Oh yeah, before i forget: the Leafs beat the Stanley Cup champs last night by a score of 4-3. Great game!

The Leafs played the Oilers last night (the worst team in the west, they even have fewer points than Toronto), they must have beaten Edmonton by a wide margin

Molson introduces new beer to celebrate 42 seasons of Leaf futility

Can it be just a coincidence that the sad sack Toronto franchise hasn’t had so much as a sniff of the Stanley Cup finals since ’67

Hah!! The closet Habs fan Ms. Cairo once again agrees with the biggest idiot on the board, whose posts are dumb & fueled by jealousy & usually childish & unoriginal.

The Scapegoat Game, play along

hey , mr closet may be onto something here, if he likes the wings, we know it is because they have been a good team the last decade or so, and thats his scapegoat team for when his habs suck, so why dont we all choose a "winner" for when our real team doesnt do as well so we can save face to? i choose the Penguins, Doc, you? anyone else can play along if you like, but i for one am in this little charade ms cairo has going, and no better way to go than choosing the reigning Stanley Cup Champs!!

so the red wings and pens are out, no one can jump on Cairo's or my bandwagon so choose another team :D:D:D:D

PS, gSg, your free to choose also, and i really urge you to do so as your real team is winning "notta" this season....

Hah!! The closet Habs fan Ms. Cairo once again agrees with the biggest idiot on the board, whose posts are dumb & fueled by jealousy & usually childish & unoriginal.

Actually Holliday, there have been many posts proving that 1) I am not a habs fan and 2) you and your boy Burke Junior are the real closet hab fans.

Next, I must remind you that the name is MISTER Cairo - or if you prefer you can call me SIR. By slavishly copying Burke Junior's silly and inaccurate use of my name, you are merely proving that you are 1) childish (let's be honest!), 2)unoriginal (hey you COPIED the insult - and from freakin Burke Junior, of ALL people!, 3) sexually confused, 4)a lot less intelligent than I had previously thought (although in fairness maybe that's just lggy's influence rubbing off on you), and 5) definitely spending WAY too much time with lggy Burke Junior

As for the biggest idiot on the board - let's just say that most people would not say it's GHG (who actually posts a lot of interesting and valid info and stats...as well as some truly funny stuff!) but rather a very close buddy of yours (whose "wit" rarely extends beyond "scabs" and "bwahaha")

As for jealousy... I could see people being jealous of the Wings, the Devils, the Pens, the Caps, maybe several other teams....but the freakin Maple Laffs!!!!!!!!??????? Even YOU have got to admit that's laughable! Why on earth would anyone be jealous of a team that hasn't even challenged for a Cup in 43 years, a team that has been at or near the bottom of the entire league all season and with no hope for this season OR the future, a team whose best (ha ha) offensive player is a prima donna reject from the Bruins, a team that has a history of scandal and ineptitude (Ballard. Maple Leaf Garden sex scandals, John Ferguson Jr., The Burke/Wilson ongoing comedy show and on and on ad infinitum. Who would be jealous of a team whose players have included stiffs and bums like Brian Spencer, Tie Domi and Jiri Tlusty? Answer: no one!

I just wanted to make these valid points Holliday but hey no hard feelings. Happy New Year - I hope you have a great 2010 jumping on a winning bandwagon as soon as the leafs are mathematically eliminated. I also wish you the best of times in watching all those figure skating competitions you've said you enjoy so much. Best wishes.

Signed Mister Cairo.

its got to the point your endless drival is pointless,,,,,,, and if you were not such a habs fan you would not feel the need to defend it in every post......... let it go, it is ok if you like them

So the leafs have started 2010 in the way everyone expected - by losing again.

They got lucky though because the Oilers also lost, meaning that the leafs were able to hold on proudly to 28th place in the NHL, a whole point ahead of the Oilers.

Interesting to note that the leafs are worse than 27 teams and "better" (???) than only two. The two they are "better" (???) than are...(drum roll please) the Oilers (coached by EX-LEAF coach Pat Quinn) and the Whalers (coached by EX-LEAF coach Paul Maurice)! Quite a coincidence, is it not? Now Quinn and Maurice are knowledgable hockey men, but it seems that once you've been associated with the leafs their stink of failure never leaves you.

u can say anything ur lil lady heart wishes about the leafs, my scapegoat and "REAL" TEAM ;);) had a great game and are one of the top teams in the NHL, and seeing that your scapegoat team the red wings are sitting outside a playoff spot right now, you may wanna pick another, may i suggest Colorado, or
phoenix? :p......

I see that you're jumping ship just like your very close friend Holliday always does. The only difference is that he usually waits till March to do it. I thought that you were a "true fan" as you've been bragging for several months. Obviously you, like your very close friend Holliday, are a "true fan" only until your hopeless and pathetic leafs have reached the point of no return.

You've proven many times that reading is not a skill you possess but I'll say one more time that I'm not a habs fan, I'm a Wings fan. I'll also say one more time that the Wings are rebuilding and will NOT win the Cup this year, in fact they will NOT win the Cup for at least 2 or 3 years, yet I am not jumping ship like two cowardly leaf fans that I know of. Maybe it's just a coincidence that these two cowards are very close friends of each other.

Nobody jumps ship more than your clone and yourself my little "scabitant" .......i just enjoy pulling the string of my favorite lil puppet. :) seems i am doing a good job lately, you used to post in other threads, but as of late it seems 95% of your posts are constant drival in the hockey threads, now mind you a little drival is fine but 95%? lets see if all the strings can be pulled at once , you may go off the deep end tho as i feel you have misplaced your meds the last few weeks....;)., and are ready for spontaneous combustion (dont worry, the match has not been lit, thats Docs job) :D

PS. i know you will like this since you dont"really" like the Les Scabitant , BUT, they lost again, nice way to start the new year eh? bwhahahahaaha (for you)
I see that you're jumping ship just like your very close friend Holliday always does..
