Now that Alex is hitting behind him opposing pitchers have no choice but to pitch to him, expect Tex to start mashing the ball like crazy and produce his first of many 40 HR, 100 plus RBI seasons with my Yankees.

Hey SK,

Well, that's only half of the embarrassment.

The 8-year contracted Texerror is now hitting above .200 at last. Bravo! And at the price of $20.6 million. Tragically, this is the good news. At the bargain rate of just $33 million the Stanks get the 10-year contracted A-Roid/A-Fraud/A-Joke hitting .136...WHAT...did I just write .136...DAMN...it is .136. Talk about some obvious signs of going without the morning "juice." THAT'S what Stankee fans get for $200 million+++ ...

Bwahahaha!

Texeira went 0 for 4 today. His steroid buddy A-Rod went 1 for 3 & he's batting .172. How long will it take him to get over the Tex line?

Oh yeah, Blue Jays won again!!!! They swept the White Sox & won 8-2 !!!!!

Who's the top team in the American League?? THE BLUE JAYS, OF COURSE!!!!! :D :D

Doc Doc Doc, dont be a spin Dr. like a few others here, come on now, :D ....... you failed to mention Arod Had a HR in helping his team to victory, as well, going 1-3 means he upped his avg alot as 1-3 is batting .333 , plus this is basically his spring training, and hitting in front of Tex the rest of the season is well, gonna be great and give him pitches to hit, lets hope he stays healthy tho :) ......

CONGRATS! to the Jays, hope they keep it up, i really do! be great to see the Yanks as well as the Jays beat the red suxs out for a playoff spot this season

the guy that should be pointed out as having a bad yr so far is not Tex, (i mean he does have 8 homers) but lil papi, good news however is that his avg didnt go down today but then again, he is picking splinters these days :D

someone said they saw him and grapes crying and walking the "wrong way" down st catherines if you get my drift..... mumbling something like "i miss papi, all we got now is a shell of a man, lil papi formerly known as big papi"

Johnny is a man playing like a man possessed so far this year, easily the Yanks MVP so far...

Hello all,

It would be nice if there was some real honest baseball discussion once in a while instead of all of this sniping. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, just makes this thread a total joke.

Cheers,

Merlot

Well, it IS true that Papi's horse is dead. He's getting up in years, his eyesight isn't what it used to be, and his batting swing has slowed down. Even though he's finished (come on, he really is!), it hasn't seemed to affect the Red Sox very much. They keep on winning. After the Jays, they're the hottest team in the AL.

Which is exactly why i had started a new thread dedicated to baseball called "The MERB baseball thread" just a couple of months ago. However, i was the only one posting in it....no one gave it a second's attention. People encouraged to post in this one instead. So i gave up & joined 'the Red Sox vs. Yankees sniping thread' instead, trying to mention stuff unrelated to the Yankees/Red Sox once in a while, with little interest.....

Hello Doc,

I have been one of the worst, maybe the worst in some ways, for going on the sniping route for over two years. Boy, I sicken myself when I think about it. It's part off fan commitment I guess to get carried away with partisanship. But when all that exists is this hyperbolic sniping it becomes sickening. It would be so nice to have a little sincerity and honesty leading to real discussing from those interested and capable. I am not talking about some presumptuous "Algonquian Round Table" of sports; but just some sincere "average sports fan" discussion. I am not trying to change this thread. Let the over-the-top stuff continue as those who want it wish. But, this contest of who can get one up over the other all of the time sucks for me. It's too easy and it's cheap.

pfffssst,

Merlot

Okay okay, if the asterisk really bothers you that much all you have to do is ask and I will remove it, but not before it's had it's run!!!!!!!!:D.
