mid 40s sounds about right. Thats when i started having that problem too. I could be with the hottest provider delivering top gfe service and would still go limp or could not finish.
I severly reduced my porn consumption which helped, but did not 'cure' me. How I longed for those younger years when I was so sensitive I had the opposite problem of cuming too fast!
I turned to viagra which helped with erection, but wont help with overall under-sensitivity or finishing.
But now I've 100% cut out the porn since almost a year, i've reduced viagra to half the smallest dose and I space out my appointments to minimum 48hrs.
On my encounter yesterday with a good provider (but not the best I've had) I was super sensitive and had to stop her multiple times during bbj and came almost instantly in fs. I'm almost cured, next step is to cut out the viagra completely.
My progress has literally taken me years to achieve, because I waited too long to cut out the jerking off (with or without porn)

There is a spider that may help with ED.

According to a 2007 report by Live Science, a Brazilian wandering spider's venom stimulates a painful, hours-long erection. The venom boosts nitric oxide, a chemical that increases blood flow. Considered one of the deadliest spiders on the planet, its scientific name, Phoneutria, is Greek for "murderess."Aug 11, 2023

I have a fear of spiders and search countries I visit.
Cialis and Viagra also boost nitric oxide in the body.

So I never thought I'll ever have trouble with getting an erection and Cumming but here I am.

A bit of a background, mid 40s recently divorced.
Divorce has been devastating mentally. Going much better now.
Sex has always been awful with ex so always relied on myself.
That is, normally twice in the shower weekly with hot water manually.

I have noticed recently that it takes longer and it's much harder to get a hard on and cumming. Can't hardly cum multiple times either. Also I think I'm getting desensitized.

I was sure it was a problem of erectile dysfunction but now am not sure if it's also a problem of 'death grip'.
Any recommendations guys ? I have bought a pump but not sure if it'll help or make the matter worse.
So confused. And I thought that being divorced now I was going to be able to enjoy it more.

I'm in shape no history of high blood pressure.
But I do sleep very little. 4-5 hours daily.
I was thinking of getting treatment at elna sexual wellness but don't know if it's really a erectile problem and how costly it is. Or just stop masturbating. Not interested in meds if I can treat it otherwise.
Thought of going to see sp/ mp if it could help but really don't know.
Or maybe testosterone therapy

Any help advice is appreciated thanks !!
You mention "devastiting mentally" about your divorce. Did you have or still take anti depression pills? Some have this effect i know by experience it take me longer to cum, no erectile problem but sometimes feel less sensitive.

There are not many messages on sugar and insuline resistance and ED. I am not in any matter a dr or med specialist, but insuline resistance is one of the reason for organs not working properly.

Check this:

At my 55s, I personnally I take 2.5 mg of cialis every other day, and when needed ( with a sp...with gf not needed) I take 12.5 mg of Viagra. I do workout every day...really, I lift weights, kettlebell, spinning, cross country ski, and much more.. I still drink, sometimes too much, but I take care of my diet. I never buy bread, and I only eat pasta when I crave for my carbonnara...most important, I fast 12 to 16 hrs every day, and I break my fast with some green, vinegar and olive oil...

Thats my protocol, I want to cut buzz, but its not easy...

Keep working on yourselves, you should be your first priority...and sex is a good reason to stay fit!!

So I'm not sure what I have but it's starting to affect me in the sense that It's getting difficult to have an erection an maintaining sometimes.
I can have one without a problem. But then I can't really go a second round. And the next day is worst and so on. I need a day or two break in between.
I know I'm not that young anymore but just last year I was still able to go for it after 4 days straight two / three times a day. And now I can't anymore. Why would I do it this way ? Because of my long distance relationship. Otherwise every other day should be fine. I think.

I know it's only going to get worse, but how I can slow this whole thing ?
I'm not overweight but may have cholesterol problem and high blood pressure. I like to take hot shower and play with it. I don't sleep much 4-5 hours. Last blood test i took testosterone level were fine.
I don't drink at all nor smoke.
Don't take any medication but started supplement to see if it can help.
I tried no fap and not much change. Only thing my balls hurt a bit after 2 weeks and my load is huge. Not sure what to do. I'm 45.

Any suggestions guys ? Thanks

Man, go see your doc. He will connect you with a urologist or another specialist . Something is not right, that you know. I affects your morale, and your everyday life. Don’t waste time and life enjoyment. Go.

My doc is bad, she prescribed me viagra and says that's normal. Haven't used it yet as I prefer to see if I can fix things naturally before taking medicine.

So what's the specialist? I see in private they have some clinics such as Edna center, but how about in the public sector ? Just wondering what type of specialists I should look for.

Sleep more. 4-5 hours is completely insufficient. Your body produces testosterone the most while you sleep. You said the same thing months ago I noticed and didn't change that yet? You totally should.

Also imo you might as well try what your doctor prescribed before saying that she's bad...

Thank you for your answer.
I thought too that testosterone level could be an issue. But tested and they are normal.
I so agree with you on sleep. It's just that in this long distance relationship it's hard. But I cannot agree more. Yes thank you.

but viagra or other pills will give an erection but not resolve the source problem would it ? Age is an issue i suppose. I just want to find the source of the problem before taking meds. That why . And not depend or get addicted to meds.

I’m 59. Didn’t need medication until recently. I was in about same situation as you are and was reluctant to take med. I must admit it helped. Not a panacea but it’s kind of fun and reassuring to see it bigger than ever even before action begins.
Not sure if I would have continue hobby without medication. Probably yes but with less confidence.
I have the chance to have favorites who are aware and brought it back to life several times before it failed.
The thing is, I didn’t want to be « rescued » on a permanent basis.
There are no addiction related to these pills but sex yes.:p

So after 10 days of abstinence my balls hurts... is it normal for humans not to masturbate? Just wondering because I've been doing it normally regularly.
Not sure if its good to keep it all in and if it shouldn't be released once in a while.

Additionally does anyone knows if minoxidil to treat baldness causes erectile disfunction? I see a lot of contradiction on the internet.

Aging sucks lol
I'm gonna try to age well , I always thought those things won't happen to me... boy am I wrong.

Can't say I know what that is but if there's contradicting reports online that it can be related to ED, then I'd say it varies on the person.

I was put on medication for cholesterol around last summer and I went through a similar experience. At first the only effect I noticed was vivid dreams but over time I started realizing that it's like I was losing the excitement factor even on my own. I'd jerk off and I'd be there for a while and nothing, I could get hard from the stimulation but then it went nowhere. It felt as exciting as if I was touching my arm. Told my doc about it during a follow up and said she hadn't heard of it causing issues with sex drive. Erection it could be possible but it killing the sensation and the drive was new to her. And similarly, when I looked online I didn't find anything conclusive, some say it even helped, others that it could cause issues. In the end, if you're taking some medication on a constant basis do what I did, if you safely can, and stop taking it for a while see if it solves your problem. In my case it did so I only take it on and off so it still helps but doesn't affect too much my sex life.

Masturbate or not, I read once that it has no incidence on prostate cancer. I don’t know for the rest of the « hardware »…

I got the same problem (loosing hair)…I think I look more « mean » then I was before so…I like it!!!
Nowadays, baldness is kind of « normal » situation.

I agree. All we can do is diminishing the inconveniences.
I do regularly powerlifting during CrossFit sessions. It helps producing testosterone naturally, preserve muscular mass and help preventing heart strokes by improving blood circulation.
