Personally, i'd want to be a power forward. A big, tough s.o.b. who can also put the puck in the net. A Phil Esposito type.

I want to be a PK Subban-like player with a big, wicked slap shot on the power play that scares the piss out of opposing goalies and penalty killers. Then when my team goes on the power play, I would tell the other team's PK unit that I am about to lower the boom on them. It would be fun.

Isn't Lindros the guy who skated with his head up and kept getting concussions? I remember Scott Stevens knocking Lindros cold and concussing him all because of poor fundamentals by Lindros in skating with his head up. It was like watching someone whack a piñata with a baseball bat. No kid should have to watch that. And that is all that I even remember about Lindros. That and Bobby Clarke calling him an untreatable cancer whom Clarke excised from the Flyers with a very heavy scalpel indeed.
Whomever gets the most groupies. My buddy played in the NHL. I remember the girls that were waiting for them after every game. You could of had one hell of a line-up for agency of the year. But they were giving it up for free...of course, nothing is free.

Always been a fan of goaltending. Used to play that position as a kid (mostly indoor hockey, but for fun at the local rink too) Mostly because i was big and running/skating after the puck was not my strongest point. Since im a kid i collect hockey cards and mostly of goalies , it may sound weird but i also really like the look of a goalie, the pads, the blocker, and mostly the helmet, all these cool designs are so amazing.

I totally agree with you. A lot of gullible/clueless people out there who believe any rumour they'll hear. Another b.s. story was the one about Richer being gay. His former coach once talked about that rumour and talked about the shock he felt when he heard it. He chuckled and said that he had often caught Richer in the company of incredibly beautiful women & that if Richer was gay, every single guy he knew would also want to be gay! lol
As for Eric Lindros, i was never a big Lindros fan when he played. However, i always respected his play & he was one hell of a hockey player. Like Pat Lafontaine & Cam Neely, their careers ended prematurely due to injuries. Lindros absolutely deserves to be on the hockey hall of fame, not a single doubt about it!
Plus, he was right in refusing to report to Quebec, whose organization had become the joke of the league at that point. It had nothing with the Nordiques being in a french province, since he would have dreamed to play for the habs at the time.
At the time. But others came along later, such as Al MacInnis, Mike Bossy and Brett Hull (Bobby's son), who had as hard a shot as Bobby. I'd also include P.K. Subban.
It is free and plentiful if you are famous enough. According to one groupie biography I've read celebs almost never even bother to go down on a chick. They don't have to bother even trying.

Big Al was among my initial choices, but i figured most people reading this thread wouldn't remember who he was or played with. I'm happy to to learn that i was wrong!
Big All had quite a shot. I still remember when he had the record for hardest shot at one of the first all-star game skills competition. What a character he is!
I would have liked to have been Subban scoring that second goal he had vs. Avs Saturday which was one of the more unbelievable goals I have ever seen, even if the Avs defenseman blew a tire. I would also come out of the penalty box like a bat released from hell (I would try to cheat by a second or two on that and it looked like Subban did as well). It must be something to fly around the goal at top speed and stay on your feet rather than lose your balance and slide ass first into the boards.
I changed my mind. I'd now rather be a defenceman. Defencemen are at a premium in the NHL & also have longer careers. Chris Chelios played until he was 45 and Nik Lidstrom wasn't too far back of him in terms of age. Zdeno Chara is 37 and still his team's best defenceman. Same goes with Andrei Markov, who's well into his 30's and he's still Mtl's best defenceman.
