This is so stupid i won’t bother to answer. LolWhy does Suzuki get 1st star and Laine 3rd star when both players had 1 goal and 2 assists? Is Suzuki's 3 points worth more than Laine's? I don't understand the math please explain.

I gave no reasoning, I just asked a question why 2 guys with equivalent stats don't get the same stars.Do you know that penalty killing and défensive plays don't count ?
Goalers should never have stars according to your reasonning.
Maybe because they play different roles during the game. Just saying, because the reality is that the choices made for the 3 stars is always to be taken with a grain of salt.I gave no reasoning, I just asked a question why 2 guys with equivalent stats don't get the same stars.

If you are referring to +/-, Suzuki and Laine were both +1 for the game, so if there was some other defensive stat Laine didn't shine in let us know. Suzuki did have 1 hit and 1 takeaway to 0 for Laine, however, Suzuki ruined that advantage with 3 giveaways to 2 for Laine. There is nothing here that is decisive.Stars are not given only for goals and assists but for the defensive aspect of the game too, in which aspect, Laine doesn't shine particularly.
