I will make a bold prediction:

"Should the Leafs defeat the Dead Things (as i predict they will) tomorrow night, the Dead Things will not make the playoffs."

I'll be even more bolder: "Should the Leafs defeat the Dead Things tomorrow night, the Dead Things will not make the playoffs for the next 5 years."

More evidence of why you and ig should NEVER...EVER make predictions. You guys are just TOO freakin' easy.

Not "fear" but "scorn" and "contempt". After the thousands of times you two have been wrong with your advance bragging in the past 5 years, you'd think you might have learned by now. Sadly, you have not.

As usual I was right. You lose...again.

Joelcairo,

Doc writes " I will make a bold prediction: "

and then writes......." SHOULD the Leafs defeat........

It is obvious Doc has absolutely no faith in his own team. Rightfully so. They are that bad. Go Wings Go

As usual Ballsamic was correct again.

Well, the Leafs played a strong game in Detroit...dominating for most of the game.

Well, yeah...IF you consider being outplayed and outscored as "dominating". Maybe that philosophy explains why leaf fans think their team has been "dominating" for 47 YEARS.

Phil Kessel was absolutely amazing throughout the game!

"Amazing"? Funny, but I never realized "amazing" was a synonym for "invisible".

BTW, how many points did Phil score with his "amazing" performance?

You know, considering how "amazing" Phil was, isn't it kind of surprising that he wasn't chosen as one of the 3 stars? For some reason they chose YOUNG Gustav Nyquist as the first star. Do you think maybe it was because Goose had SIX shots and TWO goals? Just wondering.

Good Job JH! You are the only thing decent about that sad sack of a team you play for.

By "sad sack of a team" are you referring to the team that BEAT the leafs? Because if you are, that would seem to imply that the leafs, who LOST to a "sad sack of a team" must be REAL shit!

In all seriousness though, I sincerely congratulate the GRIFFINS on beating that piece of crap from hogtown.

You doubted me? haha.... this comes after his rested sad sack of a team beat a Leafs team coming off a huge road trip high from beating 2 of the top teams in the entire NHL and tired from the 5 game 10day trip across the country. (and a great performance by JH that saved the dead things tonight) Just wait til the meltdown when the Deadthings miss the playoffs and the Leafs make it! You aint seen nothing yet my friend lol.
Looks like you were right!

he knows the dead things wont make the playoffs and caught the Leafs and their back up goalie coming off their longest and most tiresome road trip of the year) Those are Facts!

No they're not" facts", they're EXCUSES, which is what losers like the leafs and their fans always resort to - that's one of the many reasons WHY they're losers and have been losers for 47 YEARS.

Oh boo hoo hoo: the league is so unfair to the leafs. Surely no OTHER team has road trips. Oh and the poor boys were "tired". Gee, they shouldn't have to play when they're "tired" - I bet no OTHER team ever has to play "tired".

You know, when you keep posting these wimpy excuses, you should at least play some violin music! It's absolutely pathetic how you leaflovers bring out the crying towel and the limp excuses all the time. After
47 YEARS of nothing but failure, failure, and more failure maybe you should realize that the only valid excuse is that your team SUCKS.

I know you were looking into that F A M O U S mirror when you wrote this lol
You know, Rev, maybe I'm mistaken but I seem to remember that back in the old days you sometimes actually posted something of intelligence and substance.

That's it for me boys - My arms are tired from hitting so many out of the park.

But I'll be back, I promise.

Doc, Ig, maybe you too Rev: do me a favor and put up some more of those famous predictions so I can have some more easy batting practice when I return.

P.S.: Looks like the usual end of season collapse has started for the leafs. Better make those golf course reservations NOW.

Is this the night that the Leafs eliminate the Broken Wings from the playoffs?

It could happen. However, the Wings have definitely done something to the ice in order to slow down the quicker Leafs. I know the building is a dump & should be torn down, but come on! You can't have ice this crappy for NHL hockey!!

The Leafs are not on top of their game....they appear immobile at times, and playing somewhat sloppy hockey. James Reimer seems to have trouble handling the puck. However, i have a feeling that the Leafs will come out skating in the second period & take the game to the much weaker Dead Things.

Go Leafs Go!

Ice surface ?? The leafs have never been on top of their game. THEY LOST !!! HABS won !! RED WINGS won !!!

Life is great. Ain't it, Abbott and Costello
