Of the top of your head ? maybe you should google them then since you can't even get the right answer... How about 2 or 3 ?

Ok, I was mistaken. Allow me to make you look like an idiot and get the exact numbers and I'll even include the links for you. Celts made the playoffs 6 times since 2001-2010, the Pats made the playoffs 7 times so yea, that's alot more than 2 or 3 isn't it???

Again, who the fuck are the Alouettes?

Where I belong.
Maybe he forgot he was in his own zone and was just throwing the puck in front of the net to set someone up? Hahahaha. What a horrendous play in any case.
Actually, if you look carefully at the replay, check the look in Komi's eyes. Then glance up to where iggy was sitting. Komi was clearly having a brain-meld with iggy.

I don't know a whole lot about hockey, but I've seen iggy brain-melds before as they're most common when a baseball is hit hit three steps to Derek Jeter's right.

Toronto Maple Leafs: Brian Burke Needs to be Fired

Truculence and arrogance will apparently only take you so far.

Last night in Montreal, a Brian Burke-created team displayed a power play that made the Canadiens look like the mid-80 Oilers.

Throw in defenseman Mike Komisarek's errant pass to Mike Cammalleri for the second Montreal goal and the game last night was almost a blanket condemnation of the moves Burke has made since he came to Toronto.

We've all heard of post-concussion syndrome but maybe poor Komi was confused due to post-Lucic syndrome.

I actually watched that fight recently & it was pretty even for the most part until the moment Mike lost his balance & fell to the ice on his shoulder.

He just fears Burke Doc, cause he knows we actually have a GM who will and is turning things around, right now only a few points out of a playoff spot with 60plus to go.,.. not time to panic, very good game to watch last night, Price was on his game... 1-1 in the season series so far, always close and entertaining between the two.
And you need another vacation.....Mod?

I totally agree with you on all counts. I won't dump on our beloved Maple Leafs after last night's close game where any team could have won & luck had a say in the final outcome. The habs finally won one against the Leafs.....it had to happen one of these days, right? Losing 2-0 on two goals that could easily have been avoided (and no-goals by the Leafs on a few posts) is nothing to be ashamed of. Go Leafs Go! :D

Geezz Doc...you seem a little touchy
smiley-crying.gif
.
GHG posts a legit article and I ask a legit question and suddenly you break out your Mod calling gear?Sorry if I offended you by saying s&#t...next time I'll say crap instead. I'll move my post to the free for all thread, didn't mean to soil the sacred thread...seems the heat here in the kitchen may be too much for some.

You and your little buddy should remember that next time either may feel inclined to soil other threads as is done on a regular basis. Hope you feel better now;). I understand though...it was a tough loss to your hated arch rival...

Have fun,

Jman

PS Just curious as to the selectivity used and why you didn't call out everyone making what could be deemed an inappropriate post in the thread...? Not that I saw anything wrong with any of the posts...

You guys don't seem to want to obey the rules i set in for this thread. So if you don't want to obey after having been warned over & over, it's time to go to the principal. If you want to talk crap & stir up shit, post in the other threads. Not here. Period.

Easy, Jman. They spent a lot of money to go to the game last night. In fact, if you divide the number of dollars they spent on tickets by the number of goals scored by the Leafs, you get...
I'll spend money for a ticket to a hockey game 100 times before i'd spend the same amount on a ________. Nothing beats the enjoyment of a live hockey game & the memories. Nothing!

I don't have a problem with the rules and I moved the post that apparently offended you. My question that went unanswered is still out there...why single out 2 members and not mention 2 others who also flamed your thread? No need to answer...but where I come from...if you are gonna apply the rules, you apply them fairly and equally.

One, GHG has been warned enough & has already been suspended several times in the past. He's the Sean Avery of this board!

Two, the other two's posts made me chuckle. I very easily could have reacted the same way, but i didn't.

Finally, you & Rumples constantly use sarcasm & stupidity in order to break the rules i set & it usually leads to off-topic posts. Your posts instigate & all you seem to want is retaliation. I understand your reasons (not simply yourself, but others also) for doing so: Iggy & I have been ignoring most of the other hockey threads. We're not interested in posting in your threads since they'll only lead to flame wars. So you guys come in here & pollute MY thread in order to stir up shit. I won't have any of it. Period.

Hello Rumples.....Doc just has a different brand of humor than I do sometimes. And like I said, I understand when you are passionate about your team that you can be a little touchy after they just "s**t the bed" as we say...after all I don't know how else you could describe a pass by your own defenseman to the opposing team resulting in a picture perfect goal.

More proof that you're simply here to instigate with your lousy sense of humor. Read once AGAIN the first post of this thread & maybe you'll learn something. Stop acting like a jackass & take your clownish act to the other threads if you want to act like one. If you have trouble reading the first post of this thread, i'll send you an audio tape if you need one.

p.s. If you & Rumples want to talk about me, that's what the PM function is for. Don't use this thread to do it.

Iggy is Iggy & Doc is Doc. He makes his choices, i make mine.

You seem to forget that this is MY thread, and I set the rules. For example, let's say i drop by your place uninvited & when i walk into your place, i refuse to take off my shoes even though there's a sign posted at the door that tells me to please remove my shoes. I then head over to the dining room & stick my feet on top of the table. Is this acceptable behaviour? Of course not! It's YOUR house! I'm a guest in YOUR house. Just like this thread: you're a guest in MY house. It's MY thread & i want the rules that i implemented for this particular thread to be respected & followed. I don't want ANY trouble in my house & i'll do my best to keep the intruders & troublemakers away.....since i love MY house! Get it?

p.s. Earlier, i was referring to JC & SK. They made me chuckle. Who else were you referring to?

You know as well as I do who all of the offenders are...as you stated, you are simply applying selective discipline based on your chuckle factor.

The moderators apply discipline, i don't. I simply have the power to object & express my opinion that 'enough is enough'. This thread was created for Leafs fans. I wanted a flame war-free thread. A thread without any fucktard comments simply to annoy others. I wanted a positive thread. A thread where topics dealing with the Toronto Maple Leafs could be exchanged cordially. I didn't want this thread to be a place where past & current feuds between members could be rehashed and/or continued. Is this too much to ask?

This season, i have zero interest in getting involved in childish flame wars & name-calling like in past years. That's why i avoid & refuse to visit two other hockey threads, the official habs thread & the free-for-all thread. Who knows, one day i might change my mind & decide to check them out. But i want to keep on enjoying Merb & i get most of my enjoyment in the sports threads. As time went on, i got sick n' tired of stupid flame wars & insults thrown every which way in many of the threads. I'm usually not an instigator, but i'm very good at retaliating. I can get right-down nasty & have at times enjoyed good ol' fashioned mudslinging, but i usually wind up regretting some of things i've said & it's often too late to repair the damage already done. I hope not having to revisit that place again.
