Doc Doc Doc, dont be a spin Dr. like a few others here, come on now, ....... you failed to mention Arod Had a HR in helping his team to victory, as well, going 1-3 means he upped his avg alot as 1-3 is batting .333 , plus this is basically his spring training, and hitting in front of Tex the rest of the season is well, gonna be great and give him pitches to hit, lets hope he stays healthy tho ......

Well, it IS true that Papi's horse is dead. He's getting up in years, his eyesight isn't what it used to be, and his batting swing has slowed down. Even though he's finished (come on, he really is!), it hasn't seemed to affect the Red Sox very much. They keep on winning. After the Jays, they're the hottest team in the AL.

However, i was the only one posting in it....no one gave it a second's attention. People encouraged to post in this one instead. So i gave up & joined 'the Red Sox vs. Yankees sniping thread' instead, trying to mention stuff unrelated to the Yankees/Red Sox once in a while, with little interest.....

I have been one of the worst, maybe the worst in some ways, for going on the sniping route for over two years. Boy, I sicken myself when I think about it. It's part off fan commitment I guess to get carried away with partisanship. But when all that exists is this hyperbolic sniping it becomes sickening. It would be so nice to have a little sincerity and honesty leading to real discussing from those interested and capable. I am not talking about some presumptuous "Algonquian Round Table" of sports; but just some sincere "average sports fan" discussion. I am not trying to change this thread. Let the over-the-top stuff continue as those who want it wish. But, this contest of who can get one up over the other all of the time sucks for me. It's too easy and it's cheap.
