Full marks to the Habs for dumping the second worst GM in the entire NHL.
As for the Leafs, it seems they are proudly hanging on to the ABSOLUTE WORST GM in the NHL. This is FABULOUS news for hockey fans because it means Toronto will continue providing great laughs for decades to come!

Mod 8, you have to forgive the NON Hockey fans whom only come into HOCKEY threads at the end of the season (cough cough, bandwagon, cough cough) many of whom are never seen nor heard from during the season or the ones who only come to hate on a team from a sport they no or care nothing about (as admitted) over spite from what happened to their team from another sport. I made a simple comment to special k because of his hypocritical post and that was that, it was done, but rumpie poo wanted to roll with it, so it escalated, no big surprise there coming from edgy red sox fans after last seasons debacle. Now, back to Hockey, lets hope

I love my teams but do not take losing personally, I have absolutely no control over what my favorite teams do and if they win, I am happy, if they lose, it does not dictate my life and NEVER will.

Maybe it's just me but I have no idea what you're talking about in the section I've bolded. Why would I make fun of my team if they haven't won in 39 or 86 years??? Additionally, I haven't even been alive yet for even half of those 86 years, that means nothing to me. Did you have a brain cramp when writing this out?
Also, I don't get mad at anything you write here, I get irritated at your delusional, incessant text messages when the Leaf's go on a 4 game winning streak (which thankfully they haven't done in awhile!) and you're claiming that now's the time this young team is turning the corner when everyone with an ounce of hockey knowledge knows how this book ends. The Toronto Maple Leafs are running out of chances to end a record-setting losing streak at Air Canada Centre.
Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds each scored twice Thursday as the playoff-bound Philadelphia Flyers hammered the Maple Leafs 7-1, handing Toronto its 11th straight loss at home.
It was another ugly night in a second half full of them for the Maple Leafs. The home fans continue to find new ways to show their displeasure, starting up a “Let's Go Blue Jays!” chant on a couple occasions — a clear sign most have already turned their attention to baseball season.
The Leafs may be the WORST FRANCHISE in hockey history. No one has failed longer.
BTW...there are no extra draft picks for utter humiliation. A loss is a loss, there are no extra points for being spanked over and over.

Leafs fans are the best hires!
I think that the next time I need to hire for my company I am going to strongly discriminate in favor of Leafs' fans.
It is easy to be a fan of a perennial contender such as the Yankees or Bosox. It takes extraordinary and very admirable loyalty to see a silver lining in a sewer.
It's also a pleasure to be in the company of the perpetually optimistic. Now, after four years, they are cheering the prospect of last place to get a higher draft pick. (They don't trade their high draft picks for perpetually minus players, do they?) Detroit's management must be awfully stupid to make the playoffs all the time instead of tanking and missing the playoffs year after year to get higher draft picks.
I know also that they will rarely criticize the boss even out of earshot, no matter how bad things become. The fact that Burke is still regarded by many as deserving of another few years and even as a genius is astonishing to me. Any objective evaluation (e.g. points per season, standings in the conference, making the playoffs) would demonstrate the utter futility of that pugnacious windbag.
