Back in SoCal on the WTF board my handle is Regular Joe, have being using it for a long time, some years ago, when I started to come to Canada on a regular basis, I started looking into the boards here and decided to use the same handle, unfourtunately, the first board I tried it in (do not really remember the one) refuse me the handle.

I tried some combinations in my head and ended with Canadian Joe as I figure it will be easy to make the link between this handle and the one back home.

Register myself and then work force me to stay away for a while from Canada. By the time I came back I had forgotten the password of the handle and was just unable to get the handle back.

Bummer! I figured, I would like to keep the Canadian Joe handle so took the prefix of my tel number at the time and added to the original Canadian handle.

Therefore Canadian Joe 652

I just hope that I do not forget it again as the handle is getting more cryptic as I move along.

I have always been surrounded with classical music. Classical music for me is a way of life, my retreat when I need a moment of reflexion, my inspiration when I'm creating something, my source of energy, one mandatory ingredient of my happiness, etc. I'm not playing any instrument, helas, but some of my family members are. Like Obélix, I drowned in it when I was young!

When I first looked at boards like this one and checked other peoples handles, I found many to be centered around sex. I wanted something more in line with what defined me as a person. Amadeus what an obvious choice, Mozart being known by almost anyone, classical music listener on not. When I tried to register an email address "Amadeus@so-and-so" by itself was already taken. Since I also think I'm a relaxed and cool type of guy, the Cool prefix was a good match... and here I am!

Vulcan ( the other kind)

With this handle, I am often greeted with "Live lond and prosper". When this happens I have to respond that it refers to the other kind of Vulcan (the one on two wheels).

When I went on a motorcycle ride with one of the lady of the Board, when she looked at the ride, she said "Now I see where your handle comes from!".

For those who are not familiar with motorcycle, Vulcan is the model of my motorcycle.

I feel like reviving this thread. For those of you who did not yet tell your story, tell us how you thought of your MERB handle!

My name comes from what I long to be & how I feel when I am visiting the beautiful city of Montreal. People have told me that I am too deep & serious at times and that I should be more carefree. When you see me in Montreal, I will be Happy Go Lucky.......... and quite possible drunk? But only after the SP leaves!

The day I registered I had been reading some poems written by a poet I enjoy, so I took his name as my handled. Here is a sample:

Your tongue thrums and moves
Into me, and I become
Hollow and blaze with
Whirling light, like the inside
Of a vast expanding pearl.

Kenneth Rexroth writing as Marichiko, a Japanese female poet he invented and whose poetry he wrote in Japanese and in English.

months ago when i was lurking on Merb, having followed link after link, from a Mirror escort ad's website, to Robin's spreadsheet, then finally merb itself.
Well same thing for me.

I discovered the blue board first. Then i needed to create a handle to post my first review. I tried to think of a name and it pass right thru my mind. 8 years ago my first job was at a restaurant working as a waiter and the manager was a very funny guy. One day as i was filling the big rack with the wine bottles slamming them into their holes he told me Hey Knucklehead, ! Hey you are going to break the damn thing... So Knucklehead it was!

Then i start to notice there was more traffic on merb then on the blue one. So i create my handle on merb and i used the same handle.

Well i guessed my life changed a bit since i start hobying. The number of hours spent each week reading posting ... Im don't hobby that much only once in a while but i like to see the catalogue before buying so the board is usefull..Also there are those funny post that are priceless. No really Merb is great entertainement. :D

I love early morning appointments, 'Servus' is a greeting amongst good friends. :)
After her first 'O', she cries 'Na Servus!' (Oh boy!) :p
After her third she cuddles into my arms and mutters, 'Na Servus, you sweet Ogre, how can I work today?'

I got mine from a BBS application form for the Big O BBS back in 1988. They said that you needed to write your real name and not a handle, e.g. "Psychoclam".

Since then the name stuck.

I actually wanted "GuitaPlaya" but my gramatically-correct mind automatically typed "Guitar"....
Well, guess what I do for a living ;-)

There are a whole bunch of new players on Merb since this thread was started.
My handle comes from claiming to be a pilot when I wanted to impress a potential g/f.
