Who knows. It's too bad the habs couldn't beat the mighty Devils last Sunday in Montreal. What a powerhouse those Devils have become! :D

(Oops! Do they really have only 44 points? Even with Kovalchuk? Shocking!)

As I said BEFORE tonight's win against the Leafs, "Lemaire has turned the Devils into one of the hottest teams in the NHL." (Damn, I'm good!)

However, now I'll paraphrase the good Doctor's quote here and say: It's too bad the leafs couldn't beat the mighty Devils tonight. What a powerhouse those Devils have become!"

Well, uh, YEAH: 11-1-2 in their last 14 ain't too shabby.

And to quote the good Doctor once more: "Oops! Do they really have only 44 points? Even with Kovalchuk? Shocking!"

Well, uh, maybe not so shocking anymore...because if they had 44 BEFORE their game with the leafs, I guess they NOW have 46! Oh, and by the way, it was Kovalchuk who scored the winning goal - oh, the irony, eh Doc?

Afterwards, Kovalchuk again validated my pre-game posts on this subject when he said that Lemaire has made all the difference. He said Lemaire is the best coach in the NHL and has taught him a lot and that it is fun to play again. Watching Kovalchuk tonight, it's obvious he was having fun, as he was flying out there!

Sadly, however, it didn't look like poor Phil Kessel was having ANY fun at all. Still no goals - what is it now : 13 games without a goal for the "merging superstar" (sic) ? Still, by HIS standards, Phil EXPLODED offensively tonight with a breakout game in which he had ...AN ASSIST! That's a lot better than he usually does, so I hope SOMEONE is springing for champagne!

Go Devils Go!

OH Well I might as well say it... the Leafs does have one positive quality.

They are pretty stable.
It's the perfect team for hard core conservative nuts.

26 one day, 26 the next... they keep on being at the exact same standing !

So now the bet is to know if they can make it to 25th or fall to 27th.

Oh by the way I think I found our 2 love birds' new facebook page :

Oh well... seems like some nuts are always betting on stupid things instead...

The Leafs still have a chance to make the playoffs.... next year.

I like their chances better than the habs, who'll lose half the team once this season ends. Oh well, maybe that's not a bad thing after all. :D

Final score in the last three games:

Buffalo 2 Habs 0

Boston 8 Habs 0

Washington 2 Habs 0

Ole, ole, ole....................................LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

No doubt your habs friend is totally clueless about the game of hockey. Does he know it's played with a stick & a puck....and not with a bat & a ball? :D

Here is somethin' to read while being on therapy...

http://www.wewantacup.com/

What astonishes about habs fans is how delusional they are. They don't seem to realize that it's been nearly 20 years since they last won their Cup, yet act like they won 10 cups in a row over the past decade.

Face it: "YOUR TEAM STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Canes stomp all over Habs; Habs trounced 6-2 & now only 2 points from 8th spot

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Jeff Skinner has made scoring look easy at times during his first season with Carolina. For a change, so did another of the Hurricanes' rookies.

Skinner had two goals and an assist, defenseman Jamie McBain had his first career two-goal game and Carolina beat the Montreal Canadiens 6-2 on Wednesday night to continue its push for a playoff spot.

"Looking back at the beginning of the season, I don't think I would have predicted [myself] to be here," said Skinner, who leads all rookies with 58 points and has 29 goals. "I look back and don't predict a lot of things that have happened, so you just sort of just try to roll with it, and hopefully we can keep it going."

Cory Stillman had a goal and an assist and Joni Pitkanen also scored for the ninth-place Hurricanes, three points behind Buffalo and the New York Rangers in the race for one of the eight Eastern Conference playoff spots. Carolina has won six of its last eight.

"We're playing really well. We're playing with some confidence, and that's what you need to do, especially at this time of the year," said Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward, who made 38 saves. "You can't play with fear of the what-ifs. You've got to take care of your business and enjoy the challenge that we have in front of us."

Mike Cammalleri and rookie P.K. Subban scored power-play goals for Montreal, which held a 40-35 shots advantage yet lost for the fifth time in seven games.

"We knew they were going to be desperate. They're fighting for the playoffs," Canadiens defenseman Roman Hamrlik said. "We just were not ready mentally. ... I don't think we competed, and they outworked us tonight."

Carey Price stopped 22 shots but allowed four goals in two periods for the Canadiens. Alex Auld replaced him to start the third and finished with seven saves.

"I can't blame the goalie," Montreal coach Jacques Martin said. "I think it was more tonight where our defense, we made some mistakes that cost us."
