Lamoriello, Mark Hunter & Dubas are doing just fine. They don't need my help.
But Bergevin?? He was a mediocre defenceman in the NHL and he's not doing that much better as a GM. Where he excelled in the NHL was as the resident court jester on most of the teams he played on. He was the 'Guy Lapointe' of his day. That's why he made many friends and how he wound up in a management position for an NHL team.
EB is right: I could teach Bargain Bin Bergevin a few tricks. Geoff Molson should definitely hire me and i'd cost a fraction of what the other incompetents would be asking for.
The Drouin trade has been an incredible bust for the Habs so far this season. Sergachev has been nothing short of incredible for the Rays and he'll likely spend the entire season with the Bolts although limiting them to 40 games would have fetched them a 2nd-round pick from the Habs. Drouin has probably been the biggest disappointment on the team so far.

But who in there right mind would hire a 60+ years old with no hockey experience. It's one thing to trash talk and follow media and another to make hockey your profession as a back office clerk or rink rat or whatever.

The window to blow this catastrophe up and make some major changes is starting to close again. Overpriced Price sucks again, he's not getting any younger, Weber's huge contract is killing the team budget, Galchenyuk & Pacioretty are playing like thirtysomethings at the tail-end of their careers and other than Brendan Gallagher everyone's playing like they don't want to be in Montreal.
Bergevin needs and must trade those players in order to blow it all up and eventually turn the franchise into a contending one once again. It starts by trading Carey Price and Shea Weber. Then you hope to get fair value by trading away Pacioretty and Galchenyuk. You likely will have to trade Gallagher but he's currently your best bet to get something of value in return. Plekanec and Petry have to go. I'd keep Drouin and put him on the wing permanently unless you can get something of great value for him. The rest of the team are spare and interchangeable parts. You also need to send back Victor Mete to the juniors before you ruin him.

Last season it took 95 points to make the playoffs if you were in the Eastern Conference. This means that the Habs likely need at least 65 points in order to make the playoffs with 51 games to go. In other words it's next to impossible for them to make it and their best bet would be to finish close to last in order to improve their drafting position.
