Look behind you.
Fuck........ End of the year and the Oilers are second last overall. You would figure with that many first round draft picks a team would be at least near a playoff spot. My daughters ringette team would give them a run for the money on some nights. Need to dump a couple of wingers and trade for a qualified defenseman or 2, next management needs to be changed. Been a fan from the beginning of the Oilers and getting tired of the shit I see on the ice. Happy New Year :)

At least the Oilers have a future, unlike the Red Wings. Someone close to the Wings organization told me that BabCOCK is embarrassed about their overall scouting. He wonders "how many first or second-round picks of value have they produced in the past two decades?" He gives a lot of credit to the European scouts for getting lucky & saving the organization during those years. But Babcock himself realizes that their luck may have run out and that the Wings' future looks bleaker than many are willing to admit.

As for the habs, P.K. and Galchenyuk are promising players. But who knows if P.K. will still be with the organization in a few years? He'll likely get a monster contract ($9 to $10 million per season for 8 years) from the habs in the next few months or so. Is he worth that much? How crucial is Markov to his success? Markov will be 35 years old this year. He's slowed down considerably and let's face it: P.K. is also as much responsible for his decent play than anyone else. Markov should get on his knees and pray the Lord that he's been paired with P.K., which will likely force Bergeron's hand in giving him another lucrative contract in order to keep P.K. productive for the time being. Lars Eller is a decent player, but currently he's at his best and i doubt will ever improve much. Gallagher is too small for the league and the type of style he plays. Injuries will take their toll and he'll wind up being a journeyman player on other teams.

Indeed, Abdelkader's grandfather reportedly served under Hitler's regime. Nothing to be ashamed about since he likely didn't have a choice but to join the SS. This is what i had been told by a few people close to the Red Wings & until i'm convinced differently i'll stand by my statement. Is he a muslim who's forefathers anglicized their name? Possibly. But this is another story altogether and there is no need to dig deeper into the Abdelkader family tree. I saw him on 24/7 last week and he looks as caucasian as any other North American/European player in hockey. :D
You are one hell of a piece of work. You really don't give a fuck what you say, do you ?

You say " REPORTEDLY served under................" Where was it reported? Both bullshit and inflammatory.

You say " ....until I'm convinced differently......." Look his name up, you lazy piece of dung

You say "......no need to dig deeper..........." and that is your final idiotic answer ?

You say"......looks as caucasian as any other........../ European player...." Mother is Polish, bird brain.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Abdelkader

Justin Abdelkader is the son of Joseph and Sheryl Abdelkader. The surname Abdelkader is Arabic. His paternal grandfather, Yusuf Abdul Qadir (Anglicised Joseph Abdelkader), emigrated from Jordan at the age of 19 to Muskegon, Michigan, where he later met a Polish girl named Susie.[10][11][12]

Abdelkader was born and raised in Norton Shores and graduated from Mona Shores High School in 2005. He was named to the all-state hockey team and awarded the Mr. Hockey award, given to the top high school ice hockey player in Michigan. During his senior year, he played for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the USHL, and helped the team win the 2004–05 Clark Cup Championship.

I was going to ask what Doc's rancid bilge has to do with hockey, but then there's so much about gay cowboys and other crap that has nothing to do with hockey in this thread. The obvious answer is Doc has racist issues evidenced in part by his posted atrocious reaction to the passing of Mandela, which was deleted by the mods.

But in the first place, the Schutzstaffel (SS) was built on those the Nazis determined were racially pure and superior (total BS). Though some non-Germans were allowed to join if they met the sick racial standards, Jordanians (Arabs) were definitely not qualified and banned. That Doc can conceive any connection to the SS was "nothing to be ashamed of" connects to his many racially divisive/xenophobic allusions. Overall, his post is rife with race-baiting ...and that's not to mention his usual Muslim hating references.

Even the free-for-all is a hockey thread. It's typically mean-spirited, but what a terrible low Doc is at.

"Someone close to the Wings organization" my ass! You've been exposed so many times it's a wonder you haven't been arrested for indecency. Speaking of which, I see you have the same obsession with Doctor Babcock as your little lapdog (as indicated by the way you and junior both use capital letters in the spelling of the great coach's name). I've already pointed out in a previous post how totally incorrect and downright FALSE your statement about draft picks is. I won't waste my time repeating it, since all the intelligent readers of this thread are already aware of the TRUTH contained therein, and since you are obviously either unable to understand the FACTS or unwilling to admit that they are true. Then again, you're a leaf fan, so - just like the little guy who worships you - you obviously exist in a fantasy world.

What's interesting is that Nazem Kadri is a Muslim.

I hate Justin Abdelkader. If he'd ever be traded to the Leafs i'd switch teams.

p.s. Isn't 'Merlot' the name of a skunk from some comic book or something?

You mean you'd start to root for a real team? Or would you, more likely, go to the Calgary Flames, the only other team even REMOTELY as wretched as the leafs?

Psycho Joe is back at it!! I love it!!!

Interesting viewpoint: in YOUR world, stating a fact like the one you quoted ("You forget to mention that the Wings beat the leafs in BOTH Alumni games on the 31st") gets one labelled a "psycho".

What does your analyst have to say about that?

I was simply kidding around, Psycho Joe. However, considering your weak mental state these days, it's no surprise that you believe everything i write. You really should be taking your zoloft and/or your lithium. Skipping on your meds does you no good! ;)

I don't take meds - don't require them. Besides, from what I hear, your analyst is using most of the nation's stock for his number one patient (some leaf fan, I believe).
