Now Cam Neely finally has an excuse to fire Claude Julien, whom he's despised ever since he's been there. My sources have told me over the past few months that there is a lot of turmoil within the Boston Bruins organization at the upper management echelon. You have the Peter Chiarelli camp vs. the Cam Neely camp. If Julien gets (unfairly) fired, we'll get a hint at which camp prevailed of the other.
Heroes during these finals:
Bryan Bickell, Zdeno Chara, Patrice Bergeron, Patrick Kane, Milan Lucic, Jonathan Toews, Tukka Rask, Duncan Keith, Corey Crawford, Claude Julien.
Zeroes:
Can't think of any.
Playoffs zeroes:
Pittsburgh Penguins. What a tremendous disappointment they were to all hockey fans. Tyler Seguin, who had an absolutely brutal playoffs. Had he been able to score just a few goals, the Bruins would likely be the Stanley Cup champions today.
p.s. Why did Vancouver jump the gun in hiring the despised (by all) John Tortorella? What was the hurry? No one else would have hired him anyway (other than possibly the Bruins had they fired Julien). If Claude Julien is fired in Boston, Vancouver will be kicking themselves for not being more patient. Julien would be perfect for Vancouver's team.
