I saw that Ichiro is in Miami
He only needs 150 more hits for 3000

In 15 years , he averages 208 hits a year that's a true hitter

That's on top of the 1,278 that he has in Japan.
Tony Gwynn and Ted Williams would agree. For sure

Masahiro Tanaka pitched one fine game today as the Yankees downed the Rays, 9-0. He pitched 7 innings of shutout ball, allowed 2 hits and struck out 8. He looked unrestricted in his delivery. It may be great news for the Yankees.

So the Yankees have a record of 5-6 and the Red Sox are 7-4. But the Yankees lead in run differential over the Red Sox, as the Yankees are +6 and the Red Sox are +4. I read somewhere that someone made a BIG DEAL out of the run differential. I guess this means that the Yankees will catch up and surpass the Red Sox in the standings eventually, perhaps very shortly?

Indeed, Tanaka was in Joe.t's words "LIghts Out". Chris Young is turning out to be a very good player and worth every penny they are paying him.

That grand slam was something. Young hit a foul ball deep down left field and I said while watching it, straighten it out and it would be a grand slam. Next pitch, grand slam. It's neat when players respond to your comments while you are watching TV.

Haha, can you do this every game for the Bombers, DD41? Speaking of the Bombers, the Yanks are tied for 1st in MLB in HR's...... I know it is early but still a nice stat for the haters.

Tanaka was absolutely lights out tonight...against a team of AAA hitters aside from Longoria. Lol. Meanwhile Buchholz came off a disastrous last start and pitched 6 good innings allowing 2 ER against a stacked Baltimore lineup. Unfortunately for the Sox their bats took the night off.

I know it's early but haters also love this stat. ;)

I see you have attended a school headed by a well known poster here and are following his number 1 rule. When someone on your rivalry team does well, degrade the opposition they played against. The Rays are in the Majors, K. The Red Hosers play the same number of games against them as the Yankees. But you have aced his course.

And by the way, the Rays are a game and a half behind your Red Hosers.

The low class of an average Red Sox fan

Here you go. Yankee fans are leaving the Fenway. It was that 19 inning game. An intoxicated Red Sox fan guzzling on his beer gets into a verbal altercation with the Yankee fans. Guess what? The Red Sox fan ends up doing? And guess how the classy Yankee fan reacts.

I can see some of you acting this way at Fenway.

Let's go to the video as Warner Wolf would say:

Early? One infamous poster here has declared the Red Sox as the winners of the AL East after 10 games. Early?

I don't understand. The Yankee fans initiated physical contact at the 1:35 mark of the video, apparently reaching into the lap of the Boston fan. (in an attempt to cause the latter's beer to spill?)

First off DD. This didn't occur at the lovely Fenway Park, this occurred at the House that Ruth didn't build! In this video you can clearly see a typical asshole Yankee fan berating a female and telling her to "go back to Boston, we don't want you here," (such a classy guy isn't he? LOL) said asshole Yankee fan then approaches the female's male companion, cowers when Boston fan with greatest shirt in history gets in his face, waits for Boston guy to take his seat then takes a swipe at his beer in his lap and knocks it out of his hand and gets exactly what he deserves!! Are you that f'n blind in your hatred of Boston to see that this Yankee fan was completely classless and entirely to blame for the altercation. Doesn't surprise me though that when confronted after starting the altercation, the Yankee fan then cowers behind his GF and buzzed up the stairs before Boston boy laid a beating on him! Hahahaha. You have to do better than that DD, you're disappointing me.

You completely understand and see exactly what everyone else sees Anon but DD41 is his blind hatred for Boston isn't able to grasp any reality and blames the episode on the "class of an average Red Sox fan" Hahaha!! So clueless!

In typical cowardly fashion I see you're in mid-season form with your usual infamous MO where you can't help yourself but take shots at a poster who's unable to respond to you. Ahhhh. Classic DD41! Hahahaha.

Rumples is banned? Shoot I had so more Jose Iglesius stats for him to consider.

Iggy led the league in infield singles in 2013. He leads the league now with 4.
He is currently leads the league in BA
He is second in OB%
He is third in BA with runner in scoring position
I think they said he was either 1, 2, or 3 in steals.

Oh yes, he aint bad in the field either.

More from the Cubano/Red Sox connection.

Cespedes hit a 2-out grand slam and a 2-out 2run homer.

Thank you Yankees (see below)

Shane Greene notched his 3rd victory and he finally gave up an earned run. His first earned run allowed this season after 27 1/3 innings. First to do this since Tiger's should be hall of famer did it in 1984..

BOYZZZ!

Did you actually see any of the video?

1. "Yankee fans are leaving the Fenway".

I've been to Fenway many, many times. I've never seen those navy blue seats with the Yankees logos on each row in "the Fenway". Honestly, what the hell are you looking at?

2. "An intoxicated Red Sox fan guzzling on his beer gets into a verbal altercation with the Yankee fans."

We don't see who started the verbal battle but it does show the Yankee fan getting out of his seat and going toward the Red Sox fans where the Yankees fan stops to continue the verbal squabble face to face instead of moving on to whatever other reason he may have had for getting up at all...possible nothing but increasing the tension. Hope he enjoyed the beer bath. :D :thumb:

3. "And guess how the classy Yankee fan reacts."

Do you mean the part at 1:02 of the video YOU posted where the Yankee fan knocks down the beer of the Sox fan who was looking toward the game at that moment, then the Sox girlfriend throws a beer in the Yankee fans face while the Yankees fans in the crowd love every minute of it? "Classy"??? Yeah, if you define it as sneaking in a shot at someone's beer when he's not looking.

DD what is the point of you posting a video that allows everyone to see all you said was dead wrong?

DD, take your shots at myself and SK. We can respond, Rumples can't.

Cheers,

Merlot

BOYZZZZZZZZZ! :D

Personally I think both the Yankees fan and the rouge hoser fan are low class, anyone who wastes a $15 beer like that should never be allowed to drink again

LOL Iggy. You are a wise man and not just a table setter (although you are pretty good at that too).
