and Mr. Cairo calls hersefl, oups, my bad, Himself, a Red wings fan......... it is easy to see the red wings are you team when your real team sucks!...... nice try but you dont fool anyone but maybe the woman, dammit, i mean man in the mirror :D

First star, 2 goals in a 3-0 win - maybe that could be defined as impact Doc.

But hey, one game proves nothing, so let's look at some history.

Last year Markov had 64 points, good for 2nd in habs scoring, behind Kovalev's 65. Markov's 64 points were also 2nd in league scoring by a defenceman, behind Mike Green's 73. Markov's 64 points were also more than any Leaf - Jason Blake led the Leafs with 63.

In the past three seasons, Markov has totalled 64, 58, and 49 points - not shabby for a D-man, and his point totals have improved in each of those three years (obviously his points will drop this year).

In the past three seasons, Bergeron has totalled 32, 19, and 46 points with the 46 being in the first year. To be fair he only played in 55 games the year he had 19.

Career up to start of current season: Markov has 329 points (74 G, 255 A) in 571 games. Bergeron: 160 (62 G, 98 A) in 339 games.

It's obvious Markov is a far more potent offensive force (although Bergeron is a more productive goal scorer)...but hey, why let facts get in the way of your analysis?

love all the non sarcasm you like to think you post without , LOL!!..... and i for one loved all the hockey knowledge your post had in it....... bravo , excellent , do you even know what ice is? ..... i feel ashamed now for stooping to your level..... ah well, im over it now :D

PS,. i have more hockey knowledge in my pinky finger than you will ever have in your whole body in a lifetime.... .... but hey, how bout them red wings!? :p

Like many other posters, Ig, I do have hockey knowledge.

You however consistently demonstrate your lack of it by silly comments like this. If the Leafs are a better team overall then why are they still below the habs (and almost every other team - ha ha) at almost the halfway point of the season?

Oh and by the way last time I checked, the goalie was part of the team - probably the most important part. Thus if your "one weakness" (ha ha) is in goal, it's a pretty big freakin weakness...and maybe, just maybe, it means your TEAM sucks the big one.

But The Monstrosity got his first NHL shutout tonight so maybe you'll have to start looking for new excuses!

If you think you're showing hockey knowledge by 1) praying to a statue of Doc Holliiday each morning when you wake up, 2) ignoring FACTS left right and center and 3) using the "words" bwahaha and scabs every second sentence - I'm afraid you're sadly mistaken. It takes a little more than that to show you have even a basic understanding of the sport.

Finally, I know you have great difficulty with reading and writing, so I'll try not to be too judgemental, but as I 've told you before, the name is Cairo...MISTER Cairo.

1. Ice - oh sure, that's what the laffs screw up on nearly every time they play.

2. Burke and Wilson would have permanent orgasms if they ever had a team even half as good as the Wings. Sadly for them, they never will - a) because they're stuck in TO, the armpit of hockey and b) because they're Burke and Wilson and they will personally screw up any team they're involved with (examples: Wilson couldn't do anything even with a good team like San Jose; Burke won a Cup with the team that Bryan Murray built (it was really Bryan Murray's Cup, not Burke's) and then proceeded to singlehandedly destroy that same team.

3. Maybe you shold try sharing some of that enormous hockey knowledge you CLAIM to possess, because all we've seen from you here in your 1000+ posts is "scabs, bwahaha, and Doc Holliday is my hero". I don't think you have ever mentioned an accurate fact, stat, or anything else to show you know anything about the sport. In fact quite the contrary as you happily ignore all facts. (examples: the leafs have statistically been one of the absolute worst teams all year but you consistently rave about how good they are; they have NEVER been ahead of the habs this year but you consistently rave about how they're so much better; Komi is statistically one of the worst players in hockey but you rave about what a great leader he is - sorry Ig but Mark Messier, Steve Yzerman, Bobby Clarke, Joe Sakic - those were great leaders, Komi is a great loser).

But I suppose you'll have a typically intelligent Iggy-style answer, probably something really witty along the lines of " scabs suck bwahaha". Yes ma'am (oops sorry - that's slipping a few thousand notches down to your level, so I'll change it to yes sir) - that will once again demonstrate your profound knowledge of hockey (ha ha).

As usual Ig you display zero hockey knowledge, ignore all facts and continue with your ridiculous childish insults. The hit on Stajan was perfectly clean - it's just that being a leaf he never learned to keep his head up. As for Zetterberg he's a better player than all the leafs put together.

Habs fan? No...but I don't hate them with a passion as I do the Leafs. And as much as I always hated the leafs , I hate them more every day when I read the stupid comments of their brainless fans.

Will the monster be able to last the whole year? I predict that he will have a real heart attack by years end playing for such a pathetic team.

I hope not cause he seems like a decent fellow, but I hear his agent is already insisting on a B.E.F.K. clause in his next contract. The B.E.F.K. clause (sometimes referred to as a "15 million dollars of shit" clause) would add $2,000,000 to any negotiated salary offer and would require that a fully charged ready to use defibrillator be placed on top of the net next to the Gatorade bottle at all times.

BTW for those who don't follow hockey, a B.E.F.K. clause = Beauchemin, Exelby, Finger, and Komisarek. :D

Considering what both Price & Halak have been faced with so far with possibly the worse Habs team in 50 years, and they haven't yet had a coronary, Gustavson should be alright. The Leafs have yet to allow 40 shots per game this season. As for the Habs, it's a common occurrence.

The Habs' sports psychologist is the most underpaid person on that team!

Maybe not - if he played for a real team he'd be expected to win. In TO goalies are expected to lose - and most TO goalies have been very successful in fulfilling that expectation during the past 42 (soon to be 43) years.

Interesting observation Doc: if this is, in fact, "the worse (sic) Habs team in 50 years", yet they have been ahead of the leafs all season...it sure as hell doesn't say much for the leafs, does it?

Doc and I are into women

Glad to hear it (and I guess that means you're not Brian Burke's son, as I used to suspect)...but given that you often address men as "Ms" I'm thinking that you might have a little difficulty making the distinction.

You can't win games by constantly being outshot ever night & scoring less than 3 goals a game.

Your observation is almost perfectly accurate.

To make it completely accurate just add these words at the end: "except against the leafs"

And, let's be fair, the habs wouldn't even have beaten the lowly leafs (for the third trime in 4 tries) if "merging superstar" Phil Kessel was able to put a puck in an open net.

Where is Go Habs Go?

Not seen in weeks. But the Habs have since put on a winning streak, whether or not they've deserved it is another matter altogether. But what's the streak now? Four in a row?

Okay, you can come out of hiding now, Go Habs Go. The Habs are in a playoff spot. I really don't think staying in hiding has anything to do with their playing streak, to be honest. Come out. It's okay. I promise i won't needle you for going into hiding AGAIN when your team was tanking the season away.
