I was about to say the same thing about Dion lol.... Rielly had a huge game tonight and is making big strides in his game. I watched the US Feed of the game and Pierre McGuire was ecstatic about Morgan's game tonight and even called him a rising star.

Jake Gardiner may have played his best game this season tonight.

By the way, Clarkson playing very well this season & i love that Komarov/Santorelli line!

Agreed on all points DH,

David Clarkson is now provng to be the player we thought we signed for last offseason and is playing DC type hockey. Komarov ANOTHER point tonight and is becoming a HUGE fan favorite. He is what a hockey player is all about, Tough as nails, skilled and gives 100% every second on every shift. Quite the stache' he is sporting these days as well lol.

Agreed on all points, Iggy.

David Clarkson is playing exactly as he was advertised when he became a free agent. The David Clarkson we've seen this season is the player they hoped to get when they signed him to that long-term contract. He's worth every dime they're paying him!

p.s. What a game (again!) by Phil "The Thrill" Kessel last night. He's definitely among the top 3 players in the entire league. What an acquisition he was! :thumb:

As a Habs fan, I want to thank the Leafs for completely demoralizing Boston. A Canada one-two punch knocked out.

I must admit that even though i'm certainly no habs fan, last night's TKO of the Bruins felt kinda sweet. :D

p.s. Even though they had won 6 consecutive games prior to meeting the Leafs the other night, Bruins fans will likely try to blame it on the fact Chara & Kreci weren't playing.

Well, we had NO LUPUL and NO BOOTH!

tough loss in TO tonight against "Panthers Pens" ;) But getting beat 2-1 by A Stanley Cup Contender is nothing to be ashamed of as the Leafs went tooth and nail with them. If there is such a thing as a good loss, this was it.

Jonathan "Big Game" Bernier was a beast but so was the Pens goalie.

Bruins fans will likely try to blame it on the fact Chara & Kreci weren't playing.

David Booth

I keep forgetting he's a Maple Leaf. He has yet to play a game due to suffering a broken foot during training camp. Well, he went through a full practice with the team yesterday & from what i saw in the highlights, i wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the lineup by the weekend.

I think his addition will help the team. Lupul is also close, but likely a week or two away. Once both of these players are back, the Leafs will likely have a bonafide 4th line to use more often. Someone will have to pay the price & be sent down. Here's hoping it's not Peter Holland since he's been playing extremely well since Lupul's absence.

Matt Frattin is a shade of what he was in his first stint with the Leafs. I have no idea why. Personal issues, maybe? It's strange that a young player with so much promise suddenly became the player he now is. He's already with his 4th team.

I'd also want to point out that it's time for Carlyle to once and for all name Jonathan Bernier as his #1 goalie. The constant yo-yo game he's played with his goaltenders over the past 2 seasons needs to stop. Bernier must be named #1 and Reimer will play only when Bernier says he needs a game off. That's how it is now on most teams and teams that continuously alternate their goalies is a thing of the past. Former goaltenders have all stated that it's very hard on a goaltender to never not know when he's playing. Bernier has earned the #1 job and he's by far the better of the two. Period.

p.s. Doctor of Love?? WTF??

Agreed on all points, DOC.

Frattin looked like a cant miss decent player in the NHL when her arrived but now? Yikes! Maybe he has gone back to the party lifestyle he had a problem with in college?

Bingo about Bernier as the #1.

You gave me a nickname, i cant give u one? Would u prefer Doctor of Hate? jk bro

HOLY FCUK.

It is now Nsh 8-0 over the Leafs in middle of 3rd period.

Tell me the final score. Based on the play, could be 10+ goals for Nashville.

Is this the worse Leafs loss in 10 years? I don't wanna check.

SO, will heads roll after this loss?

PS: I am gonna drop ALL my Leafs in Yahoo NHL leagues, LOL.

Matt Frattin has just been put on waivers. My guess is that he'll spend the rest of the season with the Marlies unless he's picked up.

I read the Ron Wilson interview on sportsnet, found it interesting what he had to say; coach, the fans and players. I believe him it is not an easy place to coach or play. I also agree with Kessel on what he said about the fan who threw the jersey on the ice.

I have yet to hear the interviews. But i also do believe that it's a tough place to coach or play when your team ain't doing as well as expected.

What's odd is that unlike the idiots who call the on-air talk shows or post comments in the newspapers or on social media, i have met or know dozens & dozens of Leafs fans and i can't think of a single one who acts or whines like those people. When i listen to a radio show or read another negative comment about the Leafs....and most of them don't make any sense whatsoever, i often wonder if or how big of a fan they really are.

And in regards to throwing their jerseys onto the ice, i figure they must be sloshed out of their mind when they do it. Heck, i paid over $200 for my jersey a few months ago & there's no way in hell i'm throwing it onto the ice!

I heard the Maple Leafs forgo fan salute after their big win over the lighting. Good for them!

Same here. I've always found that stupid 'fan salute' a bit cheesy. As if the players care, to be honest. They do this saluting thing because the people who sign their paycheques told them to do it.

Huge win by the Leafs last night, by the way. Tampa is one of the East's top teams and the Leafs continue to prove that their bipolar.

Montreal really surprised me against St-Louis, but that's for a different thread.

David Booth & Joffrey Lupul will return to the lineup on Wednesday. Korbinian Holzer was called up to replace Roman Polak, currently out with a knee injury suffered in the Leafs' demolition of Detroit.

Did anyone see that freight train that drove through the ACC tonight against the Dallas Stars? Another 5 goals for the good guys. It could have easily been 8,9 or more had it not been for the goalie not named Bernier tonight as he made some amazing saves for Big D.

Keep er going Leafs, points now in their last 5 games and playing some of the most exciting hockey in all of the NHL right now!

GO LEAFS GO!
