place ) One place that I go to pick up a smoked meat sandwich is Slovania, it is a deli counter where you can get a hot sandwich to take out or other cold cuts. A hot smoked meat sandwich is $4.50. ( About 1 block south of Pine on St Laurent on the east side )

- Spice up your sandwiches with special sauce. I mix 80% mayonnaise, 10% Dijon mustard, and 10% Presidents Choice horse radish mayonnaise together. ( Add ore or less Dijon mustard and or horse radish mayonnaise to suit your taste ) It really makes a difference, once you try it you will never go back to plain mayonnaise.
