I do believe you!! That you do not take your meds, that is. But trust me, you DO require them.

p.s. That's what all bipolars say when they don't take their meds: "I dont' need them."

I don't know what you're on tonight, but it's obviously VERY powerful stuff. Glad to see you're having a happy new year and DEFINITELY ringing it in - in style !

P.S. At least your BS is more entertaining and more grammatical than your lapdog's. :thumb:

Congratulations to the toronto maple leafs on evening their record against Detroit this season. Despite being outshot 43-26, the leafs won the game in a shootout as "Tie Game" Bernier allowed only 1 goal on 3 attempts while iggy's fave Jimmy Howard allowed 2.

Toronto is now on one of the most amazing win streaks in the history of the franchise and as a result has greatly improved its recent record. Bravo! Due to this utterly magnificent run (by leaf standards, that is), the record now shows that the leafs have:

lost 7 of their last 12
lost 11 of their last 18
lost 13 of their last 21

won 2 of their last 21 in regulation time
won 4 of their last 28 in regulation time

been outshot in 34 of their 42 games this season

Way to go, leafs!

Happy New Year to all!

And, since it's a new year, here's a free math lesson for iggy:

Question: What is 2014 minus 1967? (Take your time iggy. I realize math is not your specialty. Ask a "friend" or use a calculator. No problem.)

Tick, tick, tick, tick. Okay, pencils down.

The answer is.......47.

Consequently, hockey fans, we are officially retiring that oft-used expression 46 YEARS and replacing it with....47 YEARS.

Sincere congratulations to the leafs, their followers, and the makers of Koolaid on this remarkable achievement!:thumb:

Suggestion: leaf fans, start planning the grand celebration: in just 3 short years, you will be celebrating an unprecedented FIFTY YEARS OF COMPLETE AND UTTER FAILURE! Congratulations again.

Helpful hint: Order 3 separate floats right now, while prices are relatively low. Reserve one for Phil, one for Dion, and one for David C. Then order a king-size float for all the architects of this great tradition. Please note that the king-size float will have to be large enough to accommodate Brian Burke (chair of honor), Ron Wilson, David Nonis, Randy Carlyle, the Ontario Teachers, and a large photograph of the late Harold Ballard.

I dunno, Psycho Joe. I'm sure that the one that follows you all the time & speaks to you constantly must have a better opinion than mine. :D

This coming from someone who hear voices, says and thinks he played hockey (bullshit), coached (bullshit), took psychology for three years ( bullshit ),

and so on and so on. Did you ever hear the story about the boy who cried wolf.

Any thing that comes from you is, by your own admission, useless dribble.

Your self proclaimed great knowledge of hockey is making predictions. Useless predictions.. What if.......

Another Nail in the Coffin

Someone should call the police to report a robbery. Victim: toronto maple leafs. Thief: Carolina Hurricanes.

The leafs traded John-Michael Liles for Tim Gleason. Liles is BETTER than Gleason and the cap hit for Liles ($3.875 million) is LESS than the cap hit for Gleason ($4 million), but that wasn't enough for those thieving Canes. They ALSO got valued prospect Dennis Robertson. Pure, outright THEFT by the Canes against the leafs.

Mind you, since Carlyle was wasting Liles just like he wasted Grabo (and how did THAT one work out, leaf fans?), what's the difference?

Let's hope Joffrey Lupul gets a well-deserved suspension on Friday. If justice is served he'll join the long list of leafs (Kessel, Clarkson, Ashton, Kadri, Clarkson again, Phaneuf) suspended this season for their cowardly/dirty/unsportsmanlike/dangerous actions that have no place in hockey. Any time a leaf is suspended, it's a huge thumbs up for the NHL and a great day for hockey. The whole team should be gone.

More 'truculence' from the Leafs via a nasty crosscheck to the head - a multiple game suspension would be in order.

Even tho the refs missed the flying elbow to Lupuls head just before the cross check to Eaves, and the cross check into the ribs of Kessel by another dead things player, it was a dangerous play by the "intense" Joffery Lupul and he will get a game or two.

Lupul only got a fine, which what i figured he'd get. He was a repeat offender & because of this he would have had to get more than the last suspension. It might have warranted a game, but not more, so that's probably why a hefty fine to help out the old timers was the correct call by Shanahan. Another arguement from Lupul might have been that visibility was poor (and it was when you're on the ice) at the time, and since Shanahan had already played a game on that ice, he might have believed what Lupul was saying.

Lupul's arguement might also have included the fact Lupul had dealt with concussion issues in the recent past & was under the impression that Eaves was the player who had targeted his head earlier, which made him furious. All he saw was fire and when he turned around & looked up he believed Eaves was the player who had hit him.

There was also no hit to the head. The check was to the shoulder/neck area. It also happened in the heat-of-the moment in the middle of the action. It was not premeditated in any way.

Very happy Lupul wont miss any games. Love Lupes intensity! Bob Ryan could learn a thing or 2 from Joffery. Why are there no Senaturd fans on here? Probably all hiding like cairo will be once the Dead Things fall out of a playoff spot.

As usual, you were wrong. Unfortunately I was hoping that you would have been right on this one (hey, there's a first time for everything!) but the cheapshot artist got off easy with a fine of 10 grand (which unfortunately is the maximum allowed). Given that he's a repeat offender, they should have thrown the book at him...but the good news is that some other player will probably put this fragile crosschecker out soon again anyway. Maybe it'll even be captain pylon, who's put teammates out before with his uncontrolled shots. In fact, he put Lupul out for 25 games once before, so maybe he'll do it again to the glass man.

I don't hide, little man - unlike you. You hid after the EPIC COLLAPSE in game seven, you hid from the baseball thread after the Yankees blew it, and you hid several times when the leafs were on one of their usual binges of crap. The proof that YOU can't take the heat is all over the MERB sports section, as is the proof that I CAN. But hey: I'm not complaining! Every time you hide, the intelligence level of this thread skyrockets and every time you return it plummets.

As for Bobby Ryan, the only person thinking he lacks intensity is the former (FIRED) GM of the leafs, who produced four consecutive years of abject failure when he was in charge of that wretched franchise - so we don't CARE what HE thinks.

To be fair to Brian Burke, i heard his words again & i doubt he said them to shame Bobby Ryan. It appeared he was answering a reporter's question about Bobby Ryan & intensity. Burke simply told the truth in that Bobby Ryan was not an intense player & would never be confused with the word INTENSITY. It doesn't take a genius to see & admit that Bobby Ryan is more of a laid-back type of guy (like me!) and not the intense type.

What fueled the controversy was Ryan's overreacting to the statement & hinting to the effect that Burke felt he was basically crap. This wasn't what Burke said & it's unfair to Burke for making more of it. Burke simply told the truth in that Ryan was not an intense player, which he never was.

Of course, David Poile went into damage control in order to sweep the controversy under the carpet and apologized to Bobby Ryan, which was the classy thing to do. But i now view this entire matter as something that got blown way out of proportion by the media & Bobby Ryan, who showed that he may be an oversensitive individual.

There's a difference between being honest and being disrespectful. Burke was very unclassy (as well as inaccurate) in stating his opinion (yes, opinion, NOT fact!) about Ryan. Then, ONLY Poile had the decency to apologize - yes, classy (as you said) of Poile...and Burke was ABSENT in that regard.

Also, Ryan did NOT overreact - HE was merely responding honestly (and very graciously, considering the circumstances) to a reporter's questions.

No, you just continue to make a fool of yourself on a daily basis. Keep up the Great work MSC! (no, not mtl sex city)

More typical BS from you. Have someone READ you the posts in the sports threads, Captain Corpulent, and you'll see that everyone except your couple of "friends" considers you a loser.

The only thing Lupul can give lessons in is FRAGILITY.

P.S.: Hey Lupul, keep your eyes wide open and watch out for Dion's shots or he might give you ANOTHER 25 games off.
